Why can I not access my Airport Extreme with Bonjour

I have the setting checked but no matter what I the Airport Extreme doesn't show up in Bonjour. The Airport Extreme is connected to an XFinity cable modem/wireless router. The Airport Extreme is working perfectly, streaming a connected USB 3.0 2TB HD. Everything seems to work just fine except I cannot just put the IP address in and access it from Safari.
The Airport Extreme is not using DHCP and I am letting the XFINITY cable modem be the DHCP server.

Please check out the following Gigaom article. Although it references a Time Capsule, it works equally well for the AirPort Extreme base station.

Just like the title says. I the Airport Extreme does not show up under Bonjour in Safari. I can access it from the network but not Bonjour. Weird.

Bonjour, as you may already know, is Apple's implementation of zero-configuration networking.
It takes three things to work:
Host Addressing - It requires network devices that support Link-Local addressing, i.e., self-addressing on either, or both, IPv4 & IPv6. ARP is used to verify that no other device on the local network is using the same address. For Macs, self assigned IPv4 Link-Local addressing became available with OS X 10.0. IPv6 always supported this feature. Verify that you have IPv6 Link-Local, as a minimum, running on your Mac. System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi or Ethernet (as appropriate) > Advanced > TCP/IP tab > Configure IPv6 > Either "Automatically" or "Link-local only."
Host Naming - Device naming is dependent on Multicast DNS (mDNS). This is the ".local" name for the device. It will create one unless you enter one in System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name. mDNS will issue a Query command to see if any other device is using the same name. mDNS is available with all versions of OS X. Windows devices would require Bonjour for Windows. mDNS requires UDP port 5353 to be opened on the device's software firewall. Note: This is not the same as the router's firewall.
Service Discovery - Requires the first two items to be working and available. Note: A problematic /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist file may prevent your Mac from advertising its services.

Based on my understanding, your issue is you cannot create folder in Windows 7, right?
Did you fix it?
This issue might be caused by corrupted system file.

It could be that there's a new source of interference.

I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

The email program on my iphone is not configured to remove messages from the server.
If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

Go to the editor preferences>general and turn on Allow Floating Documents in Expert Mode and see if that helps.

What are these hidden drives in my root directory? Why can I not access them?

Noticed two drives (?) in my root directory a week or so back that were never there before, one called net and one called home. Also have been getting anomalous folders appearing on the left of explorer as 'shared' folders/devices. Odd thing is I have no access to them (read only attribute, but even less than read only as I can't actually read any data on them) and they say they are zero bytes and created in 2001?! Another odd thing is the network icon in my root directory (which is set to neighborhood) when I click 'get info' the lock button is greyed out, and the more info just hangs on the 'fetching' spinning wheel.
Secondly I have a 'shared' device/server/folder(?) called Bthub4 on the left in explorer, right clicking 'get info' for that gives similar results with no access, or info. See pic below.

Trying to view the Bthub4 shared device/server/folder gives a prompt to enter a name and password "for the server 'bthub4'" No password (operating system, or wifi related) works, and the guest account fails to give me access to the server. Pic of prompt: http://i62.tinypic.com/ae5jjk.png

Let me just say first: I've learned my mistake for forgetting about the rule: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Anyways, today I wanted to inprove wifi speeds on my 5th gen AirPort Extreme Base Station. I tried enabling Extend a Wireless Network, 5 Ghz connection, static IP, and I got this:

The image that you posted did not appear, and the link seems to be inactive.
The default settngs for the AirPort Extreme provide maximum available speeds, so there is rarely any need to change the settings.
Try a Factory Default Reset to see if you can unlock the AirPort Extreme.
Pull the power cord from the back of the AirPort Extreme
Wait a few minutes
Hold in the reset button first, and keep holding for an additional 9-10 seconds while you simultaneously plug the power cord back in to the AirPort Extreme
Release the reset button after the hold period and allow a full minute for the AirPort Extremet to restart back to a slow, blinking amber light
If the reset is successful, you will now be able to reconfigure the AirPort Extreme again.

i can not sync my iphone 5 to my computer to access my already purchesed itunes music! i tried to buy itunes match using my credits on itunes but it will not allow me to do this with out the use of a credit card. im getting frustrated with the fact i can not access my music ive already paid for. any sugestions on how fix this problem?

Try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and log out of your account and then log back in and see if the store's pages then show. If if doesn't then you could try closing the iTunes store app via the iPad's multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open it, and/or try a soft-reset.
