Why Bluetooth not enabling on desktop manager 4.7

Hi!!!
I've been trying to connect my BB Bold to my computer thru bluetooth connection but when I go to the connections options on Desktop Manager 4.7 it does not allows for the bluetooth connection. I'm using a Zoom USB bluetooth device and my OS is Vista 64.
I installed the bluetooth device using my Toshiba laptop software.
 Thanksin advance for your help!

Hello abedauhajre,
Bluetooth pairing with Desktop Manager 4.7 requires the use of Windows Bluetooth drivers. Most Toshiba laptops use their own set of Bluetooth driver which I have seen as an issue in the past.
You might find this KB of use:

    Hello
Why is not enabled on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia FaceTime Why banned?
I have purchased a product (iPhone) (4) and surprised the deletion of this property is important!
There is no equality between us and you, Britain, Canada and some European countries?
I pay this amount to $ 750 enjoy the full features found with this product and finally blocked some features, such as FaceTime?
We will be happy if the service was activated FaceTime in Saudi Arabia
    thanks a lot

Because your government doesn't want citizens making free calls over WiFi. Complain to them, as they are the one's who requested FaceTime be removed.

  • BB 8330 Curve will not sync with Desktop Manager (Media Portion)

The BB Desktop Manager software will not let me use the Media portion of the software.  I have enabled the media card option on my BB and I have also enabled "Mass Storage" on my phone.  Why can't I get my BB to sync with the software?

    Hi ripkin1981,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
What version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager are you using? What happens when you try to sync media? Do you receive an error message?

  • 8900 Not Connecting to Desktop Manager in Boot Camp

    Hi all
I have a problem in Boot Camp (XP Pro) on my new MacBook Pro. My 8900 shows up perfectly in device manager and I can also browse the media card. When I run Desktop Manager 4.7, it cannot pick up the BlackBerry and it shows as Disconnected. I have tried re-installing Desktop Manager and even tried the latest unreleased version 5.0. Browsing other forums have suggested I take the battery out for a minute and try again and this didn't work either.
I have tried going back to DM 4.7, re-installed Bootcamp 2.1 drivers and installed VMWare Fusion. Nothing gets it connected, yet every time the 8900 shows up perfectly in Device Manager.
I installed on my partners HP laptop and it connected immediately in DM. I really need this to work on my Mac (boot camp preferably) and i simply cannot understand why its not working.
Please help me! What am I doing wrong? I've been trying for hours and so frustrated!
    Thanks in advance...

  • Curve 8330 will not sync with desktop manager after 4.5 OS upgrade

Last time I connected to the desktop manager, it asked me to upgrade to 4.5. I thought, why not? So I did. Since then, I can no longer use the Google Sync for calendar and contacts as it stopped working immedately afterwards.
I realized I need to get my contacts updated on my phone, and my calendar corrected so I tried to sync to the desktop.
The phone is no longer being recognized by the system. This is since the updated. I have downloaded the USB / Modem drivers again but haven't installed / reinstalled them yet.
I was hoping it was maybe a simple fix?
I'm running Win XP Professional SP 3. I am using 4.7 of the Desktop manager. (Worked fine before OS upgrade)
If I haven't given enough details to help, please let me know.
    Thanks!

  • Reconcile email messages option not available in Desktop Manager

I recently installed the Desktop Manager in an attempt to sync my new Tour with Outlook 07. After going through the install process, I went to the Synchronize option in the desktop manager and the reconcile email messages option is greyed out. I have a home office and do not have a BB Enterprise Server.  In fact, there is not even an Email Settings icon available to me in the Main Menu of the desktop manager.  Any thoughts on how to enable this option? Thanks

That function is not available on a personal BIS account.
You'll need a BES account for email and messages reconcile, to Outlook.

  • Address Book Syncrhonization not available in Desktop Manager

    Hi all;
I'm a complete noivce BB user, so apologies if this is an obvious question.
I've synced my Bold's Address Book with my Address Book on my Mac and home and now would like to sync my work contacts through Outlook. However, when I attempt to use the Desktop Manager to do so. There is no option for the Address Book (just Calendar, Addins, tasks and memos).
    Any thoughts?
    Many thanks in advance...
    Doug

Is the Address Book option missing or grayed out? I'm not sure why you're seeing add-ins in the list. In the list with 4 checkboxes there should only be Address Book, Calendar, Memos, Tasks.

  • G470 Bluetooth not listed under Device Manager and not working

    Hi,
Can someone teach me how to solve my G470 problem?
Its Bluetooth is not listed under Device Manager and I can't find it anywhere.

    hi athirah11,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
    Can you try the following:
    1. Press the Windows key‌ +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the Device Manager, click View > Show hidden devices and check if the Bluetooth device is being listed.
    - Link to picture
    - Link to picture
    2. If the bluetooth device shows up under the Device Manager, do the following:
        a. Under Control Panel > Programs, uninstall the Bluetooth driver/software (reboot if necessary)
        b. Run the Bluetooth Driver Installer
         -  this will identify the type of Bluetooth Device installed on the system (eg. Qualcom Atheros, Intel, etc.) and it will install a generic Bluetooth driver. If successful, the Bluetooth device and its components should now appear normally under the Device Manager.
If the bluetooth device still doesn't show up, can you provide the model number of your G470 (eg. 59xxxxxx) fur further checking.
Let me know how it goes.
    Regards

I've tried downloading the oldest version of DM and the newest and i still have the same problem. My Imac does see the 8700r when connected. Hi,
They look the same, feel like the same BUT physically they are not the same specially the chemical which covers the surfaces of the dics. This is something to do with the ODD, not the software. I would not continue to create recovery set with those disc's.

The device may have an IT policy disallowing bluetooth.

  • Curve not recognized by Desktop Manager

I am running Windows XP and using a Curve 8330.  I originally installed and was successfully using version 4.7 of Desktop Manager via a USB port.  About two weeks ago, when I plugged in the Curve Desktop Manager indicated it wasn't connected.  I have searched this site and tried many of the suggested fixes.  I've done a hard reset on the device.  I have done a clean uninstall of the software numerous times.  I've reinstalled version 4.7 and tried connecting wit no success.   I've installed version 5.0 and tried connecting with no success.
I've noted that many of the suggestions listed in this forum suggest clicking on various items within Desktop Manager that are non-existant in all versions that I've downloaded and installed.
I would appreciate any and all suggestions.  This is maddening!

    Kelbethor,
Could you please provide more detail so I can try your solution?
    Valdeck,
I have no idea what BBSAK or JL_Cmdr is/are so I don't know where to go with your comments.
In either case Desktop Manager is still not communicating with the Blackberry.  I've done a clean uninstall and reinstalling DM 5.0.  I've done a hard reset on the BB and I still can't get it to work.
When I look in Device Manager at "Ports (COM & LPT)" I see "RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM4))" and "RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM5))"
When I look at Universal Serial Bus Controllers I don't see any that appear to be associated with RIM.  There are 3 Intel USB Universal Host Controllers, 4 USB Root Hubs, a Generic USB Hub and an Intel 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller.
    Any ideas?
