Why are the pod casts still on my iPod? iTunes said they aren't anymore?

I Have recently bought an iPod touch, 5 generation. I am having trouble with my simpsons epidodes and decided that i should delete them off my ipod and re download them. i connected to itunes, and synced it. Itunes now says that they have been taken off my ipod. So i looked at my ipod and the videos are still on there?!? why is this? i have fiddled around with it for around an hour now and i cant seem to remove them off my ipod. Please help.

To delete all podcasts go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Podcasts Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Podcasts
Next would be to restore the iPod

Here are the things you can do
Disable Auto-Brightness

The iPad has a great feature that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the ambient brightness at your location. It is on by default. When you are sat by the window or some other bright location the screen brightness increases to compensate, and vice-versa. This works really well but is not good for image editing when need some consistency so turn the feature off. Go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper and flick the slider.
Choose your location
The brightness of the ambient light where you are using your iPad makes a huge difference to the way the screen looks. If you are in a bright location the screen will look dim and the colours washed out no matter how high you turn the brightness up. Similarly if you are in a very dark place the screen is going to look very bright indeed, and even hurt your eyes – if you have every used your iPad in the dark with the lights out you will know what I mean! – it is not possible to turn the brightness down very far. So it comes as no surprise to be somewhere not too bright and not too dark and don’t have sunlight falling across the screen.
Set a specific brightness
The next thing is to set a suitable brightness manually so while you are in the Brightness & Wallpaper setting you can adjust the slider to set the brightness you need.. but how bright or dim should it be? You need to use a familiar image as a reference.

Why are the 8 apps installed on my iPod taking up 13G of space?! (The largest one is supposedly only 57mb)

So I have 8 apps installed on my iPod right now and for some reason after I deleted one very large app (I had 9 apps) the space used on my iPod actually increased??? The larges app that I've installed only takes up about 57mb of space so I'm very confused. Can anyone tell my why this might be happening and/or how I could fix this? Thank you very much!

Why are the 'artists' of podcasts cluttering my iPod

This is what's annoying me: when I browse the artists list, I have no desire having to scroll through Podcast artists. Their names also change from show to show by the same artists, which causes even more clutter. Strangely enough, my previous iPod (G4) did omit the podcaster's names from the artists list. Is there a setting like for that of 'compilation' for soundtracks?

Why are the Play, Previous, and Forward icons in iTunes unresponsive?

I have all the updates. Everything works if I use the keyboard controls, but when I try to mouse over and click, it isn't responding everytime.

Once I find the game i will truly screenshot that it states "not compatible for these models". I just find it RIDICULOUS that my iPod touch is in good condition and some of the applications that I want download sometimes are not compatible with my iPod touch 4g. Hi The next thing to do is to Restore back to Factory Settings this will get rid of any bugs . After Restore use same Apple ID /Password then you should get all your Apps & data back If you still have this problem make an Appointment at Apple Store . Cheers Brian

Why are the CAPTIONS displayed smack across everyone's face on the screen??? I need the captions to HEAR better but I still want to SEE the show. When the text is displayed across everyone's eyeballs it's very disruptive. And I want ONE BUTTON on my remote to turn captions on/off; from a user perspective it is unnecessary to go through the menu settings everytime. Take a stand and do something about improving CAPTIONS!!!

The CC text is on the bottom third of the screen. I don't understand the problem. *shrugs*
Actually when I first replied, I checked the CC on the channel I was on and it was in the 'face' position the OP complained about. Now checked here on recording of Sprint Cup qualifying and it's at the bottom. Looks like some are not in the bottom 1/3 of the screen.

You're right...some closer to the bottom, some closer to the top. I wonder if it's a network decision or just random.

Why is the LinkSys WET11 still expensive?

I'm needing to connect my 8 yr old daughter's CRT iMac to my wireless LinkSys router so I was going to go with the LinkSys WET11 route. I bought my router for about $40 after the rebates, why is the LinkSys WET11 still twice that? Cheapest I've found it is around $75, does that sound about right?

I can get the above adapter at my Best Buy for 19.99 after rebates, are these not worth it even for my daughter who only plays Flash games on her Barbie website a few hours a week? Her computer is about 20' away in the next room.

The install is really simple.
Set the device to "Client" with the switch on the bottom.
Plug the ethernet plug into the ethernet port on the iMac and the plug the USB cable into the USB port for power. If the port is not available, you can just use the supplied transformer.
Open your browser and Type "http://192.168.0.30" in the URL box unless the included instructions give you a different address to use. This will begin the communication between the device and the computer.
A login screen will appear. Type "admin" for the user name and leave the password blank. Press the enter key.
The home screen will appear and give you a lot of selections that may seem kind of scary. You really don't have to worry about them. Select the "Run Wizard" option.
The next screen shows you the steps that follow.
Select the "Next" option.
The next screen allows you to change the username and password for the device. Use your own judgement here if you want to make any changes.
Select "Next" from the bottom.
The next screen allows you to select the wireless network connection you want. I recommend you choose the "Site Survey" option and allow it to find your wireless system. Then select it and Select the "Next" option at the bottom.
The next page allows you to select encryption if you want to use it. Do what you want here. (I left the encryption off for my own reasons.) Then select "next"
The next screen tells you that the setup is completed and that you need to restart the device. Select "Restart"
The next screen will prompt you to close the wizard and will return you to the home screen.
Close your browser.
I am running OSX10.3 so I went to system preferences/network and made sure that the etherent showed it was connected. Voila!
Open your browser and you should be connected.
All of this assumes that there aren't unusual setups or preferences already set.

Why are the colors for my calendar in iCal reseting to a color I never chose? It won't stay blue when I choose that color and keeps changing to a custom lavendar color on its own.... Incredibly annoying...

There doesn't seem to be a one-size-fits-all answer, because what works for one printer doesn't necessarily work for another, and I don't have your printer so I can't advise on specifics...
However, perhaps we can discover a set of settings that will work...
If you File - Print, choose Photoshop Manages Colors, in the Printer Profile section do you see profiles specific to your printer (e.g., with the name Kodak in them)?
If so, choose one of them that seems appropriate given the paper you're using.
If not, try choosing sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Now, before you continue, press the [Print Settings...] button. This brings up the printer driver dialog. You may have to go through [Advanced] buttons or whatever, but what you're looking to do here is to disable the printer driver's color management logic. In other words, if you can find a color-management / ICC profile handling section, set it to "no color management" or equivalent. OK back out to Photoshop's print dialog, then press [Print].
The key here is that if Photoshop manages the color transforms, the printer driver should not be set to do so - or vice versa.
If you're presented with the printer driver's dialog again, double check that the settings you chose above are still set, for good measure, and try a test print.

Because you did it wrong? It's hard to know unless you tell us what you did.
What should work:
Select the photos you want to share
File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to the disk with the Finder.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Why are the threads start and terminate randomly?

Hi there,
I got the program below. I am wondering why are the threads start and terminate randomly? Everytime, I run the program, it produces different results.
I know that these four threads have got same normal priority (should be 5), and under windows there is something called timeslice. Then these four threads rotate using this timeslice. How do we know what exactly the timeslice is in seconds? If the timeslice is fix, then why the results are ramdom?

Why these four threads start and finish randomly each time I run the program? I use Windows, suppose there is a timeslice (i.e. 1 second), these threads have the same priority. Then the threads should start and finish in turn one by one. Am I right?
