i did
file, add folder to library.
and then added a new video to my movie section.
when i plug in my ipod, the movies wont update on my ipod.
why is that? why arent they working?

also, the last solution i had didnt require me to install an earlier version of flashplayer or firefox, and it was the same problem

It's one of those problems where it works like one minute, and then suddenly stops working the next. I know for a fact it has to do with the flash player in some way. I've had this problem before and found the solution, but for some reason i cant find it again, and forgot how i solved it. I've tried to redownload both adobe flash player and firefox but it didnt solve anything, disabling adblock doesnt help, disabling the hardware acceleration a little but useless difference, i have tried to disable the flash player add-ons and enabled them, both dont work, i only have 1 version of flashplayer( the most recent), and I am too frustrated to keep searching for an answer that is correct, when all i can find are the wrong ones over and over again . If anyone knows how to solve the problem where the FIREFOX(only) browser shows youtube as having the error " an error has occurred. Please try again later. " and all other videos and ads have a white blank screen, PLEASE help
also, everything works on google chrome and IE

Why wont elements video work

I have just ugraded to elements 12 fro 9 and the video editor side wont load although 9 was also a bust. It asks me to sign in and when I do nothing happens I can click on new project or existing and the little stripe does its thing then nothing

Do you have an active Internet Connection?
You need to Sign In to the program with your Adobe ID and password otherwise the program will not work.

Please check out the above in that regard, although, from what you wrote, you "signed in". It includes a description of a problem that I had with Sign In dialog.
Since you are having difficulties using Premiere Elements 9 or 12 on your computer, this suggests that the problem may be in the computer.
1. What computer operating system is your computing running on? Please describe it resources?
2. What video card/graphics card is your computer using? Is it using 2?
3. Are you running the program as Run As Administrator and from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 12? Is Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 still installed on this same computer?
5. Do you have 3rd party plug-ins and codecs installed on this computer? In reviewing your installed programs, do you see any likely candidates for conflicting programs?
6. You say that Premiere Elements 9 was a "bust also". Did you troubleshoot that at the time and what were you told were your problems? Or was that never defined?
Please check out the above and then let us know if any of it applies to your situation.

Why doesnt my videos work correctly

when i play a video on my itunes 7 i get a little control box that appears which has puase and play and all that kind of stuff which is fine but when it dissapears thte whole video change to a load of different shades of yellow and i cant see the video. so i have to move the mouse on top of the control box so it doesnt dissapear just so i can see the video. can somebody please help me.

I had a similar problem on my XP notebook. I found the problem to be my antivirus software which was using so much system resources it ment iTunes had less memory etc to use.
If you dont have antivirus software installed i dont no what your problem is but if you do try disabling it and restart iTunes.

Why arent my sensors working?

I've got a single board RIO and a few sensors. I cant get the sensors to work. More accurately, the sensors are working, but LabVIEW isn't giving me correct values. I checked the pin-values with my multimeter and the sensor works correctly.
The frontpanel always shows that the sensoroutput is allways high, but when I measure on the actual pin, the voltage is at 15mV. Even when I connect the pin directly to a ground pin, it still says its high (tried the same with a 5v pin and it also gives a high level).
I added a picture of the FPGA code i used (simple as it may be).
Can somebody help me?

Help..Flash Videos work for Chrome/IE but NOT Firefox

So I cannot see some flash videos on Firefox (like sites CNet & Disney do not work) which use flash. It does work on Chrome & IE.
1. ALL Programs are the newest/latest versions.
2. I removed and downloaded all programs- restarted the computer after each download.
3. I have the latest Flash (according to the website) when I view the Adobe Flash Website on Firefox.
I don't know why some flash videos work...and some do not.
I am running Vista. All my programs are legit...and I do have McAfee running..I don't download porn, no viruses etc.. Anyone have advice?!!

I disabled firewall which - for some weird reason- allow it to play in Firefox. Videos played in IE & Chrome- but not in Firefox, until I disabled Firewall..weird.

I folowered the instructions on putting youtube videos on a website in dreamweavermx 2004 (copy embeded code, paste in Dreamweaver in code view etc) It just appears as a grey box with the logo AX in the middle when veiwed in IE8 , I thought I had done something wrong, but when veiwed in Firefox it all there, the Youtube video etc and it all works ! Why does it not work in IE8 and how do you get it to work ? thanks

Gettingonmynerves, in my honest opinion, you will be gettingabsolutelynowhere in your attemp to edit AVCHD files natively with PE using a Laptop.
Your system is seriously underpowered for the task at hand.
Most folks would recommend at least a Quad Core desktop, tuned for perfomance.
What you might try is to convert the AVCHD to traditional HDV via this link:

This may buy you some relief, but even with the convert, I think it will still be a challenge to edit these formats on a laptop.
You could also try to down convert the video via the Camera, if that feature is available. I don't have or use a High Def Camera at this time so I can't help much with the Camera possibilities.
Again it's not an issue with the laptop itself, it probably works great for it's intended use, unfortunately it is not up to the task, performance wise, for editing the ACVHD or High Def formats with PE...

Try this:
Quit Skype.
Click on the desktop so Finder is active. Hold the option key down and click on Go in the menu bar.
In the drop down, select Library.
Open the Library folder and scroll down to Preferences.
In that folder, there is a file called com.skype.skype.plist. Trash that file.
Now try Skype.

Why would Lightroom video capabilities/iTunes import/Netflix streaming/Photoshop all stop working at once?

Several programs all stopped working at the same time and will only work (briefly) right after I've restarted my computer including:
- iTunes audio cd importing
- Lightroom video importing and playback
Netflix streaming (on both Safari and Chrome) won't work and Photoshop (CS4) won't open at all.
Videos work without a problem in: Quicktime, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and Bridge CS4 and CS6. YouTube also works without a problem.
Maybe the problems are conincidence, but this seems like it is posisbly a software problem with my computer, not my programs.
I have tried reinstalling Ligthroom and resetting the preferences files but they don't help.
The only things that I can think of that happened is that I:
1. downloaded my own videos from my own YouTube acocunt after my external hard drive failed and maybe there was a virus?
2. I deleted some programs with "Clean My Mac 2" and maybe it deleted some crucial file someplace?
I am running a 2009 13" MacBook Pro with a 2.53 Ghz processor and 4 GB RAM and Mountain Lion (everything is up to date).

I had problems with streaming until I changed the WiFi channel that I was using. The original one conflicted with my neighbor. After that, MOST of my streaming problems vanished. Occasionally, a movie would pause for more buffering and I eventually ran an ethernet cable from the Apple TV to my Apple Extreme (to eliminate the Wifi). I have not had a single problem since then (except to repair the drywall after running the ethernet from one floor to another). :-)

Video works on iPod, then becomes audio -- no pattern of why...

Ok, I copy my mp4 videos onto my Ipod (video 60gb) from my Windows XP computer with latest iTunes..
The videos worked fine yesterday on my iPod.. I tried to look at them today, and they were being treated as audio files..
This is not the first time this has happened to me.. The half-assed solution is to copy the videos again from the PC to the iPod and it will fix it for a day or so, but they always go back to being audio files.. And its so random that I cant trust the video to be there when I need it now... (I'm a filmmaker and its really nice to have my film trailer with me at all times)
I've tried to reset all the settings on the Ipod
Ive made sure the "TV Out" is set to "off.
Possible problems
I manually sync the iPod music..
I use the Photo's feature (which seems to be only Automatic syncing) and I've noticed that video files usually screw up and turn to audio when Photos gets updated..
But it happens other times too.. This morning I manually re-copied all my video files to my ipod, and they worked immediately after i disconected from the PC.. Later that day (without reconnecting to anything) I was tryin to show somebody my trailer today, you guessed it -- it was an audio file... It is REALLY frustrating - especially when i bought the dang thing for this specific purpose...
Any suggestions? When it works it really is a cool feature...

I'm not sure if this help you, but it help for me. I was having problems with video files on my Ipod. 95% of the time videos start fine. After 30 seconds (more or less), audio start to fail and video stop. After a couple of seconds, video resume but without audio.
After troubleshooting my Ipod (Video 60gb), even re-installing everything again, I decide to "downgrade" the firmware. Yes, I said "downgrade". After this, all videos run smoothly and with audio. No problem so far.
I use a program "Ipod Wizard" to downgrade the firmware.
What I'm telling is that maybe is not a setting problem, maybe is a firmware problem like I had.
Als, my personal recomendation is to keep all setting to auto-syncronization. Including music, photos and video files. At the beginning I uses to sync manually but a lot of problems came up.
Remember, first of all, BACK UP everything

HTML5 Video Works In Live and Preview But Not on My Website

I feel totally ripped off by Adobe, again, I talked to a sales representative who told me that if I bought CS6 I would be able to easily install html5 video because the new version had an insert function that did most of the coding for you and gave you a properties view to select alt source... Now, I find out that is only available in the Cloud version. What a bunch of ....
Anyway, I can't get my video to play in IE, but it works fine in FireFox. I am using Windows so don't know about Safari. The live view and the preview in browser video works just fine but when I upload it to my site the webpage with the video has a space where the video is with dotted lines around it, but it is empty. The control panel flashes for a second but disappears. The video file is there in three versions. I check the MP4 version and it works fine, as I said it works in the preview IE browser.
Any ideas? Very frustrated, I figure if I had the properties view or could have inserted the file via HTML5 video command it would probably work.

Thanks Nancy, you're sure right about the user - I am a newbie and quite ignorant yet. I am a Linux user through Host Gator (not so good btw - slow over-crowded servers). I checked and added the basic MIMEs that I am trying to play. h.264, mp4, mov, ogg (OGV), WEBM, even wmv.

I tried reconfiguring the MP4 file several times using all sorts of settings here is the most recent versions and my code on this page. Note on the webpage below I explain that the Sony Movie Studio forum suggests saving in MainConcept AVC/AAC (*.MP4/*.AAC) Internet HD 720P codec   I also tried saving in WMV and then using Freemake to convert the file to HTML5 (it makes three files, obviously the ogv file works in Firefox, I don't know about the WEBM file, but it looks like the mp4 file doesn't work, that is why I made one file specificially for mp4 using Movie Studio to render it.)

When I record video in Photo Booth the video works fine, the audio does not work. I have looked through other forums and tried what they have suggested but nothing is working. I sware it worked once but now I can't figure it out.
