Why are the songs in my itunes library playing at slow speeds?

Why are the songs in my library playing at slower speeds? They sound likean old casette player with rundown batteries?

What are your hardware specs?
OS, version of iTunes, etc....
Is this on a computer or iOS device?
iPods can change the playback speeds, but in iTunes on desktop/laptop, it could be caused by other programs.

  • Why all the songs on my iTunes library do not synchronize onto iPod?

There are about 200 songs on my iTunes library, but when I synchronize with my iPod, less than half of them end up on the portable device.

  • Why are Iclouds songs in my Itunes Library?

I started to noticed that there are songs in my library that I did not purchase.  When I go to view info the storage says Icloud.  These are classic music that appeared in my Library out of now where and I've not recieved any bill for them nor do they show up in my recent purchased tab.  When I delete them, it ask are you sure you want to delete this song from Icloud?  Where is this pulling from? Where do I go to view or find these so called songs that I never purchased.  I'm curious that maybe somebody has stolen my user name or something.
    Thanks.

It might be prudent to change your iTunes password and security questions.
You can create a smart playlist with all your undownloaded iCloud items like this:
This should make it easier to check for suspect items. You can turn on the column Purchased Date to show when items were purchased. Perhaps you can spot a pattern.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

  • Why are the songs downloaded from my computer grayed out and won't play?

Why are the songs that I downloaded from my pc not playing on my iphone and grayed out?

    Hi sweatt,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
You may find these steps helpful for resolving the issue you're encountering:
    iTunes Store: Troubleshooting iTunes Match
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4054
Songs containing DRM (Digital Rights Management) may not appear, or may appear grayed out in iCloud. This can occur if your computer is not authorized for playback of that content. Try authorizing your computer, then manually update iTunes Match.
To determine what Apple ID your computer needs to be authorized for, locate and select the song in your iTunes library.
    Choose File > Get Info.
In the Summary tab, locate the Account Name field in the right column and write it down.
    Click OK.
Choose Store > Authorize this Computer.
Type in the account name from the Summary field and its password. Click Authorize.
Choose Store > Update iTunes Match.
    Best,
    Jeremy

  • I have a few thousand songs in my itunes music library, when i connect my ipad that has only 50 songs on it will it overwrite the songs in my itunes library

I have a few thousand songs in my itunes music library, when i connect my ipad that has only 50 songs on it will it overwrite the songs in my itunes library

I had previously syncd the ipad and the songs on it, then loaded songs from an old ipod into the itunes account (using irip) and now the ipad songs that were in the itunes account are gone.  Can I change the auto sync settings before reconnecting the ipad again as to not lose the songs from my old ipod.

  • HT1660 Can I geotag the songs in my iTunes library?

I would like the ability to geotag the songs in my iTunes library -  essentially Places for iTunes. Is there currently any way to do this? Any plans for it? Once I thought of it, it seemed so obvious that I could not believe it was not already possible.
There are some music streaming utilities that do something similar for social networks, but I am not interested in that.

That usually indicates an incomplete download.  Did you try tapping the song to see if it would continue to download and play?  Also be sure you are either connected to wifi, or have Use Cellular Data turned on in Settings>iTunes & App Store so you can access it over your cellular data connection.

  • How can a consistent volume level be set for all the songs in an iTunes library?

The volume of the songs in my iTunes library varies significantly when played on my iPod.  Is there any way of setting a consistent/equal volume for the songs in my library so that I don't have to change the volume level when listening to my iPod?

I have used the $30 iVolume utility to equalize my iTunes song's volume for several years and it works well. I just wish it worked for music videos.  iVolume is available on the Mac  App Store, or you can try before you buy at the developer's site: http://www.mani.de/en/ivolume/index.html

  • HT1386 Is it possible to use the songs in my itunes library as a ringtone on my iphone 4? if so, how would i do that?

I have been trying to figure out if I can use the songs in my itunes library as ringtones but am having no luck. I downloaded an app that is supposed to make it possible but can't get that to work either. Does anyone know how to do this? Would appreciate any input. Thanks.

It is possible to create a ringtone with a designated 30 seconds or less section of a chosen song as long as the song or music was not purchased from the iTunes Store - or with music purchased from the iTunes Store that does not include DRM protection.

  • Why are the songs in my iphone playlists grey and I can't move them.

Why are the songs in my iPhone playlists grayed out.  I am unable to move and organize them.  I just downloaded some audio books from Audible and I cannot moved them to a playlist on my iPhone either.  What step am I missing?

So, if I haven't made any albums, I can't move pictures in the main window of the Organizer?
Yes, you can't. The default order in the main window is based on date, ascending or descending when you are in the standard 'thumbnail view'. If you are in 'folder' view, with your folders shown in the left panel, you are shown the pictures in alphabetical order of the file names.
    I haven't created albums yet.
I have so many pictures. I wanted to put all the pictures for each album next to each other so I can find them easily.
It's not difficult to create albums and 'drag' pictures in it. When an album is selected, you can move your pictures around in any order in the main window panel.
Albums are one way of grouping and ordering pictures. You should try to use keywords to organize and retrieve your pictures.

  • I lost my iPod Nano. Can I retrieve all of the songs in my itunes library, or just the ones I purchased from the store?

I lost my iPod Nano. Can I retrieve all of the songs in my iTunes library, or just the ones I bought through the iTunes store?

The "bar" at the bottom does not say anything about all of your songs being on the iPod.  It just shows you how much of its storage capacity is being used, based on what is on the iPod.
If you see "On This iPod," that means the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible.  This is easier to describe with the sidebar visible, so from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Select the iPod in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  There is a bar of buttons near the top, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This is the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music.  You can choose to sync Entire music library, if (?) your iTunes music library fits on the iPod.  With this setting, your entire iTunes music library syncs to the iPod, and new songs get synced automatically.  A 7th gen iPod nano is 16GB, so your iTunes music library would have to be less than 16GB (not counting non-music content on the iPod).  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Then, select (checkmark) the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres you want on the iPod from the lists below.  If you want newly added songs to sync to the iPod, they must be part of your selection.  For example, you can add them to a playlist that you have selected for syncing to the iPod.
When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.  Going forward, changes to your iTunes library (based on your settings on the iPod's Music screen) sync automatically to the iPod, the next time it is connected (or when you click Sync).

In Itunes store, song preview plays for only 5-10 seconds and then stops. Songs in my Itunes library play entirely from start to finish.

My Itunes previews have been playing fully now for the past few days. After trying every suggestion possible to fix the problem of 5-10 second previews, I took the advice on one feed to use OpenDNS for your network internet connection. There are internet sites that will instruct you how to do it. Just Google "opendns for (your operating system)". I have Windows XP and followed a video instruction at www.top-windows-tutorals.com/using-opendns.html. Afterward, close your browser and then flush the DNS Resolver cache; Start/Run, type CMD in the open field, click OK, in resulting window type ipconfig/flushdns, press return on keyboard. No guarantees, but my browser is faster and my Itunes previews are playing fully so far. But I still shudder every time I hit the preview button.
