Why are videos sent from an iPhone 4 via texting so tiny?

They are about 1.5" by 1" which is ridiculously small. A friend of mine has an older LG slider phone that sends higher quality videos via texting.

Yea, the icons are small, then when you tap to watch it, it opens up to about 1.5" x 1" in size. Nowhere near full screen (maybe 1/4 of the screen)

iOS emoticons are Unicode characters that need a certain set of glyphs to be able to be displayed—think of it as a missing font not displaying correctly. If the device you send them to doesn't have the "font", it can't show it.
That's just the way it is.

When I added notes from the Iphone 4s they are not adding to the ipad 2 notes via icloud ?. I have now set the default note selection to the icloud but this shouldnt make a difference should it ? Am I missing something ?

The import setting is for CDs you already have or if you had WMA files and were converting them into iTunes. Downloads off the net are almost always in MP3 format and songs bought off iTunes are in the AAC format (A compressed format just like MP3). I wouldn't worry about it much. If there songs you bought on iTUnes, AAC is a very good sound format and (Far as I know) are just like CD quality

QT 7 Pro can rotate the orientation setting which can then be saved back to the original file. Thereafter, if the file is player in a QT player or app based on the QT player, the file will play correctly as rotated while non-QT based players not recognizing the changed rotation will play the same as the original file. However, be advised that rotating the orientation does not change a video taken in a portrait subject orientation to a landscape subject orientation—i.e., it merely rotates how the display is viewed. If you wish to transform a portrait subject view to a landscape subject view, you will have to crop & mask (only works for old tech players) or crop & re-compress the file (works with both old & new tech players) the source content. Therefore, it is always recommended that you record your content in the mode (portrait or landscape) you wish to use for final viewing and rotate the view only if required for the target player app.

Do a sync.
Then check the box.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Tap the Photos icon in the Dock at the bottom of of the screen.
If you don't see the photos there, tap Settings > iCloud
Turn Photo Stream off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on

I have this problem too, it's called "spoofing" aparently.
There isn't much you can do except change your email address which is a huge problem if like me you have an Apple one and can't change it without losing your whole iTunes and App purchase history which is a billiantly stupid bit of design on Apple's part.

Check under Settings > iCloud to see if the Contacts switch is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, switch it off for 30-60 seconds, then back on again. Your contacts should start showing up shortly.

This morning I woke up thinking that I should turn off my iPhone and then call it from a land line. If the problem is the network then there would be a delay before I heard ringing.
I turned my iPhone off and called it. Right away I heard my message.
I turned my iPhone back on and called it. It rang right away!
So, did Virgin Mobile fix the problem or did turning my iPhone off fix the problem?
I don't know, but I'll take either. I do know that Virgin Mobile said it would be four days to check the problem. Did the problem get fixed yesterday when the four business days were up. I do know that I've had my iPhone on for a long, long time. Did upgrading to 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 cause the problem and turning my iPhone off reset my iPhone?

P.S. I did call Virgin Mobile and its records show the investigation is still open. I hope my points get passed on to the investigators.
