Why caint i hear the sound with you tube vedios?

when im on youtube when i try to watch a vedio there is no audio. how do i fix that. i tryed restarting the computer , that didnt work. smh

1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
2. Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
     Follow the prompts. Quit Safari from Safari menu bar.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

Whoa, I found the answer by clicking on one of the questions in the "More Like This" box to the right. I do wonder how to find that box before posting my dumb question. The answer turned out to be checking the youtube volume control. I turned that up and it solved the problem for Comast as well.

I have trouble with hearing the sounds when I send greetings through "Smilebox". Apparently for the sound to be heard I was told I need Flash player 11.6.

There have been several similar posts in the past few weeks, but I have not followed them to see if there was a solution.
Try either to go back to the previous version 11.6 (see How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player? ), or try the latest Flash Player beta: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

Same problem with all headphones and earbuds--just checked settings and Volume Limit was already off--starting to think it's a volume system flaw tied to videos and related sound. No problem getting plenty of sound volume for music, only videos.

If you've activated FileVault, only the users that were authorized to unlock the startup volume will appear in the pre-startup authentication dialog. Once the system has started up, all users will appear in the login dialog.

You should only enable users whom you trust implicitly with all data on the system, not just their own data.

Why can't attendees hear the sound that is embedded in my PowerPoint slide?

I have sound embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. I can hear the sound on my computer but the attendees or participants don't hear the sound. What do I need to do so that they will also hear the sound.

Audio on your computer is not transmitted via screen share. I suppose you could hold a mic near your computer speakers to broadcast the audio.
You can also try uploading the PPT(X) to the Share pod in Connect and see if the audio uploads with it, but it may not.

Why can I not hear the sound on my videos?

I cannot hear the sound on my videos after I convert them for iPod use on iTunes. I can hear the sound before I convert them - what gives?

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.

When i start Firefox ( 5.0.1 ) it loads the home page fine but along with it, it starts playing a video i watched earlier on youtube and it is invisible ( no where in tabs ) and i can just hear the sound. After playing the video one time it stops.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

If that works post back for further advice.
Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
