Why can't I click an app before I purchase it in the app store?

I was trying to read about a certain app before I purchased it but for some reason I was unable to click on it unless I was willing to pay the ten dollars and download it first ... Any suggestions?

If it's only that app that exhibits that then it might be a fault on the Store's end and should be reported back via their Feedback channels.
If it's more than one, or many, or all apps, then follow the general troubleshooting steps contained in your User's Guide for misbehaving apps. The recommended steps are, in order, to Restart the iPad, then Force Quit the app, then Reset the iPad, stopping the process of course at any step where the app starts working correctly and your immediate problem is fixed.

Right, so - I hear a song I like, start up iTunes on my new iPhone 4S, and download it from the store. No problem. Then I get home, connect my phone to my PC and... find that iTunes will not, under any circumstances, allow me to move my newly-purchased song to my hard-drive. I can find the song just fine, under 'Devices', so it's not like iTunes doesn't know it exists. My PC is registered as a 'legal shared platform' or whatever you call it, so there shouldn't be any problems with the DRM.
I even started up my iTune Store Account via the iTunes on my PC, and found the song again. Sure enough, it still remembers that I've bought it. But there's no option to re-download it. And the program simply refuses to move the file from my phone to my hard-drive in any way. Drag-and-drop just gives an 'Ø' sign, copy-and-paste does nothing. I can get iTunes to PLAY the song just fine, but only from my phone.
...the really strange thing is that LAST time I bought a song from the iTunes Store, on my phone, iTunes AUTOMATICALLY downloaded it to my hard-drive as soon as I plugged in my phone. No interaction needed on my part. And now it won't do it no matter how much I ask. Temperamental system...
EDIT: Managed to get it transfered by selecting 'Transfer Purchases' from the right-click menu of the iPhone-icon in iTunes... but I still don't understand why the song refused to sync normally or be moved manually. Meh.

You cannot mve the songs manually from iphone to your computer.
The way you do this is exactly what you did : File>Transfer Purchases

Why can't i see my movies in "Previous Purchases" I bought the movie 6 months ago and just recently watched it- i had to restore my ipod and my computer becasue the both broke. now i can't see any movies, only apps, songs, books, and tv shows.

OK i will explain my whol situation.
My computers hard drive broke, so i had to get a new one.
My itunes from the hard drive is gone now.
MY ipod was disable to the point where you must plug it into the same itunes on the same computer it was last synced on.
i had to restore my ipod.
i re downloaded itunes.
i got into my account.
i re downloaded all songs, apps, books, tv shows, and pod casts.
IT WON"T SHOW ME MY MOVIES.
i looked in my purchase history so i know i bought it.
i went back to "Previous Purchases"
it still doesn't give me a category for movies.
i really need to get that movie back because it was 9.99 and i refuse to let my money go to waste!

Films can currently only be downloaded once from the store, which I think is a requirement from the film distributors, so they won't show in the Purchased section for re-downloading. Have you not got a backup of it on, for example, an external drive or CD/DVD ?

I have this issue also. Both lists (purchased and not on this ipad) attempt to refresh but seem to timeout and leave the page empty. Can only assume that there's an issue at Apples end. Quiet annoying though.

OK--Think I finally discovered the issue. I'm using a trackball and keyboard setup from Euphonix that communicates with the Mac via Ethernet and TCP/IP. Aperture cannot deal with mouse strokes transmitted this way. If I switch to a USB mouse connected directly to the Mac, the brushes work normally. Still a disappointment since the Euphonix is my default keyboard/mouse and I don't really want to keep a separate USB mouse hooked up.....

What do you mean, 'downloaded'? Take pictures where? Are you saying that you have an iPhone or iPad and you don't have enough memory for any more pictures? Adding the 10GB won't have any effect - it's extra space on the iCloud server for Documents, email, Contacts, Calendars and iPhone backup. You can't increase the memory on an iPad or iPhone by any means. If this isn't your issue please clarify what you mean.

Before installing the CS6 "cloud" programs I would be given an option to open in any software or version that would be an appropriate program to open the file. If I want to open a jpg in Photoshop CS5 so I can use the plugins that I have not yet installed in CS6 I can only open it by opening Photoshop CS5 and open it through the Photoshop dropdown.
I am working in Windows 7 professional. I am subscribed to the CS6 "cloud" annual subscription.

If I have to go to the trouble to open in bridge I might as well open Photoshop CS5, browse to the file and open it. My point is, before CS6 I could simply right click on a file in its folder and have the option to open it in any program that it could be opened in. Previously it would give me the options for past versions. Now a PSD only gives me the option of Photoshop CS6 even if it was created in CS5. This is also happening with InDesign files and Illustrator files. Quite an inconvienence, especially in the transition period.

What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

The credit that is on your account can be used to buy items from the app store, iTunes store, ibookstore and (if you have a Mac) the Mac App Store. As long as you are buying the music for yourself (you can't use an account's balance to gift content) then your account's balance should be used before your credit card is charged - just click on the price to buy it and it's price should be deducted from your balance.

yes it was solved some time ago. i cant remember exactly but i think i disconnected from the internet and tried accessing the audio apps (or maybe i had accessed the apps first then only turned off internet i cant remember) thereafter the files were in my local apps and then I turned off use icloud. i suggest you backup your ipad on itunes before trying anything. You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Log out and log back in. Test.
