Why can not load the Linux System?
I want to install Linux as the second OS on my notebook.I downloaded the Fedora8 software on the C: partition and decompressed it on the C: partition too. Then I copied and decompressed the file "isolinux " on the D: partition.
I installed the software "grub4dos" and made some changes in the document: \boot\grub\menu.lst. When I restart the computer and choose the Fedora8 from the loader menu, the Linux installation process can not be started and show the follow message:"Because follow document is lost,you can not start Windows:<Winder root>\system32\hal.dll. please copy it on."
What is the reason?

I suppose it caused by grub4dos utility. Could you try using WinGrub?

This is solved i removed <?xml version="1.0" ?> from top and buttom
then it worked fine.

I check the host file and this is correctCheck Apache log files (error_log* and access_log* under $LOG_HOME/ora/10.1.3/Apache directory).
Also, run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.

My problem is a sudden loss of ability to get to PSE12 Organizer when I tried to load a saved scan. Had been using the Organizer and the Editor with no problems for several hours just before that.
Can not load the Organizer from the icon at the bottom of Editor screen, from the icon on the MacBook Air dock (OS 10.10.2), nor from the file in applications located with Finder.
I have tried without success to access Organizer after turning off and on the scanner, turning off and on the computer, loading a fresh copy of PSE12 from the CD, and restoring default preferences. I have searched on line for other options but not found any.

The hostp is physically connect with hosts with a router. Both are RHEL5.0 OS. I copied some files from hostp to hosts successfully a few days ago. But it not work today. The SSH is disabled on both hosts.

I have an Creative Xi-FI platnium and no matter what I try I can NOT load this sound font.. I can load it into Vienna soundfont manager.. I have tried adjusting the cache level (I have 2 GB of RAM BTW in my system), I keep getting an error can not load. Please HELP!!! I even tried the registry edit.. It did not help one bit.. appears its an issue with the program! What should I do?

My laptop died. The hard drive is in a case and accessible. It is connected to a 10 year old Pentium. How can I retrieve the bookmarks file from the Laptops drive when I can not load Firefox from that drive? I.e., I can not get to the library on the Laptop drive. I do have full access to it.
You can locate main bookmarks file, '''places.sqlite''', for restoration in another Firefox install, in your profile directory.
Since you profile is on another hard drive, the normal shortcuts to find it won't work.
On Windows XP, you can find the profile here:
''C:''\Documents and Settings\''Windows login/user name''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\''xxxxxxxx.default''
Where:
* C:\ is replaced by the drive letter you mounted the laptop drive on.
* Windows login/username is replaced with your windows user name you used on that hard drive.
* xxxxxxxx.default is replaced with 8 random characters followed by .default, and should be the only folder in Profiles.
Once you've found the old profile, you can copy files over to a new profile. See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile and [[Recovering important data from an old profile]] for other files you may want to restore. -

What happens when you open a new tab for instance use Keyboard shortcut Ctrl +T does that open a new tab that you can see. Please attach a screenshot of your ordinary Firefox page e.g. open on this forum. And a screenshot of the Group Your tabs view.

Can not load the Database Home page
I have installed the database on a XP sp2 computer. After the installation is complete I try to open the database home page using the short cut created by the installation program and I receive an error from in I.E. The page can not be displayed. I tried to connect using the Run SQL command line by typing "connect system/password (My system password create in the installation)" and I receive another set of errors:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not existHi,
did the installation complete without errors?
Check the logfiles for "ORA-" messages:

What about the user accounts you used for the install?
Was the install user a local admin user on your machine?
What does the command net localgroup ORA_DBA say?
Is the user you are trying to connect to the XE db a member of this local group?
