Why can I not sign in?

Downloaded elements 13 as a quick and easy way to edit my holiday snaps before I leave for military training on Monday. Successfully installed on computer but asks for sign in in order to use. Repeatedly coming up with error mesage insisting that I am not connected to internet and/or that the time on my computer is wrong. Both absolutely false, I currently have a product I cannot use. Suggestions?

You stated earlier that you had already deleted the "madrid" .plist with no effect.
Can I check you did this with the app closed down or at least restarted the app straight afterwards ?
If you did that close the app if open and access the ~/Library/Preferences folder again.
This time delete com.apple.imessage.bag.plist
This item stores the Apple server used for your Login to the iMessages server and contains a date/time reference.
Restarting the app after deleting this file will make it reconnect with the iMessages servers in a fresh manner which my solve things.
It may sort out any date/time issues with the stored date.
Messages is one of the app that Apple have "Sandboxed".
This means that some of it's operations are held away from other apps to prevent one app bringing down several others.
This is turn means that the route or path used by the app to Read and Write to the various .plists is different to the direct placing in ~/Library/Preferences.
The Path is ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Preferences
Mostly the items in here are then Aliases that point to the actual originals in ~/Library/Preferences. However there are exceptions.
You can copy and paste the Path above in to the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder dialogue box to access this folder.
Once there use the Finder's View Menu > Show Path Bar.
This adds a collection of folders across the bottom of the Finder window.
Right click on the Preferences folder at the right hand list of the Path.
Chose the Get Info option.
In the Info panel scroll to the Bottom.
Your Shortname should appear (with (Me) as well) and you should have Read and Write Permissions
If you highlight this and then use the Cogwheel type iCon it should reveal you shortname again but in Greyed out form which mean you Own the File/folder
Repeat this for each containing folder until the Library item on the left (you don't need to do the Little House icon one)
You should have Read an Write Permissions and Own all of them.

Because your contacts aren't actually "stored" on your computer. They are stored on the iCloud server and your computer subscribes to them whilst logged in.
Why do you need to log out of iCloud anyway? You need to remain logged in to use any of it.

Responses can only be as helpful as the details given. A single vauge sentense does not provide much to go on. What are you signing into? The WiFi setup, home sharing, photo stream, Netflix, they all use a differnt Id and only a few of them are the Apple ID. You do not sign in to anything to get into the AppleTV. It is open by default. You only have to provide a sign in for the services you want AppleTV to connect to.

When you sign up for iCloud you are automatically signed out of MobileMe. All you need to do is go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and sign back in to MMe. There's no need to sign out of iCloud.
Don't forget that MMe will be discontinued on June 30, 2012 so be making plans to host your site on an alternative hosting server.

you will see a new window
3) type "netsh winsock reset"
4) restart the machine
should work.
If still does not work you must disable the firewall and antivirus

I have tried to log in to get a Galley widget through Adobe exchange and im getting very frustrated it keeps giving me this " The login attempt timed out. I've checked your account, and see no issues with your subscription. So, if you're using a web browser, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com. And, if you're using Reader, make sure that you're logged in—you should see your name listed in the upper-right corner. If not, click the Sign In link and then sign in with your user name and password.

What I found out after I purchased iPad was I needed to down load "Flash Player," and The Apple Company does not allow us, the iPad user to down load "flash Player." So, in a way, I just wasted closed to $800 .00. for something I can't check my own banking account? And I found out that there are a lot of website that requires "flash Player" to be able to either log in or sign in. What's going on & why can't I sign in to my own banking account?

There are some apps in the app store like iswifter it's free but you need to purcase full version for 5$. You can also jailbreak and get tweak that runs flash in safari. Probably the best way (if you have a lot of money) is on live desktop plus (also 5 $ per month I think.
