Why can't Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10 convert Overture 4 sheet music to pdf's

PDF conversion is offered in the tool bar of Overture 4 music software, but jams 90% of the time one tries to print to pdf in Windows 7.

I manage 30,000 workstations with Acrobat X,  we see the same problem printing to pdf from Internet Explorer 11 (on some web pages).  Reinstalling and updating to 10.1.9 works fine.. updating to 10.1.10 breaks it again.  I believe that the 10.1.10 update introduced a new bug.
I am following this thread, please post any resolution you receive!
Thanks!

  • Can Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro Convert File Hyperlink From Word to PDF?

Is there any method to convert file link (eg. C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My Documents\xx.xls) from Word 2000? I have read many related issues, but seems cannot get the final answer. Many of them only mention about URL hyperlink (eg. www.yahoo.com). Can anyone help?

Do you mean that  Office XP and later version can automatically convert the file link? No need to manually create the link in Acrobat using the link tool?
I will work this out to see whether ok or not.
By the way, thank you, Michael Kazlow.

Now that I know you are talking about Cloud (not the focus of this forum -- a forum on Acrobat that does provide the icons and the reason for wondering what you were talking about). The Creative Cloud that I have does include the icons on the desktop. However, I am not familiar with the cloud service other than CC. If it is some other product, then exactly what is the product name. As far as CC, I get the icons on my desktop, so I am not sure what your problem might be.
If you did not like the tone, I am sorry, But I honestly had no clue what you were talking about because you only said that Adobe icons were not coming up. You provided no information on the product or operating system that are fundamental to providing help. Adobe (the company name) has about 150 forums dealing with different products probably numbering close to 100. So saying no Adobe icons was meaningless to me and thus the question. I was trying to get information to help you. If you took it as an insult, I am sorry.

  • Why can't Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 Time remap Audio and Video together?

In case you didn't notice, my question is WHY.  I don't know why Premiere Pro can't do this.  From what I understand at the moment, the only way to time-remap audio in any way shape or form using Adobe software is through Adobe After Effects, which my computer has absolutely no chance of running ever.  I know how to do regular stretching of audio in both Audition and Premiere Pro, but apparently I can't time-remap audio using either of these programs.
So why can't Adobe Premiere Pro time remap audio along with the video?  What's the reason that it can't?  It's a massive disappointment and would be very impressive to see accomplished in the future.  If it's possible to time remap audio and video together in After Effects, that's great and all, except for the fact that I can't use that program.  Why can't it be done in Premiere Pro and will it ever be possible in Premiere Pro?
Also, will time remapping audio become possible in Audition someday?

  • Why can't Adobe continue to support and create updates.....

Why can't Adobe continue to support and create updates for MAC G5 OS X Tiger?
I'm sure I'm not the ONLY owner and operator of this MAC machine. I'm finding it
VERY frustrating how your comany, JAVA and Apple of just written this machine off.
You know, MAYBE I'd be more understanding if this MAC product or ALL MAC
products weren't so reliable. However, like many MAC users out there
there's NOTHING wrong with my machine or my current programs OTHER than the
simple fact I can no longer update Flash player or Java... all because
my machine is no longer supported.
WHY can't updates continue to be made? This way,ALL consumers are happy:
those who feel it wasteful economically and ecologically to
replace a computer with a NEW computer, and those who just like to have the latest
    and greatest tech toys.

You can - click on the "Actions" link at bottom left of the post.
As to the rest - nobody seems to like this forum, and what you're saying has been said on numerous occasions already.
It's Adobe's fault for "buying in" this forum (sorry - "Social Business"  ) service, but it's Jive's fault for producing such a crappy solution in the first place.

  • I need to find out HOW I can download Adobe Acrobat 10.

I have my serial number, where the product is registered to me through Adobe, but I cannot find the software.
How can I download the product now?
    I need Adobe Acrobat 10
    Thanks!

I think it must have originally come installed on my Dell computer.  I don't remember actually seeing an install disk.  But I registered it with Adobe, and they show my serial number.  I was just trying to avoid having to buy the program again, because I have changed computers, and the new computer doesn't have Acrobat on it.
    Thanks for all your help!

  • Why is installation so complicated?  Why can't Adobe and Microsoft get their act together?

I was offered an update to Flash Player.  Downloaded it but then was told I had to agree to the licensing agreement but it will not show me the agreement except for a few lines of it.  Why do you make things so complicated?  Explorer tells me there is a know compatibility problem with Adobe.  (I'm running a 32 bit Vista system.)  Why can't Adobe and Microsoft get their act together?

I don't know what (exactly) your problem is, or what Microsoft has to do with it, but did you click the little checkbox left of "I have read and agree..."?

  • Why is the adobe acrobat customer service so bad?

Why is the adobe acrobat customer service so bad? They dont even have a phone number. I tried waiting on chat and tried logging in 3-4 times but no response at all. I want to cancel a yearly subscription and they said, there is no penalty if cancelled with in first 30 days but no body is responding at all. Sheer waste of time. • Why can't Adobe add the feature of viewing focus points? This is an obvious,  common sense feature that Adobe Engineers must understrand how to do, No?

Why can't Adobe add the feature of viewing focus points? This is an obvious,  common sense feature that Adobe Engineers must understrand how to do, No?
I've seen this requested in several past Lightroom versions.
Is Adobe not addressing this basic feature for a reason?, I mean, even Aperture has this feature, it can't be that hard to add? Can it?
Maybe Adobe isn't reading the feature request?

Honestly, I am hardly qualified to even guess - there are tons of bugs reported that would be easy to fix, but aren't, features that would be useful and easy enough to implement, but aren't. Things like focus points which seem like a no brainer but are never implemented - your guess is as good as mine..
But to be clear: focus points are different for different cameras, and are stored in proprietary metadata. - not impossible to get at, obviously, but requires some programming/maintenance..
Worth noting: Apple is shutting down their Aperture business. Yeah, they support focus points and all kinds of good stuff, but I guess Aperture isn't a real money-maker for them (lotsa maintenance work, but not a lot of revenue) - relatively small market.
Adobe has been working on Revel, and Lightroom Mobile.., instead of focus points (and bug fixes, and...) - my guess: that's where the money is, or where they think it is.
    Cheers,
    Rob

  • Why can't Adobe make Flash to control WMV?

I like to use Flash video but my company only allows WMV. IT actually wants people to use Silverlight. I would prefer continue using Flash. If Flash can control WMV, then I can continue using Flash for video purpose. I understand that Adobe wants people to buy Flash Media streaming server, but why can't Adobe just allow Flash to control WMV in a progressive download mode?
Any 3rd party extension that allows this?
    Thanks,

There isn't - to my knowledge - any way of playing a WMV in flash, and this has nothing to do with the streaming server.  If you buy the streaming server, you still can't use WMV.  Its not built in to the player.
WMV is owned by Microsoft, and would need to be licensed ($$) to be included in any plug-ins not also owned by Microsoft.
H.264 (the standard of online video) is open, and usable without cost.  Not only can you play any H.264 content with the flashPlayer, you can also play it with Silverlight, and Quicktime.

  • Why can't i use trial version to convert files to word?

Why can't i use trial version to convert files to word?

Symptom: I downloaded the trial of Acrobat Pro. But when I try to create a PDF or export a PDF, by using the Convert or Export button, I am asked to subscribe.
Cause: You are mixing up two different products. Adobe Reader is the free PDF reader you had before and still have. Acrobat Pro is a DIFFERENT product and doesn't even have the Convert or Export buttons you are using (so, we can tell for sure you aren't actually using the demo you downloaded).
Solution: quit Adobe Reader. Start Acrobat Pro (from START in Windows, or from Applications on Mac OS). You will see a product similar to Adobe Reader but able to do much more. Open PDF files with File > Open, NOT a double click. To export to other formats, use File > Save as... various options.

  • Why won't Adobe reader no longer let me view previously download (from Safari) pdf's? I am running OSX 10.8.5 and have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of Reader?

Why won't Adobe reader no longer let me view previously download (from Safari) pdf's? I am running OSX 10.8.5 and have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of Reader. I get this error message "Adobe Reader could not open 'OD Test Bed Proposals_0.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."  I have tried changing the 'open with' options too. Thanks

    Try this:
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
    Empty the trash
Relaunch Safari. You can now download undamaged PDFs.
