Why can i not update to the new version of iPhoto and Garageband through the appstore?
When trying to update, I keep getting the pop-up:
"We could not complete your request
There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)".
How can I update to the new version?
Im running on the OS X Lion 10.7.4 system for Macbook Pro I have the Version 9.2 of iPhoto and 6.0.4 of Garageband. If that's of any assistance.

I think iLife is being updated from MAS now, thus the need for a AppleID to update it.
One person had iLife and tried to update with a differnent AppleID and it rejected it, seems they bought a open box machine and iLife was installed using another AppleID for display purposes.
When one reinstalls Lion, and has to install iLife, they have to go to MAS to do it.

If you reinstall Lion on a new Mac that shipped with OS X Lion installed, on an erased or replaced hard drive, you can download iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand from the Mac App Store.
After installation, start from Lion.
Double-click the App Store icon in the dock.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases.
If you haven't previously accepted your bundled iLife applications within the Mac App Store, you should see your iLife applications appear in the Accept portion of the screen. Click Accept.
You may be asked for your Apple ID and password once again. Your iLife applications now move to the Purchased section. These applications are part of the software that came with your Lion based computer. Your account will not be charged for them. Click Install to compete installation of your applications.

You can force quit by holding the power button down for extended period.
During boot up hold down the Option key and choose your Macintosh HD OSX.

Got exact same problem, was told to delete all old apple, quick time and bonjoir from computer then it would work. I use a programme called malware bytes and this takes everthing out of your computer right down to the roots but unfortunately I still have same problem

You need to ask Apple for assistance with getting back into your old ID. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to resolve this issue through the Account Security team, fill out and submit this form.

Open App Store > Purchases, and see if iPhoto app is listed. If not, unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928 Apart from that, check that iPhoto is in Applications folder. If not, put it in this folder.

I downloaded the new version of Mozilla and tried to install an add-on to allow me to set the home page for new tabs. The app says it has downloaded but does not open new tabs as my home page (google) - any suggestions what I can do?
I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

''free'' CC. Am I reading this right. _ ? I am no idiot, but yes, in the

mechanic to get my car fixed, you?

I\m trying to upgrade my PS, ID and Illustrator CS6 / and I know from
previous Adobe guidance, one should not just take the latest. I seem to be
successful with my ID (but yet to prove when I test it, which I haven't had
time to yet) BUT my PS and Ill come up with this (see attached file).

I am getting a message that my iphoto library cannot be opened because I mades changes to my photos in a newer version of iphoto and I need to quit and use the newest version of iPhoto. but in update, it says i have no updates. i dont even remember making changes in iphoto.Help. thanks.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

In addition to the numerous code errors mentioned by Jim, you're making a huge mistake with Flash navigation. It's deadly for site visitors who don't have Flash supporting devices. How will people navigate your site? I would rebuild your 5-page site from the ground up with HTML5, CSS and ditch all those old school tables.

No it will not.
The music is yours on your drive, only you, or malware or a drive crash, can delete that data.
pLeAsE make backups of your valuable data.
Apple makes it's easy in iTunes, File > Library > Backup to Disk Feed it DVD-R's label and data, or use a external drive.
Apple doesn't reinssue downloads. The music is yours you bought it.
