Why can I not add contacts after ios5 upgrade? Calendar entries can not be added either!

Since the iOS5 upgrade both calendar and phone contact entries are not possible.

Well, I have found the solution in a german forum. Switching Contacts and Calendar "ON" under iCloud settings solves the problem and Contact and Calendar entries are possible again.
So it works now, but I am not sure why do I need to allow the "iClouding" of my Contacts and my Calendar to be able to manage them on my iPhone. Does anybody in this forum know the reason?

Having upgraded to iOS5, my iPhone 3GS will receive but will no longer send emails. The error message says that it cannot send mail because the recipient [named] was rejected by the server. This happens whether I am trying to reply to an incoming message or create one afresh. Help please.

Apple offers a ridiculous "solution" for a problem they created.
I recently switched from iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S5. It became clear shortly after activation that I was not receiving texts from other iPhone users.
After a quick search it became clear that the issue was with iMessage. That is, otheriPhone users were sending me texts via iMessage. While this problem appears to be widespread and my search revealed a class action lawsuit against Apple for this issue, there were no viable solutions.
In a nutshell, Apple support told me the ONLY fixes to this issues were to 1. Have all of my contacts delete our text thread and 2. Wait 45 days for iMessage to expire. This is outrageous and not a solution at all.

There is no plus on the Groups view page, but if you are on the contact list page the plus should be at the bottom, right side of the all contacts page. Not there?

@cstigall - Were you able to get your contacts reversed? Sometimes that happens when you share or are logged in to the wrong Apple ID as Gina suggested.

Hi Zak, thanks for the reply.
The filename is whatever is set to be the background fill of the site (I presume the desktop background fill, if mobile versions are set to be different). I've tried a number of different files, sizes and types/formats and the result is still the same, so as far as I can tell it's not the file itself causing the issue...
It uploads all pages (desktop, tablet and phone versions), .css files and .html files, and even the favicon .ico file but then hangs on the first image file, which incidentally is the background fill image.
The total number of files is said to be 154. It gets stuck on file number 24.
Yes the "Resume" dialog appears and upon clicking it just attempts to continue from the hang at the first image file (apparently 66% of the way through).
Re: the "BC site has changed" part - I thought as much but figured worth reporting.
... Incidentally, as I've written this reply, I left the "Resume" dialog open (ie neither clicking "resume" or "cancel" and just as I've finished typing it appears to have published the site successfully?!! (I must've left it for roughly 5 minutes)
Bizarre behaviour... I'm not sure if this will repeat itself with other sites but I'm sure there's a bug here that needs looking at regardless...?!

This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.' what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you mean by not working properly? Explain in detail.
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

You can't get rid of an alert. The least you can have is one that says "none".

It says I cloud total storage 5.0 GB available 5.0 GB so whats the problem?

iCloud storage is for backups. It is not associated with space on your phone. You cannot buy more space for your phone. Check what you have on your phone and delete what you don't use or seldom use to get more space on your phone.
