Why are there more than one tabs open all the time and how do I change that? I just had to do a reinstall of Windows-tech installed the newest Firefox. There are always at least 2 tabs open and I get an error msg. when trying to close. Tammie

Can't Open more than One Internet Browser at a Time
I bought a Toshiba laptop this past spring which I use, offline, at the office. i've had a problem with it since the day I hooked it up to the internet the first time. I can't open more than one internet browser at a time. Windows 7. I had need to get online with it today and had forgotten about this problem.
I called Toshiba and they wanted to sign me up to some fee-based service. They said, without checking anything (or even asking me who I am, or what my computer serial number is) that I had a virus. Is there a virus going around that causes this problem? IF so, how could I possibly get it considering I bought this computer in a sealed box?
My AV software does not pick up any viruses. I use Avast.

That Windows key turns out to be useful, try Windows-D to show the desktop
To open a new browser window, Ctrl-n while in the browser will probably work, or it your browser supports tabs, try Ctrl-t -
Why won't data merge allow more than one data source at a time?
I need to number tickets, 8 up on a tabloid page, in InDesign (CS5)
I have found out how to use data merge, but it won't allow me to select more than one data source at a time, therefore, making me use 800 sheets of paper instead of 100. That's not acceptable!! Is there a way to merge the pdfs if I make 8 different ones in the places they need to be? Each file that I export will have 100 pages, so is there a way to merge the files to put all eight tickets on each sheet, sequentially? This is driving me nuts!!!!!!!Past users have solved this frustrating problem. You can find their solutions with a Google search like "InDesign data merge multiple sequential items on one page" without quotes.

I have a Plantronics 975 earpiece that works very well with my Razr. I
just got a Panasonic KX-TG7873S phone system for my home, it has a
"Link-to-Cell" cellular convergence solution, from what I understand it is
just Bluetooth enabled. I have paired both device with my Razr. In
settings, Bluetooth setting, both device show. But only one device can
connect at a time. If my Plantronics is connected and I choose the
Panasonic device, the Plantronics device disconnects and the Panasonic
device then says it is connected. Both devices work when they
are connected. Is it because they are both "headsets"?
So, to have to remember to connect to one or the other device, depending on
weather I am coming or going is not practical.

Printing more than one greeting card at a time?
Does anyone know whether iPhoto 6 lets you print more than one greetings card at a time to save on postage? The postage changes for one type of card if you order 10 or more copies so I was wondering whether you could order 9 different cards (ie with different designs and pictures) and only pay for one lot of postage?
I've had a quick look on the apple support page and in iPhoto help but haven't yet found anything that addresses this issue.

I have the same problem, they never told me that, just that the newest version of Java "locks" up streaming quotes.

I recently upgraded to Mac OS X. I haven't tried to access anything in iWorks 09 since the upgrade, until now. I get an error message when trying to open any of the iWorks 09 applications. What's the fix for this?
Follow Sonicray's advice and when you post try to give as much info about your Mac, your OS, etc... Fill out your Profile info.

Lightroom 6 is up and running. Upgraded from LR5. However I want to change the file name to be more generic, e.g., description in LR5 references LR5 and I want to change that to just John G's LR Catalog/Library.lrcat. How can I accomplish this without fouling everything up?
Ok, well you'll need to do something like this. Now this part is a little dependent on your database server:

Why do I get "generic error" message when trying to upload a self-created, 1hr .wmv file?
I went through the forums and made sure that any blocks or copywrites weren't triggered by the file, it's clean and can be opened using a media player and other video editing software like windows MovieMaker. I keep getting "The importer reported a generic error" message and have no idea how to proceed. Can someone please help?

This ARTICLE starts with a checklist on setting up a computer to run PrE best, then goes into a series of links for tuning up one's computer and OS, and then links on troubleshooting.
There is also a link on posting all necessary info, to help others help you.
Without knowing much more about your system, it is impossible to say much beyond that WMV's are tough assests to work with, requiring a lot of CPU horsepower.
