Hi all,
For xmas i asked for a itunes voucher because i wanted to buy "the ricky gervis show2 so i could watch it on my iphone at work as i do sleepover's. I went onto itunes the download and it was £22.99 for the series!!! its only a £10 on dvd ???? why is it priced so high on itunes??? feel like ive wasted a present on a friggin itunes card now as im no way payin £10 more just to have it on my phone

You would have to ask the makers of the show.
They decide what they charge.

Right now, you can only get movies and tv shows if you are in the U.S. or you have a bank account and address in the U.S. Or if you get a gift certificate that is from the U.S. you can access it that way. But if you use an out of the country bank, address or buy a non us gift certificate you are out of luck. What I mean by U.S. gift certificate is one that is purchased in the U.S. or over the net with a U.S. credit card drawn on a U.S. bank. Hope this helps, and sorry. I am an American as well and live in Mexico, and took me awhile to figure it out.

They can, but not at the same time.
If one user left iTunes running, and another user tries to use iTunes from a different Windows user ID, that second user will get an error message. If they really want to use iTunes, they either have to beg the first user to log in and close iTunes, or else they have to restart the computer.
If you are asking the technical reason why, it is something about context switching.

I probably "over-read" the Apple website hype about the advantages of creating a single personal Apple I.D. which would apply to practically all things Apple. To quote: "An Apple ID lets you personalize your Apple experience. Once you've created an Apple ID, you'll use it to access Apple resources where it's helpful to identify yourself. From Apple Discussions to iTunes to the Apple Online Store and everything in between, Apple ID is your passport to the extended Apple experience."
Hence, I created an "Apple ID," following the example "[email protected]" (Who wants to miss out on a "passport to the extended Apple experience.") However, I already had an ID (though it was not my Apple address), and apparently was already the benefactor of the benefits of the so-called "personal Apple ID." Consequently, I now have two different iTunes IDs and two different passwords. Apple has responded to my requests to have a single ID by saying that my request is for the impossible. I simply have to remember both IDs and both passwords, entering both when attempting to use different computers and devices while downloading and taking inventory of my iTunes files.
So I'm pretty sure I've followed your suggestions already with respect to all 3 "eligible" devices, but I'll certainly give it another go-round. From what you say, it appears that being "associated" with the cloud should not limit me only to an iPod Touch 4th generation.

you can adjust the row height byt selecting the separator between rows. It is possible you made this adjustment accidentally. To se the row height to be the same as other rows select a row that has the height you want:
Then open the table inspector. Look at the row height and note the value. Now select the row (s) you want to adjust, then change the "Row Height" value in the table inspector. To view the inspect select the menu item "View > Show Inspector"

For example the app Modern Combat 4 says it should only be 1.58 GB on the appstore but when i go into settings>general>usage it says it takes up 2.0 GB.
Ive tried deleting the apps and then reinstalling them but they still take up so much more space.
This happens for multiple apps of mine. Some I have never even opened before.
I have an ipod touch (4th Gen)(32GB).
I link to a mac computer.
I have IOS version 6.1.3

Because you see the file size of the compuressed file. The file gets expanded when installed and that takes up more space. Also, data is kept in the app.

Sorry about the delay in responding, I've been putting up with a very slow iDVD, but now I'm fed up with it again. My version of iDVD is 7.1.2 (1158) running in Mac OS X, version 10.6.8, with 3.2GHz and i3 processor, 4GB of memory, on a desktop iMac. My version of iMovie'11 is 9.0.4 (1634).
I can stop iDVD from showing iMovie EVENTS (now 3247 of them) in its Media pane under Movies, by moving the iMovie Events folder from the iMovie folder ( that iDVD ALWAYS looks in) to somewhere else in that Directory (where I store all my data, and which I have named "browning"). But then iMovie can't display the EVENTS, because it is looking in the wrong place. So, how can I save iMovie Events in another folder (not iMovies) but somewhere where iMovie will find them?
Is there a method to change the default folders for iMovie and/or iDVD? How does iMovie know where the iMovie default directory is?
Should I put iMovie into the "Main" Mackintosh HD directory?
The Apple Store in Bath, UK, couldn't help, but surely I'm not the only iDVD user who is annoyed with this process?

It might be a huge coincidence but the drive was working fine before i installed lion?

Installing Lion would not cause the superdrive to stop working. Are you unsure as to whether or no a cd/dvd is inside? Something may be broken inside and you should consider bringing it in for service.

Why are Newpl's being created in iTunes?

After purchasing Itunes Match, whenever I now load a CD, Itunes creates a bunch of playlist titled 'Newpl'. I loaded about 50 CDs and now have hundreds, maybe a thousand, playlists with this name. They have no content.
Why?
How to remove?
I tried deleting the iTunes Library.itl and then pointing Itunes to the library of music, but the playlist were recreated.

that is weird - have you checked that you are using the latest version of whatever IM software you are using? perhaps the problem is that something about the code that the app wraps around your messages in an older version can be compromised and or the zone alarms software is confused by yoru client software.

Why are songs that I purchased through itunes not able to be loaded to icloud?

I am having a ton of issues getting my library on both my home comuter and my laptop. I deleted my Icloud and then reloaded it with all the music from my home computer. My plan is to turn on Itunes match on my laptop and download all my songs. The problem I am having is that some of my songs are not eligable to upload to icloud??? I am not sure what that even means. Some of these song are some that i have purchased in just the last few months from itunes and now they are not eligable to upload to icloud. What am I supposed to do to get my music on both computers???

I do not undestand what you mean. iCloud is not the same as iTunes Match. The two services are separate and distinct and one does not require the other.
If you are trying to copy music files from one computer to another using iTunes Match is not the most effective way to do that. See this Apple KB article for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527.
Once you get the music copied over you can enable iTunes Match. It will scan the library and mirror it with what is in the cloud. As to the songs that are "ineligable" tell us what the exact status is for the tracks. Switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options and select iCloud Status, then close the small window. Post the status for the songs back here.

Why can't I use Paypal for iTunes in The Netherlands?

For some time now I have been trying to complete my account so I can finally make purchases from the iTunes store. Today I tried again hoping that there would finally be a payment option besides credit cards. I was delighted to see the paypal option. I went through all the steps but eventually got an error message saying that iTunes needs a US based paypal account. Turns out I was in the US iTunes store when I tried to create my account. When I switched to the Dutch store there was no paypal option, only credit cards. Why the H can't I use paypal in the Dutch iTunes store when US citizens can choose PP? And if the PP option is in the works for The Netherlands, when will it be available?

Sorry, but Paypal is not available as a purchase option in the Netherlands nor, to the best of my knowledge, anywhere other than the US. Why this is, no one here knows or can say.

They should be. If you have lost bookmarks try restarting Safari:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Safari.
5. Restart Safari and see if your Bookmarks are back.

TA24505 Why do d600 raw's look totally different than the jpg's that are imported together. When I select a raw, it looks as if it gets adjusted, but I can't figure out why...

When I import nef files from nikon D600, the pictures look good in the preview, but that's just because the preview is a jpg, generated by the camera. When I select the image, it looks like it is processing something and a totaly different (darker) images is presented in the preview window and the thumbnails. In the adjusment window no adjustments look active/selected.
Is the diference because Aperture cannot proces my Nef files the right way or are there some default adjustments selected in Aperture, somewhere that I'm not aware of? Maybe some default import setup...?
I use the latest updated version of Aperture, I'm new to aperture and understand the concept but am not familiar with all the tools.
Anyone?

I think this also answers my question:
Are you per chance using the in-camera setting for D-Lighting? If so, this is a Nikon proprietary use where the camera intentionally underexposes the image, then applies in-camera processing to bring it back to normal exposure that offers a slightly enhanced dynamic range. Unfortunately, Nikon does not share how this is done and it can only be rendered by their own software options.
Aperture, or any other third party RAW image processor, can't easily match these proprietary processes in any exact fashion ... they have to develop their own ... not just for one camera or one brand ... but all those they support ... even if they would try to match these in-camera settings ... the likelihood that they would satisfy more than a small batch of users is quite low ... tone and color results are purely subjective so finding a match that would please everyone is almost impossible.
This is why if you plan on using a third party RAW processor like Aperture, it is best to avoid using the in-camera processing settings. Rather you should create your own presets within Aperture to achieve your goals. In this instance, it is better to allow your chosen RAW processor to do the work, rather than the camera do the processing.
The reason you see the change in the image as Aperture loads it, you initially see the embedded jpeg preview from the NEF file. Then Aperture creates a new more accurate view based upon Aperture's RAW processing engine.
