Why can I not find the Rubber Stamp icon in Fireworks 8

Using Fireworks 8:
ok - fairly new to all this - but I am trying to clone pixels and am looking for the rubber stamp icon. My "Bitmap" menu has marquee, lasso, magic wand, brush, pencil, eraser, burn & red eye icons on it, and under "Assets" (under Image Editing tab) in the other toolbar I have red eye, crop, scale, blur, sharpen, dodge and burn icons. No rubber stamp icon to be found. I am trying to edit a .jpg file (photo). I have read that it only works on bitmap files so I have saved it as a .bmp but still no luck finding the rubber stamp icon. Where am I going wrong please?!

Panic not... it has only taken me all afternoon but there must have been a error as I have just reloaded the app and holding the mouse button down now produces a menu of options on the bitmap menu, so the user can toggles from one to the other.

Why can I not find the primary video setting in Bios so I can change it from integrated to PCIE?

I have purchased a new video card to add to my computer which has integrated graphics. When I installed the card I got a blank screen so I removed the card and restarted the computer and entered BIOS in an attempt to change it from integrated to PCIE the problem is I cannot find the option to make the change. I can select advanced chipset but there is no primary video option to select and as far as I can tell there is no option to switch it from integrated to PCIE.... I researched this heavily and am now resorting to this as I cannot find a way to get the video card to work. I have posted the options I have in my system's Bios below. Why can I not find the support forums??

I thought mozilla firefox was superior for a long time until today. It may still be the best browser but this website is unacceptable. I mean how do you expect people to find the support forums. The is no link, no nothing on the mozilla support home page. I mean all I wanted to do was go and find my question in the support forums, sure I can go to my profile and find my question from there, but i should be able to navigate to the forums and my question without having to go through the idiotic process you people have laid forth. Unless you guys can provide a reasonable explanation for your thinking then you really need to make a link to the support forums on at least the SUPPORT HOME PAGE. I mean for real it is the SUPPORT HOME PAGE after all, i cannot stress that enough.

On https://support.mozilla.org look at top for Contributor Tools in which it lists "Support Forum Home" among other things.
When you are on support.mozilla.org/questions you can click on "My contributions" near top. You may want to select All questions to make sure all of your posts are listed with most recent activity threads being listed first.

Why can i not find the ringtones tap

Need a little help please. I have downloaded some new ringtones from the apple store on my iphone but when i go to transfer them into the ringtones tab i can not seem to find it anywhere. I have looked in the "edit"/"preferences but there is no option for ringtones only tones. Any help appreciated

Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.

Why can't I find the track pad icon in my System Preferences?

I recently bought an Apple Touchpad from my local Apple store for an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, but upon trying to set it up like I have on other identical iMacs, I find that there's no icon in the Systerm Preferences Folder for the touch pad. Where did it go and how can I restore it to set the parameters of the touchpad? Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Have you paired the trackpad, and is it working? You have to do that before the Trackpad preference pane will appear.

It took about 25 minutes for my new iPad to actually see my home shared library...Got to "Music app" — It is under the "more" button, look for "shared" house icon... If this doesn't show up (as you mentioned) try restarting your modem (internet router). Obviously you have to use the same Apple ID and password on all your shared devices.. It's a shame that the SHARED button isn't it's own app on the main screen of the iPad... seems like a no brainer, huh APPLE? WHy should we have to dig for the darn thing?

Thanks, that makes sense. If I do a search in IPhoto I find it. I have 6 grand children and also have had my camera for quite awhile and it starts file names over again after 10,000 pictures. (I don't have all these on the computer) but now I have some files with the same name ie img_4 and img_4

Under About, what version do you have? The Software Update option in Settings was not introduced until iOS 5.0.

It’s sometimes necessary to convert to sRGB for some applications ( internet, some beamers in clubs,…).
I convert them but afterwards it is nice to have the possibility to check this out and should be possible in lightroom, the info is present why not showing it ( it is not so easy to go in finder and look at it in info for every image)?
Since I’m always working in Adobe profile for printing and so this is important to know !

The disconnect here is many (including me) don't reimport rendered JPEGs
into our Lightroom Catalogs. Why you are doing that is beyond me. You
have the original and can recreate any rendered file at any time.
Storing the derivative JPEGs is redundant, creates additional confusion
and serves little real purpose. Exported versions are considered
discarable by many.
Yes, understand what you're meaning. but the fact is that I started rather recently with lightroom. So my images where classified in directory's and subdirectory's...already.
I think that this is the major problem. This is always a problem when you step in a new system.
Let's say I am going to submit to a photographic society, I have an Export
preset created that exports to proper size and color space for
projection. It creates a file. I send it to the club. Then I delete it.
Why save it? I can recreate it. Then I don't have to manage it, search
for it, or worse yet, risk confusion with my original file or othe
resultant derivatives.
The fact that I like to keep them is
indeed an inborn result of the "pré-lightroom period". A bad habitude
indeed. I'm thinking now of deleting them, will maybe better. On the other side
I still have them just for me in order to know which ones I used and when.
Another bad habitude.
But
since I'm not a professional photographer I'm mostly confronted with the time
issue and it is for me easier to take existing files ready for use...

Today place for jpeg's is rather easy since the Gb's are almost free...
Same is true of a client photo. They want an 8x10. I go to the retouched
original, create a JPEG from an 8x10 preset in the proper dimensions and color space. Send it to the lab. Then, I can delete it.
One of the strengths of Lightroom is that it creates many fewer
intermediate file versions along the way toward final creation. Another
strength is that you can save (via snapshots in Develop) your
derivatives, export, and discard them without having to create, import
and manage additional files on disk. In the old days of just Photoshop
you might end up with a dozen or more files on your disk for every
worked file. With Lightroom, you only need one or two.
Will look deeper in your proposed workflow...and yes I'm comming from the old days.
That said, if you want to keep the derivatives for purposes down the road,
that is up to you but I don't understand why they need to be inserted
into your catalog.
Since my catalog is made in the time
from before lightroom I’m still having all these directory's and
subdirectory's...
Easier
for me since even with back-ups of the catalogue still afraid for crashes. And
I keep liking these directory structure because for the moment it's lighrtroom
and tomorrow it can be another program, you never know. It's like a website, "on line versoin only", big problem when a firm at some moment stop to provide this possibility.
I think I will try to go deeper in "how to use lightroom better..."

After Updating Creative Cloud I Can Now Not Find The App On My Computer?

Hi, I was prompted yesterday to update my creative cloud app... so I did and I can now not find the applications anywhere on my desktop. So I then went onto my online account and it is even saying in there that I have no apps installed! any ideas as to why this has happened and what I can do to resolve this? thank you.

did you check for the executable files, not just the shortcuts?
if the executables are missing and the desktop app says they're up-to-date, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed
