Why can I no longer use "favorites" since the last Firefox update????

I imported all my Favorites from Internet explorer when I first began using Firefox. I click on "favorites" and I get a complete list of all the URLs I use a lot. After the last update, the list no longer appears. I've reloaded the app and no joy. It still works if I quit firefox and use IE.

Alternately, you can import your IE Favorites into Firefox's Bookmarks system. However, if you plan to add new Favorites in IE, then they would not be the same between browsers, so perhaps that isn't the right approach for you.

You NEED a firewall, it is more important that an antivirus.
Avast seems ok, but SpybotSD ? Is it still working, not out-of-date ? Try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, it is working like SpybotSD : free for checking your computer once by once, but paying if you want your computer always under his protection.
And then, perform a check-up of your computer, to detect any malware.
Second, after cleaning your computer, come back here and tell if you still have your problem. I believe that the cleaning will solve the problem, but maybe I'm wrong. I'll check every day this topic.

That is a bug in Firefox.
You can set the Boolean pref dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled to false on the about:config page or alternatively hold down Ctrl+C keys until the translate selection disappears that text in the left input text area start flashing.

A site that I use regularly has buttons that I can use to navigate - but 1 has disappeared since the last FireFox update - and I can't use it anymore.

For 2 years I've been using a website that I order my products through. One of the buttons is my '''account''', the other is the '''catalogue '''(many others besides those - but those are the ones I use frequently).
After the last FireFox update (3.6.15) - suddenly the "'''catalogue'''" button disappeared. I thought it was a problem with the company site, but when they accessed my account (using an older version of FireFox) - the catalogue button showed up.

Why do my thumbnails not all load on a page like they used to before the last Firefox update?

I used to love firefox and used it exclusively as my web browser. But ever since the last update to version 3.6.15 the thumbnails on the websites I ALWAYS visit no longer all load!
Some of the thumbnails load and some don't. If I close firefox and go back to the same page I may get some of the thumbnails to load that didn't before but others that DID load before don't this time.
This same problem happens at other sites as well.
So, I gave up using firefox and switched back to IE because it works properly at least though I don't like it as much as firefox.
I wish they hadn't tried to fix something that wasn't broken because now it is broken!

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

How can I turn off the the big orange window that keeps opening on top of Google since the last firefox update installed.

Since the last mozilla/firefox update whenever I go online, google and mozilla/firefox open at the same time and I can not see google since mozille/firefox (a big orange window) opens on top of google. I read everything in the window but there doesn't seem to be an "off" button for this big orange window.

Are you saying you always see the "Welcome to Firefox" message? The first thing to try is to open Phone, and simply dial "1" -- hold the "1" key down for 2 or 3 seconds. That should send you to your cellular carrier's voicemail box. You may be asked for a password. Type it in if you ever had one, if not, try your telephone number as the password. If that does not set up visual voicemail, contact your cellular carrier.

The Downloads window doesn't display information since the last Firefox update

I had to register a new help account just to get here.
Your broser has been fucking up like crazy since the last update. I have been having nothing but problems logging into multiple sites. Sites would log me out randomly, then I wouldn';t be able to log back in. I tried to make an account on a new site and had to try 11 damn times before it went through. and just now, when I tried to ask a troubleshooting question, my username and password wouldn't work. So I sent a password reset request. Nothing happened. I sent at least FIVE password reset requests. None of them has gone through. When I tried to enter a different username, thinking maybe that was the problem, as soon as I re-typed it and clicked anywhere outside the name space, it'd revert to the name that was previously there. What the hell!?
I haven't even gotten to the problem I originally wanted to contact you about!
The downloads window no longer works. I download a file, I click on 'Downloads' to see how long it'll be, I see nothing. Plain, blank white. And yes, I know some files download so quickly they're gone before I can open the window. I'm talking about large several-megabyte videos and disk images. No indication that they're downloading at all.
All this has happened since 19.0 installed. Do I have to disable updates from now on to keep the browser working properly!?

Since the last Firefox update my computer automatically goes online at start up and I do NOT want to do this, so how can I discontinue?

I've searched through my system preferences and Firefox preferences and both helps and cannot figure out how to prevent the computer from automatically going online (using Firefox) when I start it up. I do not want this to happen because the computer will be online when I am not using it; this poses security problems. The correct way to move iTunes from one computer to another is to copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer (or backup of the old computer) to the new computer. This will make everything in iTunes on the new computer exactly as it was on the old computer.

Since the last Firefox update, flash player crashes when I start my cam

When I start my webcam in a chat room, Adobe Flash Player crashes. If I do not start my cam, everything is fine. I have the latest versions of Firefox and Flash Player. I have windows 98

I have the same problem as well, however, I have noticed that the issues seem to be local to specific sites.
In my case, its tinychat.com, and tokbox.com. I have no problems getting into Tinychat, but when I try to cam up or even access the settings in regards to the camera dialog, adobe crashes.
So far, I can chat and cam anywhere else I please with no issues that Ive found.
Another thing i noticed, is it worked fine the first time i logged into Tinychat, but on the next subsequent visit, it was broken and remained so after.

Ever since the last Firefox update (12 April 2013), Yoono 7.7.17 displays totally black; reinstalling Yoono doesn't help.

At lunchtime yesterday when I went online, I got the message "checking add-on compatibility with this version of Firefox;" subsequently, the Yoono sidebar displayed as a solid black box. Disabling and re-enabling Yoono didn't help, nor did removing and reinstalling Yoono, nor did restarting the computer. I've come to rely on Yoono to advise me of YouTube & Facebook updates without me having to directly visit my YouTube or Facebook home page and scrolling through all the updates myself - and I really miss not having the Yoono sidebar around!

My optomum online email is unreadable since the last ffirefox update. It works on other computers but nnot this desktop

I have email through optimum online. They provide classic email and a newer beta format that i like to use. Since the last firefox updte I can no longer read my emails in this newer version. It all looks like code, though I can open and read attachments. I can read the emails in browsers or in the classic version of email, which is less user friendly. How can I get the emails to readroperly????

What do you see instead of those missing icons?
If you see little boxes with a hex code then that are actually characters provided by a font that is downloaded from the web server. 
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts if such icons are missing.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 (I think because the licensing agreement with google ended). You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or (if this isn't the version that you have tried) try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)
