Why can't I access iMessage or Facetime

I recently purchased the new iPad and I have set it all up to use iTunes & the App Store which works fine no problem, I have been downloading apps.
However I cannot access iMessage or Facetime, I enter the password and then it takes me to the page saying my e-mail address is what people will see etc and then asks me to verify it, when I do this it spends about 2mins verifying and then comes back saying unable to verify check emails for verification e-mail, which I have never received.
I have even changed my password to see if that sorts it out however it hasn't. Also when I check my apple ID it says its already verified so I don't understand why I can't access iMessage or Facetime.
I've tried the reset and that didn't sort it.
Any help would be appreciated.

    if the issue happens when you're trying to reach someone who doesn't have an appleid or is not connected, then it's normal.
    also check in settings>general>date & time> and set automaticly ON, that's a problem with facetime and iMessage...

    Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
    I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.
    APPLE. What are you doing?

    Details: I launch the program and it prompts me to sign into my adobe account. I click "sign in," and then it loads for awhile. It then displays an error message specifying that I am not connected to the internet or that my pc's clock is not properly synched.     I'm using Windows 7 and I don't think I have any firewalls. But it has recently come to my attention that before my brother gave me this computer, he installed Clock Stopper to extend free trial programs. It's since been uninstalled, but could that program have messed up my clock permanently?

    What OS are you using? Do you have any firewalls that you could potentially disable while loading this screen?

    Why can't I access the updated that are pending on my phone? I've turned the phone off and also closed all the apps. But still won't allow me to access the updates. Just a blank screen.

    Another post is reporting that applying the 6.1 update fixes their issue. I'll have to wait until I am back on WiFi to try that.
