Why are some web sites that i have been using for years now all the sudden changing themselves from Standards compliance mode to Quirks mode? How do I change them back to Standards compliance mode?
Like I will be checking on an account { page is fine} go to a different screen then go back.... This is the fun part. The page starts off normal then all the sudden it shrinks and moves to the right side of the page with out me touching anything. I have had this happen to me a few different times and could not seem to get the help I needed. I bring up another page, look at page info and it says Rendering mode - Standards compliance mode, but on the messed up page it says Quirks mode. How do I get it back to Standards compliance mode?
Good day ... As I leave California I am still very puzzled at how Yahoo can hijack my pages while on the internet ...? A friend of mine who lives here is also puzzled at how this is happening. I have taken screen grabs and would video it if that is possible ...? The screen grabs have the time taken on each grab, so one can see how fast this happens .. in a matter of seconds Yahoo jumps in with no relevance to my link I was trying to get to or the last hit or any thing stored in my history ... Is this possible ..? As I said I use a Macbook Pro 17", Os X 10.9.5, firefox 33.0.0 ..... Where is the fault ... Is my system compromised ..?
I am now in South Africa and the problem still exists ... Please see screen grabs that I took and uploaded before ... Please help as I like Firefox over Safari, and do not wish to change ....

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have been using Firefox for the past 5 years. I have regularly updated it and have had no problems, however today all of the sudden I receive a message stating "Sorry, you are trying to use Google Calendar with a browser that is not currently supported. Press okay to view a read only version of your calendar.Press cancel to continue loading and hope for the best!" I don't understand why all of the sudden this is happening. Yesterday it was supported. Please help me troubleshoot this.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

A book mark i have been using for years now will not open at all
i have used a bookmark for one site for many years,no other bookmark has done this,as i cannot open it at all.
when trying to open it i get a blank page and at the top next to the safari or firefox icon apperas the words forum spark 1x1 pixels.
in the tab underneath is the words active board.com/forum(and the address of the forum).
i have tried to search the address and put the address in manually but it keeps coming up with the same headline all the time.
unusual as it only does it with this one address.

The message seems to totally disappear. It is going to an AOL customer in UK. I changed their address to start with a lowercase letter & the message was returned to me by AOL as undeliverable, I then changed the first letter of the address beck to upper case, the same I have been using for years, but again it disappeared.

To repeat my question, Apple offered to install iCloud, and I allowed it. Yet when I try to sign in to iCloud using my Apple ID email and pswrd--an ID that I've been using for YEARS--I'm given the message, "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account." What is going on?
Everywhere I search on Apple's Support site says to sign in to iCloud using your "Apple ID," which I did. I've had my iTunes account for years (even migrated from the old AOL account system). It's the standard email+password that everyone is supposed to use.
My main question is how can I have a valid Apple ID and not an iCloud account--if the two are supposed to be linked?

tljI've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. Turned on computer email said I needed new account when I have been using for years (no mail, drafts, sent). I filled oyt new mail setup and it only found my mail not drafts and sent ... I use drafts to store documents and sent in a leser capacity - Ihave huge data in drafts. Tried to restore using time machine (never had to before). The backups are there but the restore button does not highlight??? So when you clickit nothing happens.

When something that used to work stops doing so, the most likely culprit is corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & then restart Pages. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:

Anyway here's what I did:
I'd wrote an email to Apple America, even if I'd purchased the item in Europe and the US support usually should not be involved in any European case.
They wrote me back that a European office will have call me in 48 hours.
After a couple of days I've received a call and a new iPod is coming from US...
Don't ask me if I can find any kind of logic behind it, but at least I can state that the US support has been decisive.

i plugged in my 18 month old iPhone to charge it, using the cable that came with it and that I have used regularly all along. I got a warning on my phone screen saying the cable is not certified and may not work properly with my iPhone. Why?
If you updated iPhone to iOS7, it now checks for real Apple Lightning Cable. Your cable may not be Apple, or someone swapped another cable with yours. Make sure the cable end is clean, take a clean dry toothbrush and carefully clean charging port on the iPhone.
