Why can't I adjust the size/proportions of objects anymore?

This problem has been happening intermittently today. The resizing squares around all of my objects have disappeared and I can no longer adjust their size or dimensions. I have tried resetting my tools as well as deactivating and reactivating my account (this worked once, but now the problem has appeared again).

It's because you have a paragraph text box and it doesn't automatically resize text. This way you can change the margins of the text without resizing it which is how paragraph text functions by default.
I'm not seeing the new text paragraph/area indicator on your text box, which is what you get in Illustrator CC, so the only way to convert this text so you can resize it by dragging on the corners is to copy the text, deselect the text box, use the text tool to click once in another part of your document, and then paste the text. The text will then come into your document as one long line if you don't have hard returns in it, but after reflowing the text manually you'll be able to drag the corners to resize the text.
I would recommend not going this route as any text you remove from the area type means that the rest of the text has to be manually adjusted to maintain correct margins. Instead just resize the bounds of the paragraph text and adjust the size of the font in the Character panel.

One advantage, or disadvantage, depending on how you look at it is that a virtual machine like Fusion does not partition your hard drive. It virtualizes your Windows drive by creating a file to act as your Windows drive. So all your hard drive is still OSx.
In your Virtual window click on Virtual Machine > Settings >Hard Disks then slide the slider to the size you want to make the virtual space (the space used by XP). This action just changes the size of the file holding the virtual machine. It does not do any re-partitioning.

Why can't i adjust the bottom of my home page

I recently deleted content from my home page, and rather than the bottom of the page adjusting up as it usually does, it's stuck in the old position.
i've tried adjusting the master page settings, and i've tried just deleting the space on the home page. neither thing has worked and i'm not sure what else to try.
the content i deleted was in the body of the page, not the footer.

Could you please check the page in design mode, if you have any blank object, like text box, rectangle or anything like that, specially in the footer. You can use "Select All" in Edit menu, to select all the content on the page, and try to locate it. Make sure you have unlocked everything on page, so it can select everything.

Why can't I change the color of an object?

I am having trouble with the color brick. I can't change the color of an object, at least not like described here: http://http://thedigitalstory.com/2012/12/easily-color-changin.html.
Some background:
1. I am working with RAW files.
2. I have RTFM.
3. I have consulted three books I own on Aperture.
4. I have searched the web for help, which is how I came across the link above.
5. I am using the color block correctly, but I can only achieve a subtle shift in the change of very pale colors. This is despite adding up to three additional color blocks to try to increase the degree of change, but there is no way I am coming close to being able to change a blue car to purple, let alone to red (this references the link above.)
Others must have experienced this, I would think. Any thoughts on what I might do differently to achieve more dramatic results from the color block? I don't even have a specific change in a specific image that I'm asking about—I just want to master the software so that I can do so when I need to. Come to think of it, there is a specific change I want to make in a image. Now it's really an important question!

Thanks, Léonie. A quick way to move any slider to its extreme is to click on the value in the Value Slider and drag all the way left or right. This is much faster than side-stepping all the way to the far limits.
I think the example the OP (Ben) is trying to emulate is misleading (given the sophistication of the Digital Story poster, deliberately, and wrongly, so). The car in the original photo is just about the only blue object (and thus pixels) in the image used to demonstrate that one can change the hue of objects using Aperture. Aperture excels at global adjustments and adjustments made to _imprecisely_ bounded areas. (This is, contrary to one's expectation, one of Aperture's great strengths: imprecisely-bounded tone and hue shifts are perceived as "natural"; precisely bounded ones look "artificial". Most photographers (as opposed to graphic artists) wish to retain the illusion of a natural world inside their pictures.) The only reason the hue-changing trick works with the car in the photo is that the Color adjustment effects only the car because it is the only blue object in the photo (there is a bluish TV in the background, and a bluish logo on one of the displays in the background).
The point is that while object-specific hue-shifts can be made with Aperture, it is not the program of choice for this kind of editing. A graphics package, which allows for much more control over selecting pixels, is recommended.

Why can't I see the bounding box for objects on the pasteboard?

Adobe CC sucks. Why last week was I able to see the bounding box of objects that I had on the pasteboard in InDesign CC, including objects that didn't contain anything yet, and now suddenly this week I can't see them?
It seems as though every week something inexplicably gets changed around. First Save As had no shortcut, then suddenly the shortcut is back, but it doesn't work.
Get it together Adobe. I don't want to be paying a subscription for a product that feels as though it's still in Beta mode.

Yes thanks, I don't think I was clear in what I wrote. I knew that they could be turned back on, but why did I open InDesign this morning to find my workspace/preferences different than how I left them on Friday?
And I know it isn't a case of my mistakenly turning off the frame edges, because the operator that sits next to me had the exact same thing happen to her copy of InDesign this morning also.
I understand the requirement to update things, but it really does feel as though I'm using software that is still in testing.

Why can't I see the size percentage of the page on the bottom of a web page like in IE?

In IE at the bottom of the web page I can change the page size from 100% to bigger or smaller. In FireFox I do not see this percentage. I am wondering where it is and how I can change the website page?

Why can't i change the size of the taskbar

I am trying the trial version of photoshop elements 13 and the taskbar fonts and icons are way to small and tiny.
It is impossible to use this software when I can't see what I am selecting.
It is frustrating.
I have a 27" monitor that has a display of 2560 x 1440.
I did not buy a $1000 monitor to have a lower resolution just so I can use this software.
Is there any way to enlarge them?
If not, I cannot purchase this product.

If your on a windows operating system, try updating to 13.1 using Help>Updates from within the pse 13 editor.
Then go to Edit>Preferences>Display and Cursors and try the Large-200% option beside UI Scale Factor
Then restart photoshop elements 13 and see if it's any better

Why can't I increase the cache size in FF 4?

OK, first of all, to be honest I really don't like FF 4. I see absolutely no advantages over the previous versions and I can't find anything to like about FF 4..
One big and annoying factor (besides the how UI and layout) is why can't I increase the cache size?
If I choose to manage it myself and override what the developers did, I can go to 1024 and that's it. If I want 5GB of cache, I'm out of luck because some coded decides how I want to manage my disk space? They're kidding, right?
What the heck is the matter with these guys?
This thing is so bad that I've resisted upgrading, I didn't have a choice when I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04, it came with the package.. Yuk... I've been a FF user since late 2003 or early 2004... I'm about to part ways with this thing if they don't fix it...Even IE sucks less than this thing....

You can probably solve this problem by increasing the Top Margin in the Document Inspector. Have you tried this, and did it cause you any problems?
