Why can I not access my talktalk mail account on my iPad but can do so on my MacBook Pro?
When I try to access my talktalk account on either my iPad or iPhone I cannot get past the login, however I have no difficulty on my macbookpro. I am sure I was able to do so on my iPhone before I upgraded to os6 but I have only just purchased an iPad and it has os6 as well!
I am new to this site and could not see a way of updating the question without resorting to a reply. In order to avoid confusion my problem is not about setting up an email account on my ipad. It is that when I go onto the talktalk website I cannot get past the login. This happens on both my iPhone and iPad. Is there something in the settings that I could change to allow me to access my account on the web.

I have an older computer and can no longer update. After the latest Apple update I can no longer access my e-mail on my mac. I can view it on my iphone and on icloud. Is there a solution to this problem?
Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

I know my computer cannot play HD but why can I not purchase HD on my computer to play on my iPad which is capable.

1. Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM and SMC. Doesn't usually 'cure' keyboard problems you report, but it costs nothing and only takes a few minutes.

2. Try plugging in a USB keyboard. Doesn't absolutely have to be a Mac keyboard. A PC keyboard will work for a test. If the typing problem does not occur with the USB keyboard, you have a temporary solution until you can arrange to visit a repair facility.
3. If your MacBook is older and has a user-removable battery, shut down the computer, remove the battery, and examine it for signs of 'bulging' or swelling. Then connect the computer to the Magsafe power supply, without reinstalling the battery, and turn it back on. If the keyboard problem has gone away, it was likely caused by a swelling battery. -
Why can I not see shared applications on iTunes on a Mac but can on Itunes under Windows

1. I have a Mac Laptop, a Windows 7 laptop and an IPAD Air. I have an application on the IPad that shares files.
2. On both the Windows and Mac machines, I have the latest versions of ITunes installed.
3. With Image and IPhoto, I can browse the Documents directory of the shared application on the IPAD.
4. On the Windows Machine, on ITunes, under the Apps section, at the bottom of the screen, I can see the shared application and the shared Documents directory.
5. On my Mac Machine, on Itunes, under the Apps section, at the bottom of the screen, I can NOT see the same shared application on the IPAD that I see on the Windows machine.
6. In the upper right corner of Itunes on the MAC it does show "1 App" but I see no way to click on the app under ITunes and to browse the shared directory on the IPad
Any thoughts on what I have to do to make the Shared App show up on the Mac that shows up on the Windows machine in ITunes?Did you put your audiobooks on your computer?
They will only be where you put them. You need to copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer. -

What do I do?You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

My iPad mail is synced to my private email account, which I organise on my iMac. On iPad, I can only see inbox and sent messages folders, not any of the other folders in my email account I have created on my iMac. How do I get iPad to show my other folders? Probably a dumb question, but I know there's a lot of smart people out there.
If you select a mailbox, you should get an Edit button (easier to see in landscape mode). Clicking the button will provide you with check circles for the messages. You also get Delete and Move buttons at the bottom. Check the messages you want to move and then navigate to the mailbox you want to drop them into. I think as long as you can navigate to a mailbox you can move the messages to it.
In the Mac Mail application and probably Outlook on the Windows side, you also setup rules to move messages to specific mailboxes. If the mailboxes are stored on the server, then you can have the sorting done on the server and they should appear that way on the iPad. If your later messages do not show up, you may need to have the iPad app pulled down more messages until they are all showing. -

First, I'm assuming you and your wife use different iCloud accounts, since one account is generally intended for one user.
How many emails go missing? Are these from the @me.com/@mac.com addresses, or are you missing emails from other accounts, like google (gmail)? -

I've tried to watch a football game on an ipad and didn't arrive. I loaded the same site on my old macbook and had no problems at all. With the ipad however the video simply wouldn't load. When I tried to load the plugins they recommended I was told by Safara I weren't able to do so. How can I load the video on ipad? You have two different issues between your subject line and your message. I use the Yahoo mail app and it works nicely. Need more info about your "dinging" problem.

You don't know what push means.
Push means new messages received at the incoming mail server are pushed out by the incoming mail server without the email client being used to access the account having to check the account automatically or manually which is called fetch. An account can be checked automatically without having to open the Mail app which is not push.
Manual with the Mail app on an iOS device is not the same as manual with an email client on your computer.
If you launch the Mail app, all email accounts will be checked for new messages even when manual is selected for an account. If manual is selected for an account, it should not be checked for new messages until to launch the Mail app. -

Looks like you can archive icloud emails :
- go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- select the icloud account on the right-hand side of that screen
- tap Account (which should have your address next to it) at the top of the next screen
- tap Mail (under 'Advanced') on the popup
- tap Advanced at the bottom of the next popup
- and on the next screen there should be a 'Move Discarded Messages Into' setting
I didn't know that setting was there until you said that you had archive on your phone. -

Okay, it's simple than. The folders you've created are local folders which are not stored on the server.
In order to change that open Mail.app select Mailbox->New Mailbox and make sure you choose MobileMe at Location.
Now drag&drop your "On my Mac" mails into that new "MobileMe" folder. After a few min. they should be synced.
