WHy are unchanged files sync'd from my local to remote copy

I have created a website using DW CS4 (www.hollisterairshow.com) and most things are working fine. I create/ update pages on my PC and then sync the local and remote copy of the site. Even if I only changed one document DW often,but not always, gives me a long list of files to "Put", including files like pdf and jpg, which haven't changed since I first uploaded them. I know I can tell DW to ignore the suggested Put actions but I now have a lot of files on the site. Why is it suggesting I "Put" a new copy for a file that hasn't changed.
This is not a showstopper, but it's becoming very inconvenient as it can take 10+ minutes to upload the whole site - I'm a former FrontPage user (on a different website) and it did the same thing, uploading the whole site every time.

I also have this problem though it only seems to affect my iPod Nano (6th gen). It does not seem to affect my iPhone (though now as I type this, I better confirm that as I haven't manually managed podcasts on my iPhone since the last iTunes updates). Repairing permissions after an update or upgrade is harmless, but I would question the need to do it even there. The Apple update itself should set the correct Permissions. I still do this, really as a hangover from Tiger days -- not certain it was really ever needed there either -- and because it's a habit that's hard to kick, but it's never found anything to repair...but for one buggy exception, which was the 10.5.8 Combo update. Running it once and then repairing Permissions created a real error. It was discovered the Combo needed to be run twice back to back and then Permissions repair. In fact, one would have been better off not running Permissions for that update to begin with. There it wasn't harnless.

BTW, even Flash updates, which always used to set incorrect Permissions, are coming in clean these days.

My office computer has one set of bookmarks I use at work. My home PC has another, different set of bookmarks that I use at home. I don't use sync and am not signed into sync on either PC. Why are my bookmarks syncing between the two PCs? For instance, I noticed several bookmarks near the top of my bookmark menu above a separator line that I do not use at work. I deleted them. I get home and find those same bookmarks gone from my home PC. I don't want to sync anything between the two computers, why is this happening?

Perhaps an add-on is syncing these for you.

Disc Burner. Why are some files not readable or writeable?

I am trying to backup my friends computer files on a beige G3 (233 MHz). I am burning about 6 DVDs of AIF music files. Most of the files are about 30 - 40 Megs in size. Often I receive error messages on particular files that read:
"The operation cannot be completed because some data cannot be read or written.
(Error code - 36)"
Followed by the choices: "Stop" or "Continue".
I have a bad feeling that my startup disk is too small but I am not sure.
Most of the files work fine. However some of the files cause disc burner to not be able to use them in the disc image before I burn. Why would this be?
Here are the specifications:
Computer: beige G3 with two hard drives (one SCSI and one ATA hard drive) and a Pioneer DVR-110D DVD writer which is Apple supported (Apple system profiler indicates Apple supported on this DVD writer). My blank DVD disks are Sony Vermatim DVD-R (1 - 16x speed support). Although I think my beige G3 only writes them at about 2 or 4x.
I am using OS 10.1.5. My startup disk which has OS 10.1.5 in it is a 4 GIG SCSI disk. Is this big enough for a startup disk (for creating 4.5 GIG DVDs)? My files are on the second hard drive which is a 40 GIG ATA disk.
I have a bad feeling that my OSX startup drive is too small for disk burning - it is only 4 GIGs in total and OSX Disc burner (Disc copy) is first making a disk image on my startup volume before it burns it. Perhaps that disk image is too large for the startup volume. Is there any way I could ask OSX to put this disk image on the second larger hard drive instead (not the startup drive?).
Here is my process (I hope I am doing this right - I am new at this):
1. I first insert a blank DVD-R
2. A message pops up asking my if I would like to create a blank disc image for this disk (I think this is the typical Disk Copy utility window. I say "yes" and give it a name and choose the "DVD-R or DVD-RAM" option. (I am not sure if there are other important settings to choose here or better settings to use but I guessed the other options that seemed obvious. A blank disk image is created with an icon that looks like a DVD disk.
3. Then I drag my chosen files to this blank disc image. It takes about 30 minutes to copy over. Thats when I receive the error message that some files couldn't be "read or written". The other files work fine but it would be nice if they all worked.

4. Then I choose file/burn in the top menu and the DVD is created. This takes another 20 - 30 minutes. At the very end of the process another message pops up saying:
"Sorry the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code -28)" Followed by an "OK" button.
However all the files that made it onto the final DVD are fine - its just that its not all of the ones I originally chose in the first step when dragging to create the disk image.
Am I doing this the right way?

Is my 4 GIG startup disk too small for this? or are the music files possibly corrupt? or could there be some other possible problem?

To follow up, I have some good news. After following your advice Kappy, it now works very well Thanks! Instead of using the 4 GIG volume for the OS, I am now using an 8 GIG partition on an 80 GIG drive. So now the OS has some room to operate. No disk errors occured on my first DVD
Now there was one problem. The second DVD burned gave me an error. I am not sure why but I am going to guess that because I had to installed the OS onto an 8 GIG partition maybe the OS needs to be rebooted in between disk burns because although 8 GIGs is certainly greater than the 4 GIGs I gave it last time, it still isn't a lot of space - maybe just enough to do one DVD at a time. Thats only a guess. So I rebooted to see if that clears the system out ready for the next DVD and I am trying to burn the second DVD again. If I remember I will report back. In any case, yes, this seems to be working. I hope this second DVD burns well too.

Hi Drumsing,
As long as you have your iCloud account set up and signed in on both devices, and the Notes checke in iCloud on both devices, there is no reason they should not sync.
Try resetting both devices - Hold down the Hole and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold until the Silver Apple appears. Do that for both, then try Notes again.
P.S., after you write a note, you need to close the App on the device you wrote the note on before you open the app on the other device to see it.....

It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud. If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices. If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't. (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

Since your device is not recognized in iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Why are the apps I download from itunes .ipa files?

I understand that .ipa files are for jailbroken idevices, but when i download apps (all free so far), and i go to (eindows explorer) my music\itunes\itunes media\mobile apps, all the files are .ipa files.
Not me or anyone else in my family have had anything to do with jailbreaking or cydia. Is it the fact that they're all free apps?

That's not correct. All Apps are .ipa files.
An App for a jailbroken device may well be in .ipa format, but that's not relevant to you if you haven't jailbroken your device.
Someone writes an App for Apple iDevices. By definition, it's an .ipa file.
The App is submitted to Apple who effectively vet it for behaviour unacceptable to Apple.
If the App passes Apple's vetting, it gets into the Store and you can purchase it, either for a cost or for free
If the App is not passed by Apple - or not even submitted to Apple because the author knows it will not be accepted, it isn't in the Store.
Jailbreaking allows people to install Apps that Apple have not accepted into the Store. It doesn't seem to dawn on many people that the reason Apple may not have accepted an App may be because it will harm the iPod, make the iPod unreliable or compromise their security.
You have no need to worry. My additional comments about jailbreaking are to serve as a warning to anyone else who reads your thread in order to deter them from jailbreaking. Further reading can be found here;
