Why can I not deauthorize computers when I want to, rather when big brother apple lets me?
I know big borther apple wants to control my music, but why? I have either forgotten to deauthorize some old computers I got rid of, or had to re-format the ones I own. So why does big brother apple control when I can and cannot deauthorize my computers?
What are you talking about?
You can deauthhorize wheneever you like, however, you can only deauthorize all once per year.
If you need more than that then contact itunes support and ask.
No need to be so over dramatic.

Any ideas ?I'm afraid that once an address has been associated with an Apple ID you can't re-use it in any way. You will have to create another address (such as a free on from GMail or Yahoo for example).

Not an AppleTV problem as such.
Many app developers seem to block video airplay of content that you can watch in an app.
I can only assume this has something to do with rights issues for the movie/show.

It's also possible that your wireless printer will work with a minor OS tweak if you're on Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.x. Your Mac system must be on for printing to occur. (I haven't tested with Leopard 10.5.x or Lion 10.7.x)

I've been using it to print to a Canon MP560 wireless printer and an HP LaserJet 1320 USB-to-Mac printer from my wife's iPad 2 since the first day she received it for both photos and documents. Duplex printing to the Canon does not seem to be supported. -
Why can Adobe not deauthorize a reader?
I have spent 2 hours on the phone being passed between tech support and customer support and none of them undestands how Digital Editions and authorisation works - most people did not even know what the software was!
All I want is for Adobe to remove the details of a Sony Reader from my Adobe ID as I have sold it and the new owner needs to authorise it to his Adob ID.
I do not have the device now, he does. I did not know I had to deauthorise it before selling, as I never used DE after installing it. I only used free

How hard can this be? Surely if Adobe are implementing DRM then you must be able to manage it correctly? Why is there seemingly no knowledge of which depratment can handle de/authorisations?
How can I allow the new owner to use the device with DE to purchase online ebooks?

1.) You can only deactivate the Reader if you have the Reader. So you'll want to communicate to the person that bought it the following:
- Plug in Reader onto a Windows machine where they have Digital Editions authorized against their AdobeID (authorization/deauthorization of Sony Readers, currently only works on Windows)
- After noticing that the Reader is recognized, press "Ctrl-Shift-E" which will bring up the device deactivation dialog
- Following the deactivation, unplug and replug the Sony Reader and they should be present with the device activation dialog
2.) Adobe only offers support for Digital Editions via Web (click on the "Submit a web case" link). Calling tech support would be unhelpful, but they normally just tell you that up front, so it's suprising/upsetting that they bounced you around.

Why am I unable to send email when away from my home wifi ? I am able to receive mail OK, and have double- checked the outgoing server which is correct. This problem is consistent with my Macbook Pro, iPhone, and iPad2.
Attempts to send messages results in them sitting in the Outbox and never- ending 'sending message' displayed.
I am able to send using my me.com server.
Home service provider is Cogeco.

I set up my apple id so that i could download music from itunes, but when i try to buy a song, I get a message that says this account has not been used yet. I go through and review info, but still cannot buy the music and this keeps happening. What have I done wrong?
You set up email accounts on the iPad in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account. You have a choice of some of the most popular email providers in the setup list or you can select Other at the bottom.
Tap on the provider that is applicable and begin the setup on the iPad. -

You can only purchase from a particular country's App Store if you have a registered credit card in that country and if that credit card is tied to a physical address in that country. So unless you have a credit card in Spain registered to an address in Spain, you can't buy from their App Store.
If you meet the criteria and you need to change the store that you are currently in....
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store -

I'm trying to change my Apple ID from a @gmail.com to an info@ but keeping settings and content as before.
Is that possible? Am I allowed to use an info@ as Apple ID?If you are sure you have never used it for any Apple ID in the past my best guess is that Apple "knows" that "info" is a reserved *nix UID, along with others, such as "postmaster", "root", "abuse", etc. If it's your domain why don't you add a new email address just for your Apple ID. It's what I did with the server I manage.

put movies in itunes on one computer why does it not show up when i access itunes from other computers or ipad2?
i just purchased a file that had videos in it. i put them in the itunes library on my pc where i first downloaded them. i was able to transfer them to my other pc, a laptop, through my home network. i am now trying to get them on my mac pro desktop and my ipad2. my mac pro can see the other computers on my home network but i cannot get it to connect to them. i know the operating systems are different but was hoping i could transfer pictures and files from pc to mac this way. haven't been able to get it to work yet. the videos i am trying to get my mac to see came in a folder with both mac and pc versions. i thought if i got the videos i purchased into itunes that i would then be able to get them to my mac pro and my ipad2. i am new to mac/apple and have always been pc-centric so trying to marry it all has been difficult. i speak pc pretty well but am just learning apple. am i trying to do things that are not possible? i sure could use a knowledgable friendly soul to walk me through my issues of having pc and mac on the same network. i have been able to get all computers and ipad to print on my network. thanks.

Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get? Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).
I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

Why can I not attach a document to an email? Every time I want to send an email with a document attached to it, an error notice pops out. It tells me that the file is being used even when iall other programs are closed. How can I fix this issue?
Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document. -
Why can I not open a stated InDesign CS8.1 document when mine says it is InDesign CC version 9.1? I have creative cloud.
The version error messages are really screwed up and out of sync with the new naming (CC) system. CS8.1 would be CC2014 version 10.1
