Why can I make an in-app purchase for 4.99 but not for $99

does iTunes have a limit as to how much I can spend and if so how can I lift that limit?

I'm not aware of any limit. What happens when you try to do the $99 IAP ? If you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you will need to do so (these are user-to-user forums), and see if they can stop the message appearing again :
- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
- then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If it's a different problem ... ?

    We are having this same problem with our Iphones and before you ask yes these phones are allowed to make in-app purchases. This is happening for all apps not just one or two and all of our Iphones. We have even asked several of our friends with Iphone and they also are unable to make in-app purchases. We can go into the app and go to the in-app purchase area and we see what is available but we are unable to make any selections.  We have contacted apple care and they have had us reset the settings for in-app purchases and we still get have the same problem. Since this is happening on all our Iphones 3s, 4, and 4s. It leads me to believe that it is an issue with the Itune store not allowing in-app purchases. Is any one else having this problem? Had this problem but was able to get it fixed, what did you have to do to get it where you could make in-app purchases.

    I can't make an in-app purchase in the app game Campus Life. iTunes goes to the credit card and I don't have a credit card, and so an error shows up insufficient funds. I have money in my iTunes account from the gift card. How do I buy through iTunes not through a Credit card? I didn't see anything on iTunes/apple account that will let me change it. I see other people can get gems or whatever through iTunes in-app. Please help ASAP! Thanks.

    I have bought an iPad today and I am trying to make an in app purchase and it won't let me. Just says go to apple support? Any ideas. I have signed into my apple account and I have also tried to make a purchase on my iPhone which has worked ???
    I'm trying to buy coins for a game and it just won't have it!!! I have just purchased a ringtone on my I phone to see if that worked which it did.

    I'm trying to make an in-app purchase, but i forgot the answers to my security questions.
    How do change the alternate email address that the security reset code is sent to? I haven't used it in so long that i forgot that i had it.

    I found on another question and answer to my question posted above: hold the top and bottom buttons at the same time to reset the iPad and this worked!

  • I can't make an in-app purchase

    Everytime I try to buy Pleco's (Chinese Dict) Basic bundle in-app purchase, it sends me to the app store to verify my CC information. That's all nice and good, until I actually try to input ANYTHING at all, it just sends me to Apple's user protection information page.
    I tried checking in-app purchasing on/off, turning itunes/app-store on/off via the restrictions but those didn't work.
    I'm on iPhone 4S, iOS6. Not sure if this matters but I'm using a Canadian CC under a South Korean address (I live in ROK).

    When I click to make a purchase in any of my apps it pops up like it normally would asking me for my Apple ID password & when I enter it. It pops up & says that the Apple ID cannot be found or is incorrect but it's the right password that I'm entering .. I can't figure it out

    Contact iTunes Support - Your Apple ID may have been disabled to protect your account.  They can explain why.
