Why aren't my emails going through to hotmail users

I am having alot of trouble trying to send emails to hotmail accounts.  In addition, I periodically have trouble with other accounts.  It is really hit or miss.  Any suggestions?  I have downloaded the latest updates.

It's probably quite simple, and nothing to do with your Address Book group.
It is a matter of 'junk mail' or 'spam' filtering on the recipient end, I think.
1. Apparently not everyone in your Address Book group (12 of 15 apparently?) has your current email address among their 'permitted email addresses', so, your original email message ends up in their 'junk mail' or 'spam filter' or whatever it is called by their email provider. Some businesses and schools also filter incoming messages for subject, language, content, or by sender's address (one company I dealt with prohibited all incoming email from Hotmail, for example), so it could be filtered at that level. In that case, the recipient might have to specifically ask the IT department to add your email address to a 'permitted' list.
2. When someone else in the group hits 'reply all', THEIR email address IS among the 'permitted email addresses' for everyone else, and they are in effect 'forwarding' your message from their email address, so the filtering affecting your email address does not affect their re-sending of your message.

  • Why phone media flow is going through CUCM?

    I have a setup like this:
    Phone 1 .....<SCCP>........CUCM cluster 1.......<H225>.........Gatekeeper 1.......<H225>.......CUCM cluster 2 .....<SIP>......SIP gateway (CUBE)...........SIP conferencing
    It is found that the Phone1 media flow is going like this:
    Phone 1.......one server in CUCM cluster 2......SiP gateway
    I have a wireshark connect to Phone 1,  and I found the media flow is going through a call manager. Why and how come?
    I guess it's because MTP, but I didn't enable "MTP requried" in the H225 trunk and SIP trunk.  In the device pool of the related trunk, no MRGL is configured.  Also G.711 uLaw is used in both cluster.

    MTP Required forces an MTP to be allocated for all calls. Not checking it guarantees nothing; CUCM may still invoke an MTP if needed, such as DTMF interop (e.g. H.245 alphanumeric to RFC2833), H.323 Fast Start or SIP Early Offer. It's more than just the audio codec.
    As for the lack of an MRGL: resources not assigned to at least one MRG are available system-wide.

    Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
    Try deleting and re-adding the email account (Settings App > Mail,Contacts,Calendars)

    I am attempting to reset a password on an Apple ID.  It appears the system is not sending the reset email.  I look through the support community and find that it can take 24 to 48 hours for the email to arrive.  We pay a fortune for an apple product and this is the support we get?  Even Microsoft knows how to send instant emails.  Why is this the norm?

    I'm not aware that emails take 24 to 48 hours to send out, so far as I'm aware they are immediate.

    If you are not using the apple camera app to take the pictures, then they are going into whichever app (like Camera+) took the photos.  You'd have to use that app to copy them to the photo app.

    i sometimes receive Viber text messages while my phone is in power saving mode.  A notification will appear on the locked screen; however, whe unlock the screen and visit the Viber app, the new text message does not appear.  Sometimes the screen within the Viber app just goes black too.  Anyone have any suggestions or help?

    Ibooks are for ipod touch/iphone/ipad, not your computer.

    Is there a setting that I have to program on my mini ipad so when I delete an email on my iPhone it automatically deletes it from my mini ipad?

    If you have an IMAP email account the actions should be synchronized across all devices, phone iPad and computer.
    If you have a POP account try Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Your email account>Advanced>Delete from Server>When removed from inbox.

    Whenever I send an email in English from my BB Curve 8330 to my brother's hotmail account it shows up on his end in Japanese.  This does not happen when I email other hotmail accounts.  Has anyone ever experienced this problem and know how to fix it?  Thanks!

  • Why aren't my emails downloading to my iPhone 5s?

    I recently added my company email account to the email section of my iPhone 5S and i set it to push so I constantly receive my emails.  Then I checked my emails on my computer and noticed that some were not on my iPhone.
    I already tried deleting and adding the account and still isn't working.
    Please help!!!

    Yes, all the details are correct.  I'm using pop.  The emails do come in to my iPhone sporadically but not all the time.  I tried turning off the push and set it to manual to check every 15 minutes then I sent me a test email, did a manual fetch and didn't receive the email on the iPhone.
      This is sooooo annoying!!! What else can I try?

  • Why aren't my "File Types" accessible to all users? TS Win2k8R2

    I am an Admin on a Windows 2008 R2 server, with Terminal Services installed.
    I want to have particular file associations created / active, so that any user who attempts to open particular files on this server users certain applications. I opened Control Panel, went to Default Programs, carefully added or made sure the file types
    were associated as I wished. I clicked my test files and they indeed opened as I expected.
    I logged out, logged in as a test admin user (who had never logged into this server, had no user profile), expecting that the SAME test files would open as I had specified as my Admin user. This did not happen. Indeed, I was asked to associate them again
    (I did not do it). I went to control panel, checked default programs / file type associations ... and NONE of my carefully created file types were there.
    What am I doing wrong? I need to solve this (and another user-setting issue) ASAP.

    When you create a file association via the user interface you are creating a Per User association for your account.  To create global associations you would need to make the appropriate changes manually to the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (or find
    utility that does it) and/or use group policy preferences or similar technique to deploy registry settings to each user. The registry settings will in effect create Per User associations for each user.

  • Email becomes unreadible after going through Cisco email gateway

    Hi all,
    I have an issue with one sender who is trying to email password protected attachments to other staff in our organization.
    The issue seems to only occur when the email goes through our C370, if he sends to an externally hosted email account the email and attachment can be opened, and when that email is then sent as an attachment back into our organization it is also openable, which seems to rule out our clients.
