Why can't I browse to my 1252 AP

Hi All,
I have the 1152 connected to a Linksys router. My PC is connected to the same Linksys router.
My IP is 192.168.1.101.
The AP is 192.168.1.102.
I can ping it fine.
I put 192.168.1.102 in my browser and I get nothing. Says IE cannot display the webpage.
Any ideas?

Well, that's pretty embarrasing. I opened a new Hyperterminal session and made sure settings were as you stated. Now I can communicate. Thank you for that.
Next issue is username and password. Since I reset it to factory default (or so I think I did), I'm using "Cisco" for username and password. However it's saying "Authentication Failed".
Any ideas about that?

Why can't I browse by release date in the Albums view?

I listen to Vocaloid music, specifically Megurine Luka. When I want to check for new releases, I do a search for Megurine Luka. I then click on Albums to see a complete list of every album in which she has at least one song. That works great, but I can't refine the search by release date. I just get a seemingly random list of albums. So, to check for new releases, I have to go through all of them, looking at the release dates. Sometimes the new releases are at the bottom, sometimes in the middle, sometimes near the top. If I had the option to view by release date, it would make that much easier. Is there a way to do this, and I'm just not seeing it?

Why can I not browse into subfolders in a stack?

I used to be able to browse subfolders from a stack. For example, if you look at this screenshot of someone elses doc stack - mine used to look like this:
Note the little arrow in the top left corner. If you browse into one of the subfolder, it opens in the stack view, and you can browse it's contents.
Suddenly, though, my stacks have lost this ability.
Behold the following image:
Note the *absence* of the little arrow at top right? And if I click on a subfolder - nothing happens. Nothing at all. If I click a file it will open in the default program, but if I click a folder ... nada. zip. not a blamed thing happens.
What have I done to bork this up? More imprtantly - how do I fix it?
It's killing my because I keep all my remote desktop sessions organized in subfolder attached to my dock as a stack so I can quickly launch them, but as things stand - it don't work no more because I can't get into my neatly organised subfolders from my dock! Woe is me...
Has anyone else seen this behaviour in their dock? More importantly - does anyone know what I can do to get the default behaviour back?

Why can Google Chrome browser display PDF that Reader cannot?

I have a large PDF of a 2300-person family tree (400 pages if printed) that I am trying to share with family. The PDF is produced by MacFamilyTree on Mac OS X 10.8.4 It has the ability to simply "Save" the Graph as a PDF and I can also ask it to "Print" and inside the "Print Dialog" I can ask it to "Save as PDF". I have created the PDF both ways, and have the same problems with both.
Using Mac OS X 10.8 and Apple's Preview program, I can view the PDF and search inside the PDF just fine. If only all my relatives were on Macs my problems would be solved. But alas, they are predominantly on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8) with all the annoyances that are entailed in trying to help troubleshoot non-technical people who have no idea what software they have or have not installed or updated.
Using the Google Chrome browser on Windows 7 (64-bit) and on Mac OS X 10.8.4 I can view the PDF, but search fails. Being able to see the family tree will certainly be a bonus to family members, but the first thing they all want to do is "Find Myself" in the tree. So getting a solution that both displays and allows for search (like Preview does) is what I'm hoping for.
These other browers (Safari, IE, FireFox) all the latest and greatest, downloaded today with fresh installs, fail to display the PDF on both OSes (obivously, IE was only on Win7 - not 100% sure which version it was, probably 9).
Acrobat Reader, version 9.5, and the current latest version on both Win7 and Mac OS X fail to display the PDF at all.
If I reduce the scope of the family tree, down to say 300 people, then pretty much all of these programs are able to display it just fine. Search is still mostly broken, but display works. If I reduce it even futher to just a couple dozen people, then display and search works great everywhere.
The largest file itself is only a tad larger than 4MB.
The document is not very complex - just a bunch of lines connecting people to their spouses/children/parents and small boxes around each "person" with their name and a little bit of other text, like wedding/divorce and death information.
It's as if all the engineering teams (other than Chrome and Preview) decided to impose an artificial limit on the size of single PDF "page" and the family tree has simply gone past that limit.
Any suggestions? Any chance Reader can be tweaked to be at least as good as the Google Chrome browser or Apple's Preview programs?

I think you might be hitting a page size limit of 200 x 200 inches in Adobe software. Larger files typically appear blank.

Why can't i browse with an active internet connection?

I'm connected to the internet via wifi. I can connect normally to applications like skype etc. But when it comes to browsing on firefox, accessing the itunes store and the app store, my mac tells me that i am not connected to the internet. I also have a windows based laptop, which is working absolutely fine so that rules out the possibility of the internet itself not working. Please help out!

HP printers tend to have long names. Try renaming your printer to something more simple.
Click on System Preferences in the dock or from the menu after clicking the apple icon (top left)
Under Hardware choose Print & Scan
Right-click or Ctrl+Click on your HP Printer and choose rename printer
Type a new name e.g. My Printer (you can also add a location if you wish)
Then click OK

Why can't I browse jam packs right off the DVD?

I'm trying to use my jam pack DVD's without taking up space on my hard drive. There must be a way to browse jam packs straight off the DVD without installing them. How can I do this?

Thanks for the responses. I'll just keep doing the drag and drop. I don't appreciate Apple's attempts to force me to use the ancillary software of their choice, especially when they don't seem to want to serve my business needs. I love Iphoto for my personal photo collection. Another case of Apple not serving business users very well. I have two libraries of photos, tens of thousands in each. Personal photos and work photos. I use Keynote for work. Iphoto won't allow me to create two libraries, and I don't want work photos mixed in with my personal photos. Albums don't help. So my work photos just live in my own organized series of nested files found through finder. APPLE!! PLEASE START THINKING ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS USERS!

Why can't I browse utilities in Itunes 11

In itunes 11.1.2 (Mavericks) It is no longer possible to browse Apps -- Utilities.
It displays a line of "hot new apps" and when you click "show all" -- that is all it shows you.
The bottome of the screen shows only a couple of collections and about 10 apps...
I used to see pages and pages of apps... and Apple claims to have millions -- but there is no way to browse them anymore.

Everyone needs to band together on this and send the meanest-spirited complaint to Apple via the "Provide iTunes Feedback" option (dropdown from the iTunes menu, found just under thr Preferences option). If you have such uncharitable words to say here the Moderator just deletes it. If there was some way to start a petition I'd do it. Intensionally hobbling programs and calling it an upgrade is the dumbest thing Apple can possibly do. Reminds me of a Dilbert episode.

Why can I not browse other backups in Time Manager

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but I could not find a Community for Time Manager.
I'm trying to restore a file from a Time Machine backup of my Late 2008 MacBook on to a Late 2014 Mac Mini both running Yosemite. The backup I'm trying to access is on a 3Tbyte Time Capsule which is shared by both machines plus another MacBook Air.
When I go into Time Machine and select Browse Other Backups I can see the backups for all 3 machines but when I select the backup for the MacBook but all that is ever displayed in to "Star Wars" display is the current view for the Mac Mini.
Am I doing something wrong?
I would appreciate some help.

I have used Time Machine to restore files and emails previously on my MacBook from its own backups. In this case I am trying to restore a file on to a Mac Mini from the backups of the MacBook. I understood from the Pondini FAQ #17 http://pondini.org/TM/17.html that the way to do this is :- on my Mac Mini right click on the Time Manager icon in the menu bar, hold down the Alt/Option key and select "Browse Other Backup Disks...". This displays a list of backups available from which I select the MacBook's backups and then click "Use Selected Disk". This takes me into the Star Wars array. However the only data that is displayed when I do this is the current view of the files on my Mac Mini. It doesn't open the backups for the MacBook to allow me to select the required file.
I'm obviously missing something along the line and really appreciate your interest.

Why does the Welcome to firefox tab open with my google tab every time I open the browser? And why can't the browser hold any add-ons I downloaded? I loose then when I close the browser, even tool bars have to be reinstalled every time I open the browser

Every time I open the browser the Welcome to Firefox tab is the first tab, then a second tab opens and thats my google, then a 3rd tab opens for me to reinstall my toolbar. This has been happening for a good year. Updates have not fixed it. Others have this problem. I did a search for an answer, the question is out there but no answer. Now if I go into add ons and add a background Theme or an extension it all is gone when I exit the browser. When I open the browser again I get all 3 tabs and have to install my toolbar again. I DO NOT want to reinstall as I will loose all my saved data, passwords, bookmarks, everything! I have had this computer for a year, Windows Vista x64 bit. Its not the computer, it's the browser. Why can't I browse Safari on my iPod Touch 5 with iOS 8

Okay, I have had my iPod Touch 5th Gen for a few months now and I love it. The problem is, I can't search in the Safari app. Before I downloaded iOS 8, I could search on the Safari app and had no problem at all. Now that they came out with iOS 8, though, I can not search one letter in Safari without it crashing. I can't use the little gray box and have to use the Google bookmark for all of my searches.
Is anyone else having this problem or know the answer?

Tap Settings > Safari then tap to clear History, Cookies, & Data then reset your iPod.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

With Windows you can only view the pictures on the iPhone. Use iTunes to better navigate some of the iPhone.

Why can't I browse the web using Norton 360 to make sure my websites are safe?

I use Norton's 360 when I browse the web to make sure all the websites I visit are safe.It tells me they are safe by putting a green check mark next to the websites before I choose one. Firefox 4 beta is telling me it is incompatible. I would like to know if there is a way to manually add the toolbar and override this.

Why can't I browse the internet when streaming music?

I am using a Mid 2012 MBP in tip top shape and I have 24MB/s ADSL 2+ with current speed test results of 12.34 Mbps line speed and 1.51 MB/s dl speed. I have 3 things connected to my router MBP, iPhone and Apple TV. Router is D-Link N750. All items listed have latest firmware, updates etc.
My problem is that whenever I am streaming music, either with Spotify or iTunes Radio etc my browsing speed becomes almost unusable and when I then play the music through the Apple TV with Airplay the streaming drops out all the time and I cannot use the internet at all. I have turned off high bitrate streaming etc but nothing is helping.
When I stream through the iPhone on the wireless it all seems to work fine so I think the problem is with the MBP. I have tried reseting PRAM, deleting com.apple.internetconfig.plst etc. but no difference.
Pls help, this is driving me insane!

Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back into the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.
