Why can I not get the Web Icon for some of my saved Bookmarks

Many of my saved Bookmarks have their correct Web Icons.
However many fail to save their Web Icon leaving the Icon blank.
The Web Sites in question do have specific Web Icons.
I have tried deleting the Bookmarks in question and saving them again without success.
Why can I not get these icons to be saved in the Bookmarks?

No problem here with that TalkTalk website, the favicon image saves immediately when I save it as a bookmark. It uses a conventional favicon.ico image in the root directory <br />

With Barcalays iBank I can't figure out where the website image in the Location bar is being loaded from.
With Barclaycard, the favicon saves with the new bookmark, even though that image is in a non-standard location. <br/>

why can I not get the normal firefox start page I had with my old computer (operating XP) instead of the "your all-in-one page" I have now I have moved onto windows 7

Why do I not get the checkout option for a pdf type document when clicking on the document link in the SharePoint workflow task?

We are trying to use workflows to review and edit pdf files in sharepoint 2010. We are having a couple of issues and am hoping someone has the answer.....
1) When myself and coworkers click on the pdf document in the library, we get the check out option as expected. However when we click on the document
link in a workflow task (on the sharepoint site), the pdf opens as a temporary file and we do not get the check out option. Why does this happen?????
2) The same thing happens when we click on the document link in the workflow task email; HOWEVER, one of our co-workers does get the
check out option when clicking on the link in the email task. Why would she get the checkout option using the email and not when clicking on the link in the task list on the sharepoint site ???? We have compared our internet settings and adobe
settings to ours and found no differences.
We are using Sharepoint 2010, Windows 7, IE8, Adobe Reader X or XI. Some of us have Adobe Pro X and have the same issues.

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not get the checkout option for a pdf type document when clicking on the document link in the SharePoint workflow task.
I try to reproduce the issue, however, no matter when I click the pdf type document in the library or click on the pdf document link in the workflow task email, it download the pdf doucment and then I can open it.
It will be better if you can descript how you
get the check out option as expected when you click on the pdf document in the library.
Then I upload a
word type document to the library, no matter when I click the word type document in the library or click on the word document link in the workflow task email, I can open the word document directly and get the check out option as expected.
I recommend to use the other type docuemts to check whether the check out option works.

Why can I not get the most updated version of a web page? I have cleared cookies and history.

I am trying to access our soccer club website and was informed by the club president that the website was updated, however, when I try to open it, I get the old version with last year's information. I have cleared cookies and history. Any ideas?

Have you tried a different web browser, if you have one, to see if the site loads correctly?
You could choose to run Safari, Firefox, SeaMonkey, or maybe another (avoid chrome)
and have a few options in how some pages load, or be able to choose if some sites
prefer a different browser. My macs all have at least three browsers. Some are dedicated.
PS: did they confirm the site is still using the same URL web address?
Hopefully you can get the sites you need to visit, to work.

Why can I not get the Safari to open?

I just installed iOS8. When I tap the Safari icon I receive an answer that the server is not enabled. How come?

Force close an app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.

I have a 3g ipod touch and bought a TV adaptor so as to view the iTunes festival on my TV - Why can I not get the video ? all I get is sound - any thoughts ?

I bought a TV adaptor and docking pod for my iPod touch 3g so as to watch the iTunes festival as my pc will not stream properly. I cannot however get the video all I get is the sound -Any Thoughts would be welcomed.

I have the Apple MB128ZA/B Adaptor and the Apple Universal Dock.
My settings read TV SIgnal - PAL
With other videos already on my iPod the video and sound works so I assumed that the iTunes festival stream was probably not compatible but if I am wrong I would be pleased to know.

Why can't I get the text labels for each app to go away? I only see 9 app buttons now; used to see 30 or 40

Text labels started showing up next to my app buttons going across toolbar. Because the names are fairly long (I don't need them per se); I can now only see about 10 buttons. I made sure the the box in the toolbar preferences menu which says "show text labels for each app." was unchecked. I even tried checking it, then unchecking it.
I can't get the labels to go away. I used to be able to see and therefore USE EASILY about 30 -40 app buttons. I just downloaded the latest update to firefox 8.

It seems like it can't find the trigger point tstaff. It is looking for:
ds_match: Searching for tstaff,automountMapName=auto.foo,dc=example,dc=edu
which isn't what the DN is in ldap:
Distinguished Name: automountKey=tstaff,automountMapName=auto.foo,dc=example,dc=edu
any thoughts?

Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.

Why can I not get my flashdrive icon to change?

I recently purchased a refurbished iMac from work (I am a graphic artist so this was one of the old computer I worked on until we received new ones). I am trying to change the icon that represents my flashdrive and it is being very subborn. I have followed all the instructions possible via Google and YouTube to go into "Get Info" and copy & paste the icon over that of the flashdrive, but all I see now is the default preview icon that just says the file type (i.e. .png, .ico, .icns, etc.). Even when I choose "Get Info" on the icon, the icon is not that top icon, the default preview is. Below is the icon I am refering to.
I cannot find any help via the internet and I cannot even change the icons back to their original state... I find this incredibly frustrating and annoying. Can anyone provide me with some information/insite on this and a possible way to fix the icon?

I am not understanding how to copy the icon from Preview... I open the graphic and click "Edit - Copy" then click on the icon I want to swap it out with in "Get Info" and click "Edit - Paste" and nothing happens. I cannot use keyboard shortcuts as I do not have an Apple keyboard at the moment.

I have an iPhone 5 but just got an iPad air for Christmas. I didn't realize I set my iPad up under another Apple ID until my phone was not syncing with my iPad so I erased all content and reset the device to put them both on the same Apple ID. The problem I'm having now is the apps that are supposed to be free like iPhoto and iMovie are saying I have to pay 4.99 for them how do I fix this problem. Cause I did have them installed when I had it set up under the other Apple ID name :(

Why can I not get the NHL Game Center Premium to see live national games?

I am a Verizon Wireless customer with an iPhone 6, have the NHL app, and the NHL GameCenter Live subscription. However, it will not show live nationally televised games due to blackout. Verizon and the NHL both advertise that 4G Wireless devices may upgrade (for free) to NHL GameCenter Premium to have access to live national games.
I cannot find where or how to upgrade to the Premium option in the Apple App Store, or within the NHL App.
Can anyone clarify where I can go to find this?

On my i pad mine when messaging the green widget will not activate so I can only do i messaging which means my non apple friends are not contatctable.
