Why aren't there any English GPS maps for Japan?

I mean, why? There are GPS maps for almost every developed country, but for Japan there are none that i know of (neither Navteq nor Teleatlas, which are the two major cartography companies out there).
I've seen several Japanese GPS solutions, but they unfortunately don't have an English option. I've never seen a major company like TomTom or Garmin (among many others), offering a solution for that market.
So, what company does the cartography out there (Navteq or Teleatlas like), and why doesn't TomTom or Garmin use their data in order to develop an English GPS solution? There has to be some kind of logical explanation.

Since this is the only way of getting navigation for Japan, Pakistan and Cyprus which Nokia have choosen to avoid providing for with Nokia Maps, presumably you would rather OP was left in ignorance of technical feasibility of it's use upon Symbian devices.

Where are the diagnostic reports, or why aren't there any?

I understand that under mavericks, diagnostic reports are supposed to be found either in
/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ (System Diagnostic Reports),
or in
~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports (User Diagnostic Reports).
Unfortunately, even after a number of crashes, they aren't. While in my case, the system DiagnosticReports folder exists, but contains nothing but powerstats, in the user library, not even the folder is there.
So, either they are elsewhere, or they aren't being generated. In the first case, my question would be: Where are the diagnostic reports? In the latter, it would be: Why aren't there any (despite the system crashes)?

These are logs to help if a program crashes, or has other issues.
If there are no issues, no logs are produced.

It's not clear from your post, but you do realise
that if you import a cd as a compilation, it will not
appear under artists? This is done to save the iPod
being cluttered up with single artists entries who
might have only one song listed.
I wasn't aware of that. It's true that I haven't been using the "compilation" tag for a long time. I've only started using it with iTunes 7 as otherwise with Coverflow I would have one album cover for each artist in a compilation. Before that my compilations weren't tagged as such as that is quite probably why each artist from compilations showed up when browsing by artists.

Only photos taken in the last 30 days are transferred using Photo Stream.

I haven’t been able to find any.
Since the .m4v file type appears to prevent any video bought or rented from the iTunes Store from being played using any other program the lack of these picture controls - if indeed they are lacking - make it seriously deficient as a video player.

I know that it’s possible to adjust the monitor’s performance via System Preferences but it is rather long-winded and I’d rather not alter the settings for the entire screen (and then have to change them all back once finished) when it’s only the video playback window that needs adjustment.
Since iTunes provides various options using the Equalizer for adjusting sound playback it seems rather odd that they don’t have a similar panel for video.
Regarding QuickTime.
Apparently earlier versions (such as 7) had picture controls but the current version (10.4) does not.
I assume Apple are phasing out QT whose development seems to have stopped - or rather gone backwards since it now lacks capabilities it once had - and intend in future to treat iTunes as their universal media player which no doubt makes sense from their point of view.
I wasn’t aware of the .m4v file type when I made my first and probably last video purchase via iTunes yesterday and didn’t realise that it would restrict my options for playback so completely.
The experience has really put me off buying any additional video from the iTunes Store.

Copy control for Text in Sales Order

Hi All,
i would like to check with you guys.
I have a scenario where by, we create sales order and maintain item text. This is copied to the delivery. Here the text if modified to enter more text.
But when it comes to invoice, it is copying the text from the sales order instead of the delivery.
How can I configure it to copy from delivery?

Kindly check the following points:
1) Same text ids are present at Delivery item & Billing Item.
2) It at you want it at Item level text only then try through the ABAP routine at Copying Control between Delivery to Billing.
3)As u must have checked at Delivery --> Billing Document Copying control at item level , I didn't find any control for text.
Similarly for the Header. But by default Header text will overlap the item text as well due to the missing routine. But I have verified it in the past, if you maintain the same text at Delivery Header and it will populate at your billing document Header text as well.
Please try and confirm the same.

Copy control for texts

Hi experts,
I am trying to copy control for text objects between ZSMN (Copy of SLFN) & ZNSR(Copy of SLFN). In transation type "ZSMN", i have maintained text object "ZUZZ-Log", which copies all the text entries(Description, Internal Note & Query).
I have maintained the text object "ZCPY-Log of ZSMN " in the transaction type "ZNSR".
The requirement is:
All the texts which has been captured in "ZUZZ" in the transaction type "ZSMN" to be copied to "ZCPY" in the transaction type ZNSR.
I have made the copy control in the SPRO for these text objects. But still the texts are NOT getting copied from ZSMN to ZNSR.
Need your valuable inputs

sorry to say but Daniels way doesn't work. In 7.1 ChaRM and Incident the transaction type copy has changed in a way that we invoke the CRM standard Copy Control and have a BadI there only for specific things.
Partner copy runs via CRM standard partner copy. That means:
1.) You have assigned an access sequence in each partner Determination (area Partner Functions in Procedure) for the partner function:
2.) You have customized an access sequence is defined here:
So, please just customize the partner copy as you would in CRM standard.,

Why aren't there any folders for sorting bookmarks?

I have a lot of bookmarks and having one long list is cumbersome. Why isn't there some way to sort bookmarks so that they can be used efficiently? Do the developers of this browser think that people only bookmark a dozen sites? For this reason Firefox can't be used for serious work or browsing. Are there any plans to change this? And is there a workaround at this time?

Unfortunately Firefox for Android doesn't have this feature natively. I don't know why. The workaround is to bookmark your sites on the Desktop Firefox and then use Firefox Sync to transfer them over to your Android device.

Passing Objects to methods, why aren't they changed permanently?

If an object is passed by reference, and primitive types are passed by value; then why does the following programme not alter the original values of A and B?
I m trying to pass parameters into a method so that they can be altered and returned, can any one suggest a way to do this.

Objects passed by reference can be modified and it will affect the caller, but modifying the reference (assiging a new object) won't affect the caller.

No-one here speaks for Apple, so you're not going to get an answer (or, at least, not an authoritative one) to a question like "any one know why they don't fix the problem with itunes 12?". If you can post more details about "the problem", what version of iTunes and edition of Windows you're using, etc. then someone may be able to suggest a remedy or a workaround. If you want to alert Apple to a specific issue then you can use their feedback page to do so. If your iDevice is under warranty (or you are willing to pay) you can also contact Apple support and arrange to talk to someone from Apple.

I have a number of playlists configured to play songs I haven't heard in a while. They then drop off the playlist once they've played. When I use my iPhone, however, the songs stay on the iPhone version of the playlist. Why aren't they syncing properly?

I don't like Apple's algorithm that constantly pushes the same songs at me, so I have a couple of playlists configured for songs I haven't listened to in a month, two months, etc. This has worked fine for years. Since I've gotten my iPhone 4S, however, things are goofy. The songs are marked as played and fall off of the playlist on iTunes, but they stay on the playlist on the iPhone, which means they come up again and again in the shuffle of that playlist. Even if I sync the iPhone the songs are still on the version of the playlist on the phone and I can't figure out a way to "refresh" that playlist and get rid of them. I know this is my own particular quirk about my music, but it's worked with every other iPod I've had. I don't know why the iPhone is holding on to a different version of the playlist than the one on iTunes. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
My iTunes is on a MacBook running Snow Leopard.

I had a very similar issue (same playlist). After several frustrating hours of various combinations I was able to sync by changing the options to "manuall sync.." and then "dragging and dropping" the needed playlist from the iTunes Playlist list to the iPhone button (on my itunes setup/view that was from the far left column list of all of my playlist in iTunes to the far upper right "iPhone" button). To sum up "checking" the playlist and syncing didnt work, "drag and droping" the playlist did... at least for now... then I unselected the "manually manage" in the options and re-synced and all playlist were synced correctly.
