Why are my slideshow images showing as low res?
I'm creating a site that will show a housing development in the works, and with each lot number that's clicked on the home page, the link goes to a page with a slideshow (My Albums) and when that is clicked you're taken to a new page with separate slideshow.
I've got two questions:
1. Why do the images show up as low res on the My Albums page, but are the preferred higher res on the slideshow page?
2. I'd like to just have a slideshow on the first page without having to click on the image to link to a whole other page for the slideshow. The confusing part is, while working in iWeb, the slideshow does exactly what I'd like it to do, but when published I get the ghastly low res images and I have to click on that to get to the "real" slideshow! Is there a setting I'm missing?
What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Do you have iWeb's preferences set to optimize images when imported?

To get rid of the album page and leave the photo pages just move the photo pages out of the album page.

In each individual slideshow, I uploaded separate images from separate folders. I am confused as to why one of the slideshows images keeps on appearing in all of the slideshows.

This can happen if you have copied the slideshow from one page to another and then tried to change the image, please check the image linked and relink them again.

Why are some jpg images scrambled when they appear in my screen saver? The same images look fine in Preview and Finder. Some images appear scrambled in the screen saver 'preview' window and the actual screen saver. Other jpg images look fine.
The desktop image is fine, taken from the exact same pool of jpg photos. However, as soon as the slide show screen saver comes on, the images are scrambled. What is it about the apple screen saver algorithm that scrambles the pics?

open messages. go to messages>preferences>accounts. select your icloud account from the left sidebar, and uncheck 'enable this account' then recheck 'enable this account'
you should also be using icloud to sync your contacts. sytem preferences>icloud. check the 'contacts' box -

No, this is not the case. I know where i purchased the movie and I also know movies cant be added to the cloud such as music, TV shows can. The instance happened during the dowload. I think that depending which computer is up and running and the bandwith allocated on either network, which ever computer that finishes first is the one that gets the movie. Just a thought. So next time I will ensure my IMAC is not running. I think that fixes it.

why are my duotone images turning black and white when put in indesign?
I have been playing duo and montotone images into indesing with no trouble. Then all of a sudden as I placew them they go black and whitre. I have tried everything from re saving, re making in photoshop and differant colours et5c. But nothing seems to wrok. The images already in my document arew fine it is just new ones. If someone could help that would be greatCan you start a new document and then load one of the duotones known to be good in the working file and have it correct? If so, try one of the duotones known to be bad in the working document in the new file. Does it work?
If no to either suggestion, can you share one of the images known to be good and one known to be bad? ZIP 'em up and upload to dropbox and plop a link here. Or, to keep the file sizes down, you can quickly make a new set and provide those.
As well, the ID version and OS info would probably be helpful.

Why are my Illustrator images getting thicker strokes when I take the bounding box and make them smaller? This has never happened to me. I'm not an expert at Illustrator, but I do know some fundamentals.

I am using a mac - OSX 10.7.5
I have Adobe Creative Suites - CS5 - Illustrator version is 15.0.2
The contents I am placing are all Vector - Illustrator files
But, I wonder about some of the vector files I work with. Could a "line weight/thickness" be 'assigned' to the drawing and screw things up? I used 'simple' linear (line) drawings from SolidWorks that have been converted to ai files. It's just weird because I checked the stroke of the drawing and it's not out of line.
I am attaching part of some box labels. You can see how the drawings, of the products, on the 'left side' are "thick" after embedding them. I think the "Global Logo" was pasted into a template not linked that's why it's okay. But look at the Quiet Thunder logo - it looks terrible. These labels are only 2.25" X 6.5", so its important I keep the images lightweight.

I am having the same problem with texts not appearing on my online text log and have also noticed a huge increase in data since my two sons have had their iPhone 5s. I have the iPhone 4. Two problems here
iPhone users DO appear. In the posted questions and response below, you indicate that if we are all using iPhones then we are not using the Verizon network but using data. HOW DO I STOP THIS DATA USAGE AND RETURN TO USING THE NETWORK? I can't afford the data charges that I am getting.. HELP!! and Thank you.

If you are all using iPhones, then it's likely the texts are going through iMessages and therefore use data. Since the texts are not using the Verizon network, but the app, they do not show up in the logs. The app is not specifically blocking the texted numbers from showing up, but the information comes through Verizon as data usage, not numbers texted.Sparkyjames81,
Lets figure out just where those texts are going! There are many apps that can be downloaded from the Play Store for Android phones that will allow messages to be sent over the internet, and therefore they are not actually text messages and will not show up in our records. Even Facebook has their own messaging app available that does this.
If you have an iPhone, they come with a service called iMessage that allows for messages to other Apple devices be sent via the internet, and this will also not show up on our records. These are all ways to bypass our actual texting services, and since these messages are not being sent as texts they do not show up on our records.

From that information, it makes sense that your calendar is off.
Phoenix is in another time zone part of the year. When daylight saving changed, Salt Lake City and Denver changed, but Phoenix did not. You may have set time and date to auto, but the Mac knows the time difference and is compensating for it. -

its because you guys are using the same Apple ID on both devices , when you use the same it connects to iCloud/iMessages so when ever you get a text on any other iPhone with there iMessages on its going to show on both devices because its the same apple ID that you are using for your iMessages , you can fix that buy gating a new apple ID for one of you ,ore go to your system preferences then go in to your iMessages remove your email from there make shore its only your number on there ,but the best why is to get another Apple ID.

Why are there numbers not showing up on my call and texts log when i look this up online at verizon? There is one number that my daughter texts and calls a lot i found from her phone log but not one time does it show when i look this up on the Verizon wireless call log??? We all have iphones is there an application or something that can block certain calls from showing up? However, wouldn't an iMessage show up different than a text? It looks just like every other text on her phone. We all have iphones in this house and they always show up as texts on the call log but this one number seems to be blocked somehow from showing up on the text log. And there are texts from weeks ago and it's from an actual number not computer or any weird/odd code and yet it never comes across on the text log when i look it up.
If you are correct and it's coming across as iMessage is there a way for me to block texts coming across this way so they all show up on the text log?
