Why are there different specifications and SKUs on the same model window air conditioner?

Hello, The Best Buy website has a Frigidaire Home Comfort 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White Model: FFRE1233Q1 SKU: 6060171. In the Specifications next to "Energy Star Certified" it says "No" and doesn't show the EER. The picture of the unit shows an Energy Star emblem in the upper, right of the unit.
The website also has a Frigidaire Home Comfort 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner - White Model: FFRE1233Q1 SKU: 8274079. It also states in the Specifications next to "Energy Star Certified": "No" yet shows the EER as 11.3. The picture of the unit also shows an Energy Star emblem in the upper, right of the unit. Both units are in the section "Best Buy/ Appliances/ Heating, Cooling & Air Quality/ Air Conditioners/ Window Air Conditioners/ Product Info".
The Frigidaire website shows a Frigidaire 12,000 BTU Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner FFRE1233Q1 and states Energy Star Certified": "Yes" and says the EER is 11.3. The picture they show looks to me like the same picture on both pages I've referenced on the Best Buy website and also shows an Energy Star emblem in the upper, right of the unit.
Can you possibly tell me what the difference is between the 2 units on the Best Buy website and the Model FFRE1233Q1 on the Frigidaire website? Thank you.

This is certainly bizarre! To my knowledge, it seems that these are the exact same unit, so there wouldn't be any differences. It is possible we were doing some modifications to the information on this unit, and ended up changing the SKU, causing 2 to exist, which may explain why you were able to see both on BestBuy.com at one point. Presently, it would seem the only SKU available on BestBuy.com would be SKU 8274079. 
In regards to the specifications, we receive all of the information from the vendor. With that said, I do see that this model appears to be Energy Star Certified according to Frigidaire's site, yet we do not have it listed as such. Please know that I am bringing this issue to the attention of the appropriate teams to have it reviewed, and any errors corrected. 
If I should be provided any alternate information in regards to the two SKUs, please know that I will update you right away! If you should have any questions, please let me know.

And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV?  Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search & purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung & HTC are already on too of them for innovation & ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?

    It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.
    You can try requesting that an item be added to the UK store via this page, but unless the rights-holder agrees to then Apple won't be able to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

    OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
    Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences  - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

The larger margin is always on the left. Can anyone please help me on this, as I have spent hours and lots of ink.

    Why are lyrics not viewable in itunes in the same way as on the ipod? In itunes all you get is "Get Info" then "Lyrics" and that screen then locks itunes until you close it. Inflexible, annoying and surely unnecessary?

    All songs need Album, Artist and title.
    Also, look under Artist -> Compilations.

    Yes, flash builder 4 was the name given to what is effectively flex 4.
    This answer is, essentially wrong.
    Flex 4 is a Software Development Kit (SDK) that includes a compiler, a user interface framework, and a few other items.
    Flash Builder 4 is an IDE that can be used to develop Flex applications.  Flash Builder 4 can also be used to code ActionScript w/o any dependencies to the Flex Framework.

    No, Creative suite 4 is a software library consisting of many different programs
    This answer is much more correct; but for additional clarification:
    Flash Builder 4 is an IDE that programmers can use to develop applications for the Flash Platform.
    Flash Professional CS4 is an IDE that Designers can use to create time-line based animations for the Flash Platform.
    One is geared for designers; and another for programmers.  In theory they can be used to reach the same end point although I wouldn't want to do application programming in Flash Professional; nor would I Want to do design stuff in Flash Builder.

    Adobe's attitude is not only incredibly insulting and ignorant, it is also short-sighted, particularly considering the top android handsets would actually allow their apps to be more flexible and powerful as they have more RAM at their disposal and the very popular Galaxy Note series would be a perfect device with its integral stylus. This is not acceptable and makes me reconsider staying with my CC subscription. I guess it is time to start looking for adobe alternatives or at the very least demand a discount in our subscription as we are unable to use a large chunk of the subscription portfolio.

    Thank you for your response -- It seems the "classic theme restorer" add-on is the problem. With that enabled I cannot move tabs. With it disabled I can. I've used that add-on for years without issue on Mac and PC. The PC is still fine, just the Mac is problematic since the FF update about a week ago.
    So I guess that's the answer unless anyone knows of some other trick or setting to change so FF is able to have tabs below the address bar AND be able to move tabs left to right within the same browser window!

  • Why are there different versions of Firefox 28.0 for Windows

    I have a desktop PC running Windows 7 and a laptop running Windows 8.1. I set them both up with Firefox, and they both have Firefox 28.0 installed at the moment.
    However, while the desktop version is a plain 28.0, the laptop declares itself to be 28.0 EU ballot. (yes, it probably was loaded via the browser choice facility in Windows).
    Is there any actual code difference between the versions, and if not, why confuse me by identifying them differently?
    The difference came to my attention while i was investing a problem with a mapping program on the UK's national government mapping services website, which runs fine on the desktop, but stalls while loading on the laptop. The Ordnance Survey say that they are working on fixing a problem introduced by Firefox 28.0, so I started looking at the differences between my two machines.

    Sorry, perhaps I was unclear. The OS have not, to my knowledge, published anything regarding the problem with Getamap - the information came in an email reply to a support call I raised when I encountered the hang. Here is the text of that reply.

    The latest update to Mozilla Firefox has effected users trying to access OS getamap. We are currently working on a solution to resolve the issue. Presently you should be able to access OS getamap with Internet Explorer.

  • My iDisk Storage says it's full on my Site Publishing page and won't let me publish but when I got to my account details page looking to buy more space it says I've only used 3MB out of 20GB. Why are they different? And why did it stop letting me publish?

    I've been publishing just fine for the past few days and all of the sudden, when I click 'Publish Site' now, the 'content rights' pop up shows up. But then it wants me to sign into MobileMe (to which I'm already signed in). When I click 'sign in' it takes me to System Preferences > MobileMe > Account. I click on iDisk and it says "20.4 GB total, 2.7 MB used, 20.4 GB available" 
    (I'm not sure why my GB available is still the same even though I've used 2.7 MB.... it wouldn't really matter though if I was able to publish.)
    I went back to iWeb to my Site Publishing Settings page and at the bottom there's a bar labeled 'iDisk Storage' and it's completely blue (meaning used).
    I also went to my MobileMe account to 'Summary' and under 'Mail and iDisk Storage' it says '3 MB of 20 GB used'.
    I'm assuming that it's not letting me publish because it thinks that I have run out of iDisk storage but I could be wrong. I just renewed my MobileMe account in Feb so I'm all payed up.. that shouldn't be the problem. Do you know of any other reasons why it won't let me publish?
    I feel like something is wacky with my iDisk Storage either way.
    I really hope all of this stuff makes sense. I'm fairly new to Mac and I'm still not sure about all of the lingo.

    Try the following:
    close iWeb.
    delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
    go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    reboot.
    launch iWeb and try again.
    If that doesn't help continue with:
    move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
    launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
    go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
    move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

    I am cleaning up my hard drive for 2013 and have disovered that my iTunes folder is the largest folder. Good for me.
    Within my itunes folder are both an iOS Applications folder and a Mobile Applications folder They both have recent Modifed Dates and there is some .ipa overlap in terms of applications and serial numbers, it seems like the older stuff is in the iOS Applications folder. I own both an iPad and iPhone but cannot seem to fathom any consistency as to which apps go where.
    Do I need both of these and if not is there an easy way to resolve the "problem"? (Assuming it really is a problem.)

    Interesting, I only have the Mobile Applications folder. If there are any applications that appear in the iOS folder but not in the mobile folder, you can move them over to the mobile folder, and then delete the other one.

    I am having some difficulties with setting up my new ipad, i have a different telecommunications carrier for my iphone to my ipad, however my appleID does not allow me to enter another mobile number for my ipad.   When i set up the ipad to my appleID, it automatically registered my iphone # as my contact for messaging.   Is there any way to change the messaging number for the iPad yet still use the same appleID?

    Yes. I use the same Apple ID on four different iDevices. You can sync the contacts with iCloud or with your computer and have them on both devices. You can sync all of the apps as well. If the apps are not in iTunes on your computer - you can download them to the iPad with the same Apple ID. You can also restore the iPad from a backup of the phone to transfer your settings, app data and your contacts.
    iPhone only apps will be half size on the iPad screen but will still work as long - you can enlarge the size of the apps - but they will be pixelated on the screen.

  • Why are there weird boxes around text in the Apple apps I use in mavericks?

    After I updated to Mavericks I noticed these weird grey boxes that appear around the text in some of the Apple-made apps I use lime Pages, Reminders, etc. Also, in a finder window, whenever some of my tabs are open, the tab's colour is different from that of the header of the window. I checked other people macs which has mavericks but none of them had the same problem. Here are a few images of my problems:

  • Why are my devices finding two networks with the same name in my house?

    I have Verizon FIOS (Actiontech router) connected with an ethernet cable to my Airport Express. Everything works beautifully through all three levels of my house...except... there are seemingly two networks in the house...a 192.X network (I think that is the Actiontech router), and a 10.X network (I think that must be the airport express)...
    Here is the problem...
    My devices (MACS, i-PADS, wireless printers) sometimes connect to the 192.X network (usually on channel 11) and sometimes they connect to the 10.X network (usually on channel 1). If the computers & i-PADS are not on the same network as the printers, then I can't print because the computer can't find the printer.
    With the printers, every time the power goes out it's a crapshoot to see which network they reconnect to...and I have not found a way to manually choose a network since both networks have the same name and password (and I think they have to be set up that way in order for the Airport Express to work properly with the Verizon router.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    OK, thanks. Did you see the message I posted right after your previous reply? I'm copying it here. Would choosing option two below, "join a wireless network" vs. "create a wireless network" be similar (or the same) as running in bridge mode?  Thanks.
    Tried a different MAC in my house using Lion instead of Mavericks and was able to open a version of Airport Utility. I couldn't find the tabs as in your picture; however, I did find a box that says, "This airport express is set up to create a wireless network." Three options are then listed as follows:
    1- create a wireless network (the one that is checked)
    2- join a wireless network
    3- disable wireless and connect to a computer or network using Ethernet
    If I choose option two above, would that solve the problem?
