why is Apple restricting the wY I use my phone that I paid over $800 for ???? If I want to talk text and use the Internet at anytime without wifi I should that's ******** that you restruct the phones like that but you don't restrict the price. T-Mobile phones can talk and yes data they have the worst service out there

You just inadvertently answered your own question.
It depends on the carrier.
I'm in Mexico and our biggest carrier, Telcel, has no problem letting me do 4G/LTE stuff while talking.

I am having a problem using my data during a phone call. It only seems to happen when I have 3g and not with 4g. I can have very strong 3g and as soon as I make a call my data will drop and just show bars on my status bar. I can no long surf the net. If I only have one bar on 4g it will let me surf and talk at the same time. Any thought about what could be going on or anyone else having these issues?

I use to beable to talk and surf with only 3g on my boinic, razr, and galaxy. I usually only get 3g in
side my house but 4g when I go outside. I never had a promblem with surfing with 3g before while I was inside my house.

I still can't be on a phone call and use data without wifi on my Droid Turbo. I thought this was going to be fixed by late November.

I am so disappointed. I am a long time Droid user and research the Droid Turbo for several months before purchasing. I even read the reviews that indicated that there was a issue when attempting to use the phone calling feature and data at the same time. I called Verizon and talked with a rep. who indicated that he had the new phone and assured me that this issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, when I received the phone this was not the case. Even an update shortly after purchase still did not fix this issue. All of my Droids before this did not have this issue...how can a newer more improved phone? I even called Motorola and the English of the representative was so bad that I could not overcome the language barrier therefore no solution was reached. Wish I had my Razr HD back :{

I can understand the concern CCONLEY. Go to Settings>Advanced Calling> and select Activate Advanced Calling or contact Customer Service to get the features added. Once added Reboot device and go back to Setting>Advanced Calling>and ensure the Advanced Calling switch is set to On. Ensure you are in a 4G LTE service area and test again. What happens when you try to buy an app, does the 'buy' button not work, do you a message about your billing info, an error message about something else ... ?

Why can't we talk and surf the internet at the same time on the iPhone?

I fell that apple will always have loyal customers but somethings need to change. the ablity to surf the web while in a phone coversation should definitely be a feature that comes automatic with iPhone and it doesnt.

Other phones allow me to do this..........what is happening here?

As stevejobsfan said. But also if your profile is correct and you are running system 10.7 on your iMac, you will not have much portability between the two either. Think of them as 2 different programs that just happen to have the same name.
OS 10.9 Mavericks' version of Pages has greater compatibility with the app version of it. But there are a lot of consequences to moving to Mavericks which should not be done lightly. Read around a bit on it before making any decision to upgrade.

Can't make or receive calls but can text and use data

I have had signal problems since I have got this phone which is an s4 my wife s3 mini gets better signal while at the same location. Tried everything customer service doesn't know and now I can't even make or receive a call. I can though send and receive text and use data but when I try to make a call it just says dialing then quits. Anyone trying to call says it will ring until voicemail but I never got the call. Can anyone help

Yikes! I want you to be able to make phone calls on your cell phone! I would recommend what others have stated on here as well. Remove the sim card for a good 30 seconds while the phone is off. Then try to make the phone call again. Have you ever replaced the sim card on your device before? I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.

My phone doesn't have any cellular phone functions...but it CAN send text messages and access data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, the last two have this problem and the first stopped working all together. I've had new sim cards put in, ive done hard resets on the phone, i've rebooted the phone, done battery pulls, and tech support has reset the signal to my phone. Nothing has worked. (I just "upgraded" <- lol.... and my old phone IS turned off.)

Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

Usually effects packages are AU plugins that would have no effect on track selection. Interfaces should have no control over what kind of track you can select. I really think something else is going on her maybe something you overlooked.
Did you choose the input channel in the track info pane. Try both channel 1 mono or channel 2 mono. Make sure the track is record enabled.

Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes - Apple Support - link doesn't state that voicemail is part of the backup
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview states that VVM is part of the icloud backup.
You can also contact your cell phone provider - as voicemail is a carrier feature.

OK, Why can't Tiger talk to Leopard?

Well, since there are about a million threads titled "problem" I thought I'd be more specific. Here's the deal, I'm using a MacBook Pro, with OSX 10.4.11 & iChat 3.1.9. I use my iChat all the time to talk to my father across the country with narry a hitch. Now, suddenly I can't talk to him on his new MacBook running Leopard. I can still link up fine to his Tiger machine 3 feet away from the MacBook, however. Both machines are using his wireless network so the only difference is OSX 5.
To confirm this, I called up a buddy with a spanking new MacBook Pro & tried to contact him with the same results. Almost as soon as he accepts the chat request, I get one of those massive error messages. So the problem seems to be talking from Tiger to Leopard or back (he gets the same message when he tries to contact me).
Others on this board seem to be having the same problem, but so far I haven't seen a solution that works.
So what's the deal? Why can't my never-failed-before machine talk to brand-spanking-new ones?

I have not found any article that has answered this question. They have come up with things like open the side bar and it will work, or you are using wrong format of music. Now this all happened when I upgraded to iTunes 10 and has not worked since and it worked fine before. Music format is correct, I have even gone as far as copying a file already in iTunes and trying to add it again. As soon as the files enters the frame of iTunes the music files icon the pointer is carrying turns into a circle with a slash through it.
ITunes Ver. is 11.1.5.5 Windows Ver. is Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center
Files I have tried adding are standard MP3, 256 kbps purchased AAC Audio file, MP3 converted by iTunes into a 256 or 320 kbps AAC Audio file. None can be draged and droped but all can added by going to File/Add File to Library... or File/Add Folder to Library...

1. Drag a file or folder from the desktop to the iTunes window.If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.
2. In iTunes, choose File > Add to Library, locate a file or folder, and click Open.
I can add files and folders by doing number 2 above but can not doing number 1
I have gone as far as uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling per apple procedures below.
Steps
1. Remove iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended effects.

I had this problem on Windows 8.1.1 and iTunes 11.2.2.3
To resolve it from within Itunes I did : Edit, Preferences, Sharing.
I took the tick out of "Share my library on my local network"
Click OK.
Closed iTunes/
Reopened iTunes and I can drag and drop.
I went back into Edit, Preferences, Sharing and put the tick back and clicked OK.
Works fine now.
