Why can't I choose "fan" as display style for Smart Folder added to Dock?

I added a Smart Folder to my Dock, which is cool.
But, control-clicking it doesn't give the typical dock folder options such as "fan, grid, list, automatic"...
Can I make it display the Smart Folder as "fan"?

Why can't I CHOOSE the channels I receive?

My parents pay far less for DISH and get more channels. The only reason I keep AT&T is because I need reliable internet. I'm frustrated with a lot of channels with NOTHING to watch. This is compounded by the fact that I get multiple Spanish language channels (not just local broadcast) and I don't speak Spanish and I get multiple sports channels and I don't watch sports--well I will watch the Olympics. I also don't watch cartoons and there's lots of those available to me. Most of my TV watching is local broadcast or PBS. I'd love to get BBC or WGN without paying extra. I would gladly drop all the Spanish, sports and cartoons to get some intelligent adult TV that's in a language I speak, that doesn't include men bashing each other's skulls and doesn't make me lose IQ points. Why can't we choose the type of service we want instead of just getting one the choices we can afford from AT&T's cookie cutter products?

What you are describing is called "a la carte service" and has been debated for years if not decades. The main reason you can't pick and choose channels has to do with how the channels themselves make money. For the most part, each one cuts a deal with each TV service (e.g. Xfinity, DirecTV, U-Verse, Dish, Time Warner Cable) where the service pays the channel a certain amount for each household capable of viewing it (usually less than 50 cents, but ESPN charges something like $5). Note two important factors here: (a) it is the TV services that are paying the channels, and not the other way around; (b) it is based on how many people can view a channel, and not how many people actually do. With "packages," a lot of channels that very few people would watch are grouped together with the more popular channels, and the additional cost of carrying these channels is offset somewhat by the fact that the channels do not have to charge as much as they otherwise would because of the number of households that can watch the channel, most of which never will. If you changed this, and made everything a la carte, then most channels - including the popular ones - would have to charge more in order for you to view them. Want BBC America? $3/month, thank you very much. That $5/month for ESPN? More like $10. Also remember that the service itself has to add to these costs so it can pay for providing the service (e.g. buying and sending out the cable boxes).

Why can't I choose where to DOWNLOAD?

Why is it automatically to the download folder? Why can't I choose where I want these files to go?

Topher Kessler's advice to "right click" on the attachment will give you various options, including the option to select the destination.
If you do not have a two button mouse, hold the control key down and click on the attachment.

Your site is a CCM site which is on a WebBasics plan (This plan does not provide hosted emails on Business Catalyst).
If you want to create email addresses on this site, you would need to setup your email server elsewhere and configure the MX records on your site to point to that external mail server.
If you want to use Business Catalyst's hosted email services you would need to use a WebBasics+ or higher siteplan. To upgrade your CCM free site, Access your site's admin area -> Site Management -> Upgrade Now -> choose the desired site plan and billing frequency -> Add personal and credit card details -> Submit.

You can set an iPod Classic to shuffle in a Playlist. Well, my Classic (running 1.1.2 PC) can.
What are you doing after setting shuffle to songs in the Settings menu?
What you need to do is scroll down to the Playlist of your choice and either:
highlight the Playlist and press the Play button (which will play a song at random from that Playlist). When that song finishes, another song will be played - at random - from that same Playlist
enter the Playlist and choose a song that you want to be played first. When that song finishes, another song from that Playlist will be chosen - at random - to be played.
When songs are being played in shuffle mode (the random choice of song), you will see the shuffle icon in the top right corner of the screen. (It's the same icon when in shuffle albums mode.) What happens, that is different, in your case?

It was a simple fillcolor with opacity. It is as if it doesnt respond. I can clic the symbol for a new layer, but nothing happens. I've dragged the style from appearance-box, to symbol for new style - Nothing. I've dragged the box directly to Graphic Styles - again - nothing. I've tried with my CS4 that worked. But not in CC.

Are you logged in with the same account that was used to activate the phone ? If you are, and the apps aren't showing as free, then try logging out of your account by tapping on it at the botto of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if they then show as free.

I am unable to replicate your issue. I am able to open winzip files just fine through MSWebFolders. Your Windows client may have an older version of the Web Folder Client (MSDAIPP.DLL). Can you find that file on computer (should be in common files\system\oledb) and check the version (right click --> properties -->version flag). We support 12.0.6415.1000. There may be issues with older versions of that file (some of those issues are discussed here - http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/webfolder-client-list.html).

Why can't I choose if I want to tile Vertically or Horizontally as before?

I use tile on 95% of my jobs. It is a waste of space when I tile all vertical pictures because I do not have the choice of Tile Vertically or Tile Horizontally as on previous version of Photoshop. I tried the different choices offered on "arrange document" and there is non with the vertical choice, unless you choose one that displays my photos some on one size and the remaining or two or three remaining, a different size to fill up the screen.

I have been frustrated by this for many years too. I have spoken directly with Brian Hughes from Adobe while attending the Photoshop World Conference and I followed up with some tech support people, but no one seemed to understand my issue. The other thing that broke after CS3 was the order the tiled windows opened. CS3 respected the order in which you opened your files. Using an example of an animation where all your files are in numbered sequence. When you tiled them the first file would land in the upper left of the screen and in ordered sequence the last would land in the lower right. Since CS3 if you open two sets of files consecutively the order is a scrambled random order.
In the picture I opened the 15 files of the silver car using Bridge. Then I opened the 15 files of the black car. In CS3 it would have displayed the silver cars 1-15 followed by the black cars 1-15. As you can see the sequence here is totally scrambled. Since this was working in CS3 it seems illogical not to have fixed this by now.

See Question. Yes, it's 'display names', so I guess you can only see them on the display while thunderbird pretends to not know them really.
Still this is a less useful non-feature which annoys me a lot.

Display name:
is useful in identifying emails from specific people like family and friends.
It is more informal.
The shortened format means the 'From' column header does not need to be so wide - especially if these emails have been filtered to suitable folders.
for example: it is more user friendly to see FROM Mum instead of the long email address and many peopke do not always send emails showing their name.
However, like many things, you are not obligued to use it in the contact properties.
Regarding searching:
It depends upon how you are doing it. there are different search methods and each will search in a slightly different way.
If using 'Quick Filter Bar' then it does not search on Display name as those options are not available. It searches on Sender , Recipient, Subject and Body. But if the display name happens to be used in the body content then it will display.
If using global search then it does search on a display name.
Enter the display name in the search eg: Mum and select the Mum and email address option from the drop down offered.
It will show display name and email address, so you can select the search parameters.
If using this method:
Edit > Find > Search messages
This method searches on specific fields/headers and therefore will not search on a display name.
So I would recommend you try using the global search option if searching by a specific display name.

Why can't I choose my download bit rate?

I import all my CDs in AAC 256 bit rate, why can't I download music that I buy from iTunes at that bit rate?
If I am going to pay for a song, i want it at a decent quality bit rate, guess I just have to buy the CD anyway, so much for downloading convenience.

You can't. The store sell downloads @ 128, that is ALL they sell. The record companies provide the files to the store & most record companies are not in favor of providing CD quality downloads.
This is exactly why I have gone back to buying CD's, the quality of the store files do not meet my needs. I will buy the occasional song from the store when I do not wish to buy the complete CD.
