Why aren't my links showing up in Illustrator CS6?

I'm using AI CS6 at work and when I place files, they don't show up in the links window and changing the original file does not affect the placed image. Help please!

When you Place a file make sure the Link box at the lower left of the dialog is checked. A way to check if the files are linked or embedded is to open th Document info panel and from the flyout select Linked images or embedded images.

Only creative cloud subscribers get the new features. If you were a Cloud subscriber your version would be 16.4.0 not 16.0.4.

Why does the form link show up in 2 pages, but when I save the form as PDF it comes up as 3 pages?

A few weeks ago, I asked the above question on why the form link shows up in 2 pages, but when the form is saved as PDF it comes up as 3 pages.
The answer I received was that I can simply select the page break and hit "delete" button or click on the trash can icon at the top right corner.
I tried to do this but, there is NO OPTION to select the page break and hit delete….
I want to combine the page on my PDF because the header takes up one entire page.
How can I do this? Can someone please help or walk me through this live?

Why are there no links showing?

We had a booklet made and the company that made it used InDesign. We received a copy of it and everything that we had printed was perfect. There are two different files in the packet. One is for the inside of the booklet and the other is for the cover. When I open the inside file, everything is fine and I can go threw it page by page. All of the images, text photographs... show and it's a normal InDesign file.
Before I go any further, both the fonts file and the links file are in the main folder and all of the links connect for both the cover and the inside.
Here is where the problem is. When I open the cover, all I see is an outline of the cover. None of the photographs, text, images... show, but all of the links connect, or so it says. One thing that is different is that when I click on one of the images that is supposed to be there, the frame will appear and the link on the side panel lights up, but all that's actually seen is a green frame for the link and nothing else.
How can I have a view where all of the links show and I see what should print out? When I try to print it out, all that prints is the outline of where the paper needs to be cut for the cover.
I'm trying to figure this out and have tried saving it as a PDF and the same happens, all that shows in the PDF is the outline of where it's to be cut.
Below is an image of what shows in InDesign and a PDF/jpeg of what saves as a PDF.
Can someone please fill me in on how this is setup and how I can make a PDF of the actual sheet?
PS - The cover only has one page, there is no second side.

They're brochures and that is the cover. Here is what it looks like without the cover.
The printer cuts, glues and combines this cover page with the inside pages. All printer. Not ours, but we have them printed by the 10k.

Installed system Font does not show up in Illustrator CS6

I have Installed the Creative Suite 6 with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator under Windows 7 Professional 32bit.
A customer specific font has been installed in Windows and shows up in Notepad, Microsoft Office 2010 and other programs including Photoshop CS6. For InDesign I had to copy it to the "Programdirectory"\Fonts folder and this worked fine.
Only Illustrator CS6 doesn't show this Font (a TrueType font "cust.ttf") as available when I want to format a text with it.
I've searched Google and Adobe but no luck so far.
Based on other articles I also renamed the "IllustratorFonts.lst file - but also to no avail...
Could someone shed some light on this, please?

So what you are implying is that Windows 7 (including Notepad and other SW), Office 2010, Photoshop CS6 and InDesign do not care about what you described regarding font families, grouping and the like but only Illustrator does?
Regarding your question about the properties of the "customer specific font" I'd have to get details. Would you know where to find this either in the .TTF files or via a tool that can read this info (apart from getting the properties by right-clicking and going to the "Details"-page?

Why aren't synced photos showing up on Camera Roll?

I had some photos on my iPhoto (on MacBook Air) that I wanted to have on my iPhone 5.
I synced the photos, I checked my Camera roll but they weren't there, so I checked the Photos tab (moments/collections) and they were there.
Then why arent the photos showing up on my Camera Roll?

The Camera Roll album shows all photos saved to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and it organizes your photos by the date they were added to your device. This includes all photos taken by your device or saved to your device through a Camera Connection Kit. It doesn't include photos synced to the device from iTunes.

Hi,
My phone was stolen in Budapest when travelling, so i tried to track it with 'find my phone' and nothing happened as it said it was offline. Does this mean that it was because the phone was turned off, sim taken out, or no internet connection?
My next question is that my photo stream didnt show up on my iCloud account when I checked online. I wanted to see if my holiday photos were uploaded but there wasnt an option for photos, only calendar, contacts etc...I am worried that I have lost all my photos.
If anyone could give some answers it would be appreciated.

HT204150 Why aren't my contacts showing up on iCloud from my phone?

So, I am attempting to use the icloud feature to create groups. However, when I go on my icloud contacts, none of my contacts show up from my phone! My accounts are linked, etc etc. How do I get them to show up? The only thing that shows up is my name.
One odd thing that happened when I did the iphone ios version 5 update is all my contacts were erased. That really ticked me off. So what is it that apple and I cannot seem to work through? Is this a technical problem?
Update: starting to realize that I am adding all my contacts to the "on my iphone" list. So is there any way to quickly transer the on my iphone contact group to my icloud group so i can make more groups?

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and tap Default Account in the Contacts section. Here, select iCloud as the default so new conacts are created in your iCloud account in the future (rather than in On My iPhone).
Then go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, when prompted choose Delete from My iPhone. This will delete the iCloud contacts from your phone but not from iCloud. They will be synced back later.
Next, download the app My Contacts Backup. Use the app to back up the contacts on your phone (from the On My iPhone account) as an attachment to an email. Send this email to yourself.
Go back to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On. This will sync your iCloud contacts back to your phone.
Open the email you sent earlier and tap the attachment to add the contacts to your phone. They will be imported to your iCloud account as you set this as your default earlier.
Finally, to avoid seeing duplicates of your On My iPhone contacts, open your contacts and tap Groups. You can either tap the On My iPhone group until it's unchecked and tap Done (which will hide these from view); or, you can tap the other groups until On My iPhone is the only one checked and tap Done, then go through these contacts and delete them from your phone. When finished, recheck the other Groups and tap Done.

Why aren't my notifications showing up on the top right corner or in the notifications sliding tab?

I just have a quick question > I just upgraded to ML but I cannot get one single notification to display on my screen.
I checked every single option within system preferences, it says for every application 'banner/banner, sound, alert' under the 'notification' tab but alas, I have yet to see one popping on my screen. I tried with Mail and Messages - I see the number by the actual icon, but nothing on the screen or even in the notification center tab on the right.
When I check notification center itself, the switch is on 'ON'.
Any idea? Am I the only one out there with the issue?

Why aren't my contacts showing up in text messages or the call list?

I sync my iphone only with my exchange contacts. It was workng fine until yesterday. My contacts list show up in the contacts app with the correct names, but the text messages and missed calls/voicemail list only shows numbers... not showing contact name. What can I do?

I am having the same issue and it all started after the update I downloaded last night. I have tried calling *288 VRZ support option and afterwars performed a soft boot with no fix. The +1 for USA option is not one I can even imagine doing with over 2000 contacts... There has got to be an easier solution...???

Why aren't address fields showing for my contacts

I have a couple of contacts with info in fields but the fields are not displayed when I look at them in address book. It is only happening on a couple of my contacts.

There is a Show All section in Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS devices, and includes Music and Videos. Turning on music here will cause previously purchased music that is not stored on your device to appear in your song list with iCloud download symbos so you can tap to download them.
To download previous purchases from within the iTunes store app on your iPhone, tap More>Purchased>Music>Not on This iPhone. Is that where you're looking?

Why aren't my apps showing up in CC desktop?

Every since I download the Cloud months ago this has been a problem with my home computer which is running on Windows 8. I can still get my files, fonts, etc. but no apps and every time I call customer service after 20 minutes of going back and forth they try and connect me with technical person I get disconnected. I have unitstalled CC desktop and reinstalled but still get same issue. I do not have this problem at work which runs on Windows 7. I have a team membership and my IT department says they have no reason why this should happen but since it's my home computer they can't do anything about it. I tried to update CC desktop to fix the update for Windows 8.1 but can't download or update it. My other programs in the Cloud work fine although I have tried download Adobe Acrobat from the website and it doesn't download.

Why aren't my fonts showing up in Photoshop (or any Adobe app)?

I just clean rebooted my iMac and after adding all of my fonts, a large number of them, back to Font Book, Photoshop is not recognizing that any are there. Myriad Pro isn't even in the list. All the fonts are active and valid within Font Book, but it is also worth mentioning that Font Book sort of freezes up after it is open for a minute. It doesn't technically become "Not Responding" but I do have to force quit. Any ideas on what's going on? I clean the hard drive and reinstalled everything because of another problem I couldn't fix with Photoshop, now this. I haven't customized preference in the least, just trying to get things back to normal, but I can't even work without these fonts showing up. Thanks.

Why aren't all photos showing up under "Photos" in iPhoto?

Hi
I have noticed that not all photos show up when I have "Photos" selected in the Library on the left. There are photos I just imported from my iPhone and they show up when I select "Last import" or "Last 12 months" but not unter "Photos". Any ideas what is wrong here and how to fix this?
(btw. I have no hidden photos)

I am running the latest iPhoto and OS X

If the Photos are under 'Last Import' or 'Last N Months' then they are in the Library somewhere, just not where you are expecting them to be. We know this as both Lat Import and 'Last N Months' are not places, just listings of elements in the the Library.
The two most common reasons that they can't be found is either an incorrect date on the camera or the Sorting (View Menu -> Sort Photos - or Sort Events, as appropriate) has changed.
Quick route to find them: Right-click on one of the images in Last Import and select 'Show Event'. This will bring you to the image in the Library.

Why won't the link show up to change my Apple ID security questions?

Don't understand this at all! Logged onto my Apple ID and it made me type in all of my security questions (which I forgot). So I followed the instructions and went to the security questions section of Manage my Account and there is supposed to be a link where you can send an email to your Apple ID email, but there was no link. I first went back to the instructions to see what I could do, but there was no information on it! I have been on the website and it keeps bringing me back to where I started and I still have not figured it out. Please help! Thanks guys.
