Why can i not sync contacts or even add them manually to my iphone 4
i had a iphone 3gs now i have an iphone 4 the phone will not let me sync anything from my i tunes, or contacts etc. please help x
It should not matter if I am using Windows 7 or 8 for this issue--- I simply need to know how to sync contacts to my computer--- in the past I could edit contacts from itunes-- there was a tab---- now when I connect my phone, itunes comes up-- mosty of the time when clicking on iphone tab it just goes away--- when I do get to iphone page, there is nothing about contacts--- only music and video tabs show up-- I don't give a **** about those things-- I need my contact list to sync with other devices plain and simple--- there is not ONE song on my phone--- I use my satellite radio for that!!!!!!!

You can sync via icloud. You cannot sync contacts via the cable.

Why can I not sync all of my songs on my itouch.. Previously had over 4800 songs on itouch after a factory reset and new sync of the same unaltered files the itouch will only hold 2800 songs before it runs out of space.. Again same songs/files. any one got a clue?
Before you restored it, did you check that box on the sync screen that downconverts the songs to a slower bitrate? That's the only thing that I can think of other than you adding more of other things (apps, pictures, videos, etc.) this time around but not the last time

I upgraded my computer, so I had to reinstall iTunes... I don't understand why I cannot just simply sync the music off of my iPod Touch that I didn't buy with iTunes to my library... The only music that is syncing is the music that I bought through iTunes... WHY CAN"T IT JUST BE SIMPLE?! (I don't have a backup of it..)

I'm trying to put videos on my iPad from my computer and it says that my iPad will not sync because my iPad does not accept the software, but my boyfriend has the iPad 2 and he was able to put the videos from the Mac computer on to his ipad2
I've just been given the best advice - transfer the clip to i Movie and then export to i Tunes.
I think being this simple, it should be explained by Mac support.

HT1414 Why does the step 2 in syncing my iphone to itunes is not working? Why can it not sync?
Im trying to sync my iphone to itunes so i can put music in my phone. However, it only goes to step 2 in sync.I want to know why is this happening and what i can do to fix it because i want music on my phone. Then i also tried sending it through bluetooth form my other phone. Nokia N97. So i want to know what to do.PS my phone has no external memory. Hope someone can help me.
You can't send it by BT. I assume step to is the Backup step when you sync. If that's where the sync is stopping, assuming you have Windows, try this:
Assuming you have Windows:
Quit iTunes.
Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu>All Programs>Accessories>right-click "Command Prompt">choose "Run as Administrator")
Once in the command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset" (with our the quotes) and press ENTER.
Reboot your computer.
Restart iTunes.
Connect your phone and try syncing again.
If this doesn't fix it you probably have a corrupt iPhone backup from a previous sync that must be deleted. To do this open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab you will see a list of your backups. Click each backup and click Delete Backup. Then connect your phone and try syncing again. -
HT1386 Why can I not sync my music library with my iPhone4s?
It has synced all my contracts/apps/ect but not my music. I have made sure that the music section is "checked" before applying and syncing but thus it still does not download them. I have even tried unistalling and reinstalling itunes. PLEASE HELP!
Have you actually chosen some songs? Checking the box at the top doesn't automatically cause your tracks to sync, you have to choose some first.

My fiance and I share our home laptop, he is awaiting his new Mac arrival. During this time I have sold my old laptop and used this one, Toshiba Qosmio. When i plug my iphone 4 into iTunes and try to sync the music, it prompts a window that says if i sync music his, from his iphone 4s will override mine and erase my music. Isn't there a way I can have 2 seperate accounts or just delete his, as he is getting a new one? I have tried uninstalling although it still comes up to his account. TERRIBLY FRUSTRATED!!!! I am new to the iphone, as we were Droid users prior to this. Thank you for any help

It seems like that you have bought the upgrade version of Adobe Presenter 10. In order to purchase upgrade version you need to have previous version of Adobe Presenter. Why can I not sync my iPod Classic?!
When trying to sync my iPod classic iTunes says it cannot be synced because "the required folder cannot be found". I have a PC and I have no problems syncing my iPhone 5c and iPad 3. Is there anyway I can fix this?
You may want to check ur settings. when you plug in ur ipod make sure it is highlighted then at the top of the page you will see tabs Summary Music Podcast Info....click on the MUSIC tab...in that box there will be 2 options:
Sync Music
Entire Music Library
Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF ENTIRE MUSIC LIBRARY

Why can I not sync my iPod Nano 3rd Gen to my iTunes 9.1.1?
My daughter mistakenly downloaded the latest iTunes version which does not work with my older iPod Nano 3rd gen. Before all this happened I was running version 9.1.1 which was working beautifully. After uninstalling the updated version and reinstalling the 9.1.1 version, I cannot restore nor sync my music to the iPod Nano. I would just be happy having things the way they were previously. Any tips??? Thanks.
Go to the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select 'About this Mac' - it will show you which version of OSX you are using.

help needed quickly!!!Those errors both mean that the USB connection was lost. It could be a driver problem in your computer. It could also be that you are using a hub rather than a direct connection to a USB port on the computer. If your computer is a desktop or tower use a port on the back rather than the front, as front ports are frequently an internal hub. It could also be a bad cable.
Other things to try are to disconnect all USB devices that use power, such as external drives (keyboard and mouse are OK).
