Why can't I change the addresses of friends by changing them in my address book?

In my address book, I changed a friend's E-mail address, but the old address remains in the drop down box where I select the person I am E-mailing. Why doesn't the list when I select 'to" come from my address book?

Is this about Thunderbird or about an internet based email service?
For Firefox you can use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:
#click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
#highlight an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or cursor Down key<br>do not click the mouse or press the Enter key
#press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry

Probably because Facebook Games on the website need Flash to run, and iPads don't natively support Flash.
You may be able to find a Flahs supporting browser in the Appr Store. (Search for "flash browser"). Though support is not 100% for any of them, but maybe some of the games may work.

Why can't I use the Harley Davidson 1,7,1 theme

If I go to the tool bar click 'tools' then click 'Add Ons"
A box opens that lists default and Harley Davidson 1.7.1 and under the Harley Davidson it says "use theme" and "uninstall" with only uninstall highlighted. Clicking on Use theme has no effect.

Quit Firefox ('''File'''->'''Quit''') and then start it again. The Harley theme should be active after that, and the appearance of Firefox would change.

I'm afraid that once an address has been associated with an Apple ID you can't re-use it in any way. You will have to create another address (such as a free on from GMail or Yahoo for example).

Specifically -
To display slides in random order, select “Shuffle slide order.” If you don’t see this option, play the slideshow, move the pointer to make the slideshow controls appear, and then click the Settings button.

Why can't I download the latest iTunes to my mac which is a 10.5.8

I have got myself in a real mess, I installed the new iOS 7 onto my iPad and I don't like it so I imported all my new photos to my mac, then I reset all my settings on my iPad thinking that it would go back to the original settings but alas didn't work.
Then I thought I would put up with it but now I cannot put my photos etc back onto the iPad because my mac needs the version of iTunes but when I try to install the new version I get a messy come up that iTunes cannot install this new version on my mac which is a 10.5.8.
So now I am stuck with the software on the iPad I don't like and I cannot sync the iPad to iTunes
So why can't I download the new version of iTunes to the mac which is 10.5.8

Put simply, the minimum system requirements for iTunes have changed. You need a Mac running at least OS X 10.6.8.
It's best you look online to see if your model of Mac can be upgraded to at least 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard". It should still be possible to order a copy of Snow Leopard if so.

Why can't I use the Basic brush tool?

I'm learning the ropes of drawing in Illustrator and I've fallen at the first hurdle. Why can't I use the Basic brush tool? Whenever I select the brush tool and use the 'Basic' brush type, the cursor turns into a hashed circle indicating I can't draw. If I load other brushes, I can draw with other brush types, but I can't use the Basic one. If I select the Basic brush when I have other brushes loaded and try to draw with it, it always defaults to a different brush! I don't understand why.
On a related matter, I'm also having trouble changing brush size. I know that using the [ and ] keys changes brush size, but I have no idea what the values are. If I try this in Photoshop, I can see the brush size in the Options bar, but in Illustrator it doesn't appear anywhere! Not in the Brushes palette, the Stroke palette or the Appearance palette. Where can I see the brush size?

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

It's because you have a paragraph text box and it doesn't automatically resize text. This way you can change the margins of the text without resizing it which is how paragraph text functions by default.
I'm not seeing the new text paragraph/area indicator on your text box, which is what you get in Illustrator CC, so the only way to convert this text so you can resize it by dragging on the corners is to copy the text, deselect the text box, use the text tool to click once in another part of your document, and then paste the text. The text will then come into your document as one long line if you don't have hard returns in it, but after reflowing the text manually you'll be able to drag the corners to resize the text.
I would recommend not going this route as any text you remove from the area type means that the rest of the text has to be manually adjusted to maintain correct margins. Instead just resize the bounds of the paragraph text and adjust the size of the font in the Character panel.

Apple says to use "SkyFire" as your browser if you must view Flash content (which they do not recommend you do with an iPad). It's free in the App Store.

Sorry you're having trouble doing such a simple task. Unfortunately, you are correct in your findings - unlike the desktop version of Skype, there's no way to simply clear your chat history in one swift motion other than clearing the data or uninstalling the app. You can, however, clear the chat history of a conversation by deleting it. The only downside to the workaround is the amount of time it would consume if you desired to remove every conversation.
Your feedback can change Skype, so do send the developers some using the app! They're listening, so you may send this (or take a chance that this gets noticed by developers) and other bright ideas you may have about Skype for Android. You might see some great changes in the upcoming versions!
The option to send feedback is within the Settings menu on the latest version of Skype.

If it's in the Spam mailbox, then Spam Mailbox would show there.
In my example above, I'm looking in the Sent Mailbox as a whole (main mailbox, not the subfolder account) and it's showing the account I sent from. If I had sent messages from my other accounts, it would show those also. The only purpose of showing the mailbox in the message list is to know which of your accounts it's to or from when you have multiple accounts. If you only have one mail account, then it provides no use to have Mailbox shown in the message list.
When you are looking at the Sent Mail, then the message list shows the person who it was sent to.
All other mailboxes show the person who the message was sent from in the list.
Unless you're moving recieved mail and sent mail to a common mailbox, then it's not a big deal.
Maybe Apple will change it in the future to show the actual Fields in the message list.
