I recomend you install the Facebook App from the App Store.
Once you've done that and sucessfully logged in.
Turn your Ipad Horizontally, while in the Facebook App, and you'll be able to see the chat sidebar with all you're online friends.
Facebook video call isnt yet available for use on mobiles or tablets/ipads.

go to the newsfeed on facebook and then turn your ipad horizontal (landscape). chat should pop up on the right side.

Why can't I post on Facebook in notification center

Hi all,
The function to post on Facebook in Notification Center works when I just updated to 10.8.2. Right now I can still see Facebook notifications, but I'm not able to post status update by clicking on the "Click to Post" at the top of Notification Center. (Nothing happens when I click it.)
Another similar question is using Facebook account to chat in Messages. Before it works fine by signing into chat.facebook.com, using Account Type: Jabber. Now it doesn't work even though when I go to System Preferences to re-enter my account password and no password error message occurs.
Anyone can help? Thanks!

For the Messages bit I would check your Facebook settings and see if "Chat" is still Enabled.

Why can I only see my facebook photos through other OS access but not on my Mac using Firefox or Safari?

I have access to Facebook on a windows OS but not on my MAC.
My friend can access his FB and view his photos through his account, but I cannot view my photos, even with the same laptop and same browser -even when I log onto FB right after he logs off? Why?

You need to explain that. Do you mean :
You AND your friend can both view FB photos using Windows via Bootcamp on a Mac, but not in OS X?
You can both view your FB photos on a Windows PC but you can't on your Mac?
Your friend can see his FB photos on your Mac but you can't see yours?

Just got the iPad mini. Why can't I view my Facebook profile? (I'm using the Facebook app) I can open my News Feed but when I go to my page, it comes out with a notice "page doesn't exist, or you don't have permission to view this page" HELP!

It's frustrating to not be able to view my own Facebook page using the iPad mini. I have the iPad 1 and the Facebook app works fine there, I can see my personal FB page with 1. Is this characteristic of the iPad mini only?

Try this:
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If none of those work, delete the app and install it again.

Why can't I sync my facebook invitations to my iCal? My Mac Mail won't detect the date/time on the email anymore.

I have been trying to sync my facebook invitations to my iCal and no longer able to do this through my Mac Mail. When I would receive a facebook invitaiton through my comcast email, I used to be able to hover my mouse over the date/time of the invitation and then I could easily "Add to iCal" or "See Date in iCal", but am no longer able to do so. I can still add other invitations, just not the facebook invitations. Any ideas?

You can get your photos off your phone. If they are all in Camera Roll just import them to your new computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083). If some of them were synced to your iphone from your computer (i.e., in photo library) just use an app like PhotoSync and send them to your new computer wirelessly. For that matter, you can sync your phone with your new computer without losing your data and settings if you carefully follow this guide: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. Your only issue will be non-purchased music on your phone which is not in your new iTunes library, which will require 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer from your phone to iTunes (or you will have to rip you CDs again to import them).

Why can't I load the Facebook Account Settings page?

Windows 7, Firefox 8.0, Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop.
I can log onto Facebook ok, but every time I go to the Accounts Settings page, if fails to load completely. What loads appears to be html, and it's so far off center that it's mostly off-screen to the left.
I cannot do anything on Acct Settings, including delete or deactivate my FB acct., which by now I'd love to do.
About a year ago, I asked FB to delete my account permanently, because of this Acct Settings page issue. They emailed me back and said your acct is permanently deleted.
Months later, a friend encourage me to check on this. I logged on, et voila, my acct still existed.
Facebook has no interest in addressing this. Their help forum has no yielded any answers.

I can't go between facebook and Yahoo with it telling me I have created a cycle. I have to go out completely and then go in to which ever one I want. It only started doing this after I installed the last Mozilla upgrade. Used too be able to switch back and for easily.

Why can I video chat with everyone on my list- Except for one person?

Recently, my friend and I have been having problems video chatting with each other. A couple of months ago, we were able to screen share, voice chat, and video chat just fine. I can, and she can too, do all those things with all of our other iChat contacts. Except when we try to do anything with each other, it says "A problem has occurred with iChat". We've tried it multiple times on different computers, internet connections, etc., but it never seems to work. Is there a way that my friend and I can start to video chat and screen share again? This problem has just come out of the blue, and it is really bugging us.

Have either of you changed a Router at all ?
I have some info dating back to iChat 3 listed here
As time and iChat has progressed so has our understanding of NAT (Network Address Translation)
In some cases the way the Device that does the routing at each end does NAT means you cannot get a video connection.
If it was working and now doesn't it suggests something changed.
As changing setting would more likely effect every Buddy at one end it looks more like a hardware issue (at least in terms of the devices functionality)
Make, model and version numbers of any routers may help identify something specific.

What is SonicWall? Why is it on my system now? SonicWall showed up after I upgraded to a newer version of Firefox. How can I be the system admin to decide what websites are blocked? Or how can I remove this feature?

That is a legitimate question but sadly enough one of the many mysteries that Adobe HQ likes to produce
But for some countries uploading to FB was a possibility. However, in their infinitive wisdom the same HQ executives have decided to dump the whole export panel in Bridge CC (in combination with the Output Module and synchronized windows, due to protest you now have the difficult option to download and install the Output yourself but other options ave vanished).
Dumping a problem seems easier then solving it, a strategy that is getting more common in large companies where the higher ranks and 'beancounters' seem to have lost every contact with their customers nor do they understand their needs.
