Why are my slices messing up my entire latour

I am creating hom page that has links to other department
pages. I am trying to make each of the 5 buttons have a rollover to
a brighter color. The buttons however are aranged randomly to fit
into a picture of our companies store. I know how to make a rolloer
for one but as soon as I create another slice when I preview I am
getting white space inserted into the page making it look very
distorted. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong your advice is
appreciated. Thanks

Why are my slices suddenly visable?

Hey folks. I was wondering if anyone could explain (and remedy) why the slices on my home page are suddenly visable. For the last four years they weren't. And oddly enough, with one browser (Safari) they're still not visable, but with other browsers they are. Mainly the horizontal slice lines on my home page. Please take a look:

Looks like the image coverart_22.jpg is to large for the cell its in .... forceing the table to grow larger and therby making "gaps" in the table cells so the slices show.
There are 2 easy fix ...
1. cut some px of the bottom of the coverart_22.jpg (50-100px) and give the cell its in a valign="top" so the image stays at top of the cell

btw: i see you have align middel and top in your code... i know GL alows for this but thats actualy wrong
You only use align for directions left, center, or right.
You use valign for directions top, middle, bottom, or basline.
2. Insted of cutting the image you merge the containg cell with the cell udner it and therby make room for the image inside it. by setting the rowspan to 16 + using valing="top" on the cell and remove the <td></td> in line 108

Why are my Slices White and Illegible?

Im trying to do a simple slice set up to save out my Illustrator file for web use.
Ive had an incredibly hard time getting the slices to position exactly where I want them.
But more annoyingly, I cant get the slice guides to show up in anything but white.
This makes the slice box numbers illegible.
WHERE do you change this preference?

How do I transfer my music from my mac mini running mountain lion to iPad 2. I have ICloud running, why are they not automatically pushed to the ipad2? Do I need to use ITunes? If so, how do I do it without deleting everything on the IPad2?

I have a new MacMini onto which I have installed music files. I want to transfer them to my IPad2 . I have ICloud working properly, or so I thought, so why are these files not appearing on my Ipad2? Do I need to use ITunes? If so, how do I sync without erasing what is already on the IPad? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the procedure for syncing music to the iPad.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
iCloud does not transfer the music on the Mac to the iPad unless you download it again on the iPad. iTunes Match may be what you are thinking of and you have to subscribe to that feature for a fee.
You have to sync the music that is already in your iTunes library to the iPad using iTunes. You can turn on Automatic Downloads on both devices for music and when you download music on one device it will download to the other device.
I get the feeling that you have never synced the iPad with iTunes before but you already have content on the iOad and are getting a message that the iPad will be erased if you sync with iTunes. If that is true, you need to transfer all iPad content into iTunes before you sync. This will help you with that.

Why are some 100% Accurate Rips not matched by iTunes Match?
Is there an Apple Support employee that can address this question?
The phenomenom occurs for over 500 of my tracks spread out among 100+ albums.
Certain tracks simply do not match to the iTunes library, despite being 100% Accurate bit-for-bit Rips. For reference, I use dBpoweramp for ripping, which checks CRC.
As an example, take Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" album; Tracks 2 and 5 will not Match to iTunes, despite perfect integrity in the ripping process.
Upon looking further into those particular tracks, I notice a discrepency between the "track length" reported on the iTunes store page, and my accurate rips for those tracks [track 2 & 5 on iTunes: 4:09 & 6:19, respectively; track 2 & 5 direct accurate rip from physical CD: 4:10 & 6:07, respectively].
So clearly, with track 5, there is a major discrepency, 12 seconds difference, which leads me to think the iTunes release of this album and retail release of the CD I physically own are quite different.
Well there, I guess I've solved the "reason" for the undesired functionality, but it certainly doesn't solve the issue at hand.
A major aspect of the iTunes Match product is To Match, so that, in part, bit-rate upgrades can take place, and also to provide management and format uniformity. I do realize that there is no guarantee iTunes has every album one could own, and entirely un-matched, and thereby Uploaded, Albums are a significant upside feature of iTunes Match; however, 1+ tracks on each of a significant quantity of albums, which iTunes carries, not matching to iTunes creates heterogeneous-format albums, and significantly more library management.
If there is a workaround for this issue it would significantly improve the user experience for iTunes Match. A user shouldn't have many hetereogeneous-format albums when iTunes carries/sells those albums, and the user has perfect quality rips from their physical CD.

Why are all paths in Clipping Masks and Compound Paths?

When I open up previous versions of Illustrator files (i.e. CS5), why are all of my paths messed up. Every object is embedded in a Clipping Mask, paths are compounded and in most cases type on a path is expanded into multiple non-editable objects. This causes complete redesign. This is terrible.

Because Illustrator accessed the PDF part of the file.

How were those files transferred to your computer? Are they on a server?
How old are they?
Which versions were they created in?
Did you already try to restart (the computer)?

Although both versions are available, I understand that the DWCC is the most recent version and CS6 will be faded out. I'm half way through CS6 and now see there are a lot of differences in the format of CC.

Jon has the best answer here, though nancy's absolutely correct. I have seen no instruction manuals for the Creative Cloud version of Dreamweaver.
Fact is, while there are differences, if you learn CS6, Creative Cloud won't be too much of a stretch. I would suggest that there are lots of differences between Dreamweaver MX (released 29 May 2002) and Creative Cloud (released this year). So, if you're looking at an old MX tutorial, it's probably a good idea to purchase a different book and tutorial.
Dreamweaver is, essentially, a code editor. This is absolutely crucial for you to understand. It's not like Adobe's InDesign, a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG page layout tool. The Worldwide Web is entirely based on HyperText Markup Language, which is in its 4th version, with a 5th proposed and on the cusp of being agreed to. Dreamweaver started supporting HTML5 with CS 5.5 (version 11.5).
So, if what you do is go out and buy books on HTML 4, XHTML and HTML5, you will be learning what is really required in Dreamweaver. As to the Dreamweaver interface, it's a bunch of panels that can, pretty much, be ignored. If you edit in Split View, you will see your web page as you build it (but it won't really be correct unless you switch to Live View, which does not update as you edit). And you still have to check everything out in a browser (two or three would actually be good).
So, do your tutorials on CS6 because they'll pretty much give you a good enough idea about how Dreameaver CC works, but learn HTML and CSS. Otherwise, you'll find yourself hopelessly lost.

t4 is null means it doesnot refer to any memeory address,hence how is method() called correctly.

You can do that because a) t4's type is "reference to inh6" and b) method() is declared static, which means that you don't need an object to call it, just the class. That class comes from the compile time type of t4. The fact that t4 is null at runtime is irrelevant.

With non-static, non-private, non-final methods, which implementation of the method gets called is determined at runtime, buy the class of the object on which it's being called. Why are double undo.Z files no hard links to save diskspace?

many undo.Z under /var/sadm/pkg files exist twice:
<pkg>/save/<patch id>/undo.Z and
<pkg>/save/pspool/<pkg>/save/<patch id>/undo.Z
Why are these files not hard linked? Is there a technical reason for that?
It would be nice to save some space in /var/sadm/pkg ...

Yes i have diskspace problems, /var slice was configured too small (1GB).
First i tried moving /var/sadm/pkg to a larger slice, made pkg a symlink.
That does not work, SUM means no patches have been installed.
Second try was to move completly /var/sadm to a larger slice.
This seems to work good with SUM.
But today i was wondering about that someone changed the symlink /var/sadm back
to a new directory and put only 'smc/...' into it.
Now i know who it was: i run 'smosservice add' to prepare a diskless client.
sadm/smc/smcreg was modified on the symlinked tree, after that /var/sadm was
switched back to a new directory. This makes /var/sadm completly useless,
e.g.: 'showrev -p' answers with 'opendir' :-)
Ok, if i changed something i should not think all will work, so i think about a new
installation with much more space for /var.

When I go back to edit the form why are my individual text boxes merging into one large text box?

I am currently trying to create a form fillable pdf and have never had problems until yesterday.
My individual text boxes are somehow conjoining into one large text box after I save my edits and go back to the form to make additional edits. This has never happened before and it is messing up the entire format of the form. Any guidance would be grealy appreciated.

Did you find a solution to your problem? I am experiencing the same thing. Only, the boxes will change. One time when I go in a single word on a line will be in the same box as a word above it. I created these text boxes in the pdf and did not import from another file. The next time I go into the file, the word will be back in its original box and other words will be combined in boxes. The last time I went in two entire lines that were two separate boxes are not one box. The boxes seem to merge completely randomly though the text they are enclosing are next to each other either side by side, or more frequently, above/below. This is quite a nuisance as I am still creating my form and when I want to move words or lines, I have to copy the text box and then delete the words I do not want in each box just so I can manipulate the content into the positions I want them.

Did you put any sound files there? Because if you didn't, that will explain why it's empty.
The ~/Library/Sounds folder is where any sound files that you add go, and they are only available to you as the "logged in" user (if you have other users with their own accounts, they each have their own ~/Library/Sounds folder). Apple doesn't put anything there.
The sounds that come with Mac OS X will either be in the /Library/Sounds folder (which is the shared location for all users) or the /System/Library/Sounds folder (don't mess around with anything in the /System folder!).
But I doubt your problem has anything to do with the sound files. Try deleting your sound preferences file, or even just clicking around in the Sound system preferences until they start working again (seriously - I had one Mac that had some audio problems after upgrading, and just turning things off and on a few times eventually worked. It seemed somehow tied to Dictation, so try twiddling those settings too).

Why are my albums out of order chronologically?

Ok so I have my library sorted Album by Artist/Year. This worked fine until just recently. I bought some Lady Gaga Remix EPs, and things are starting to get out of order now. However, everything is bought from the iTunes store, so I don't know why it would be messing up. Here is what the stuff looks like:

The bolded things are ones that are wrong. They are also the 3 most recent items of these that I bought.
I can understand (maybe) the mix-up of same-year things not being in order, but having a 2010 thing be after the 2011 stuff makes no sense. Especially when they all have the correct years and were bought from the iTunes store...
Any ideas? Also have a couple other albums with similar problems, but not bought from the iTunes store, so I attributed it to that.

You may want to make sure some of these albums are not checking the compilation
box under Get Info. That has screwed up my sorting in the past.

Why are my playlists empty?

Ok, bought a 5s. All of my music is on an ipad2, pc that all my devices were synced to is dead and gone, never resynced, just used the ipad2.
Had all the files on a HD. Transfered the files into new itunes install on new pc. Got all the music back in itunes. Restored the settings for my 5s from full icloud backup. Plugged it into pc with new itunes install, with all my music newly added. Did a full backup into itunes on the pc. Restored the phone from that backup to associate the 5s with this itunes. Synced my entire library of music onto my 5s (larger capacity than old phone, decided to put all the music on). Everything seems cool. No lost data, auto sign in apps all still working....
why are some of my playlist blank or incomplete?
all the songs are there. the playlists aren't in the new itunes install, but they are still on the phone. Why can't the phone see that the files in those playlists are right there?

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. If you have all the media then my scripts ImportDevicePlaylists and SyncStats may well let you recover some more useful information from the device without any other tools.
