Why aren't my photos in an alfabetical order?

The photos that I sync from my Windows computer are in an alfabetical order on this computer. When I sync this Photos to my ipad, the are not always in an alfabetical order ( I sync complete maps). How can I avoid that the photos aren't in an alfabetical order on my ipad?

On iOS 5 they are sorted by their 'date modified' field : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4221
So to get them into a alphabetical order you will need to change their modify dates prior to syncing. Or there are third-party photo management apps such as Photo Manager Pro which allow you to change their order within them, including by name

  • Why aren't my photo albums in alpha order on AppleTV?

I have AppleTV 1. When I scan my iPhoto albums to select one to play a slideshow, the albums are not in the alphabetical order as in iPhoto. And, AppleTV shows some "albums" that are actually not albums at all - they are individual photos. Can anyone explain this? How can I get AppleTV to show all of my albums in alpha order?

I couldn't answer that with any guarantee, I don't share events with my Apple TVs. If as may be the case events aren't able to be listed in the same ways as albums, you might consider using Albums instead of events. I use them out of preference as they allow me to do a number of things that events don't, such as missing out photos or using the same photo in more than one album.

  • Why aren't my photos going straight to my photo folder on iPhone 5

Can anyone please tell me why when I take a photo on my iPhone 5 I can see it in my folder on the camera but when I come out and go into photos from my home screen they aren't there? Thanks in advance.

If you are not using the apple camera app to take the pictures, then they are going into whichever app (like Camera+) took the photos.  You'd have to use that app to copy them to the photo app.

  • Why aren't my photos showing on iCloud?

    Hi,
My phone was stolen in Budapest when travelling, so i tried to track it with 'find my phone' and nothing happened as it said it was offline. Does this mean that it was because the phone was turned off, sim taken out, or no internet connection?
My next question is that my photo stream didnt show up on my iCloud account when I checked online. I wanted to see if my holiday photos were uploaded but there wasnt an option for photos, only calendar, contacts etc...I am worried that I have lost all my photos.
If anyone could give some answers it would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

You aren't supposed to be able to see your photos at iCloud.com.

  • Why aren't my photos shown in my cloud?  My photo stream is ON.

When I log into my Icloud account, my photos are not shown.  My contacts, mail, notes, etc are there.  My photo stream on my Iphone (my only Apple device) is turned ON.  Can you tell my why my photos are not shown in my cloud when I have them set to be saved in my cloud by having on my photo stream.

You can't see photo stream photos on icloud.com, you can only see them on an iOS device or computer that is signed into your account with photo stream enabled.  If you want to see your photos on the web, you'll have to create a shared stream with the public website option enabled (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  This will give you a private url to view them from a computer browser.  You can invite others to view them as well as subscribing to the shared stream yourself.

  • Why aren't my photos from my photostream automatically to my WIN 7 system on my laptop.  icloud control panel is installed.

I have an iphone 5 and my photos from my photstream aren't automatically transferring to my laptop-which is a WIN 7 OS.  icloud control panel installed on laptop.

I don't know what operating system you are using on your PC, but it works fine with windows 7.  Try this, click the start button and key in icloud [In search program and files ], you should come to your Icloud folder , where you see mail with outlook, contacts with outlook, calendar & tasks with outlook , bookmarks  with Internet explorer, photo stream, if you have clicked yes on the box in front of all the above said (in our case Photo stream) your photos will be automatically uploaded and downloaded.  The pictures if stored in the photos folder gets  uploaded from :
C:\Users\xxxxx(your computer name)\pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads.   YOU can see this if you click on the options button on the icloud  next to photo steam as mentioned above.

  • Why aren't synced photos showing up on Camera Roll?

I had some photos on my iPhoto (on MacBook Air) that I wanted to have on my iPhone 5.
I synced the photos, I checked my Camera roll but they weren't there, so I checked the Photos tab (moments/collections) and they were there.
Then why arent the photos showing up on my Camera Roll?

As Japib says: See this link:   Get help finding your Photos in iOS 8
What's in the Camera Roll and My Photo Stream album?
If you don't have iCloud Photo Library beta enabled, you'll have Camera Roll and My Photo Stream albums in iOS 8.1 or later. The Camera Roll album shows all photos saved to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and it organizes your photos by the date they were added to your device. This includes all photos taken by your device or saved to your device through a Camera Connection Kit. It doesn't include photos synced to the device from iTunes.

  • Why aren't my photo stream pictures syncing to iPhoto once I moved it onto an External Hard Drive?

I recently moved my iPhoto library to an EHD, and everything has been working great.
I just went in, however, and my August 2014 photo stream, which syncs from my iPhone, only has one picture from each day/set of photos I have taken.
It is extremely odd - only the first photo from a vacation I went on, the event I went to last night, the meal I photographed on Tuesday are showing up.
If anyone can please help, I'd appreciate it!

  • HT4906 I have upgraded to mountain lion - why aren't my photos transferred from Iphone automatically

    automatically from iphone?

First you must meet the necessary system requirements on both your Mac and Mobile device:
    iCloud: System requirements
    Mac
OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later
iTunes 11 or later (for iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match)
iPhoto ’11 version 9.4 or later or Aperture 3.4 or later (for Photo Stream)
Safari 6 or later (for iCloud.com, Bookmarks, and iCloud Tabs), Firefox 16 or later or Chrome 23 or later (for iCloud.com)
iWork '09: Pages 4.3 or later, Number 2.3 or later, and Keynote 5.3 or later (for purchase from the Mac App Store)
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
    iOS 6 or later
Next you need to setup iCloud on both devices by logging in to the same iCloud account and then enabling Photo Sharing as follows:
    On your Mac:
    On your iPhone, iPad:
    And in iPhoto:
That should automatically import all of the photos taken on your mobile device into your iPhoto Library on your Mac.

  • HT201317 why aren't my photos transfered from my phone to my desktop

I followed the instructions on setting up ICloud on my device and PC, transfering from my photostream to my PC is not occurring. Any suggestions? Phone is locked, WIFI connected, and ICloud is logged on with my PC...no transfer is occurring..?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Why aren't new photos I take showing up in new Photos for Mac? (They are in iCloud photo library)

all software up to date.  did iPhoto to iCloud photo library transfer move and activated it both on phone and laptop.  (was in beta on phone even from weeks ago)
only way to get photos on the laptop is to plug in usb and snyc manually.  i assume it's suppose to just be able to sync wirelessly just like  iPhoto did with photo stream?  at least from all I've read it will do that and a lot more.  thanks.

Sorry no answers here but the exact same problem. New to MAC as well and the guys at the store told me the MAC should be seeing it no problem. Sorry you are having the issue but glad I am not the only one. If I find a solution somewhere else I will try to post it here for you.

  • Why aren't all photos showing up under "Photos" in iPhoto?

    Hi
I have noticed that not all photos show up when I have "Photos" selected in the Library on the left. There are photos I just imported from my iPhone and they show up when I select "Last import" or "Last 12 months" but not unter "Photos". Any ideas what is wrong here and how to fix this?
(btw. I have no hidden photos)
    Kind regards
    Sebastian
I am running the latest iPhoto and OS X

If the Photos are under 'Last Import' or 'Last N Months' then they are in the Library somewhere, just not where you are expecting them to be. We know this as both Lat Import and 'Last N Months' are not places, just listings of elements in the the Library.
The two most common reasons that they can't be found is either an incorrect date on the camera or the Sorting (View Menu -> Sort Photos - or Sort Events, as appropriate) has changed.
Quick route to find them: Right-click on one of the images in Last Import and select 'Show Event'. This will bring you to the image in the Library.

  • Why aren't Mac Photos pictures appearing in iCloud - and on the iPad?

I'm helping a friend with his MacBook running 10.3.3 and iPad with iOS 8.3
The iCloud Photos option is on on both devices, but he hasn't seen any photos from his Mac on his iPad yet.
If we login to icloud.com he can seem some photos, but they all appear to be ones he took with is iPad - none from his Mac.
According to the docs it should "just work" if the settings are turned on on both devices.
    What else can we try?
Also, is there any way of knowing ahead of time how much iCloud storage will be required? My best guess is that it will be about 10 GB and so he will need the 20 GB storage option, but he has not been prompted for a storage upgrade yet.
    Thanks,
    doug

Pretty sure it is awake, but I'll check it out.
This machine is my "music source" and my wife uses it to listen to the radio throughout iTunes.
Might be that I need to update a password on that machine.....I had to change my mac account password recently and may have missed entering it for some service.....
