Is your iPad seeing the Router SSID (Network Name) in the list of networks? If so what happens when you try to select it? Are you asked for a password? If the network isn't secure then it won't ask you for a password and you should just connect.

You cannot connect the iPad to your computer like you would a hard disk. You get the Not Charging notice because the USB ports on your computer do not provide enough power to charge an iPad efficiently.
The best way to transfer video files from the computer is via iTunes on your computer. Here's the rub, though,
If your iPad 2 is still on iOS 5.1.1 or earlier you can use your G4 for the transfer if it is running OSX 10.5.8. Start iTunes on your computer, connect your iPad 2, select it in iTunes and select Video in the row of tabs on the right.
If your iPad 2 is running ios 6.0 or later you need iTunes 10.7 or later. iTunes 11 is the current version. Unfortunately these recent versions of iTunes require OSX 10.6.8 or later and these versions of OSX only run on intel macs. They will not run on a G4.
Your alternative then might be to email the videos to yourself. Or search the App Store for an app that will help in the transfer of videos.

Why can't I connect my iPad to the Internet on a University campus?

I have already read some of the discussions regarding this problem, however is it something the university should be addressing or is it fixable by going through various settings within the iPad. Can someone who knows of a tried and tested solution please let me know, as an iPad at uni is of no use if it cannot connect to the uni wifi and access the Internet.

Are you in wifi range? Is school network open or password protected? If it's password protected do you know the password? Etc, etc

I moved into an apartment and trying to join my roommate's wireless. I have entered his Network name and password and tried this every way I can think of but always get "Connection timeout" as a response. my roommate's macbook shows about 15 wireless networks in the area with his dropdown menu bar icon and my mini shows about 2-3 at any given time and as i'm looking at them they pop in and out of the menu. Which makes me wonder about my antenae and why I am not detecting the number of networks he is on his macbook sitting right next to me. Any ideas? I am at the end of my wits trying to figure this out.

If the Airport wireless card checks out, you might want to [check this out|http://www.123macmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22230&sid=1bde03893cefd9b3 6ecaa0fc648cd06d].
Wireless has been a fairly consistent sore spot for mac minis. Some people have improved reception by putting the mini on its side. Others have bought Apple-compatible USB wireless dongles and used them instead of the internal Airport card.
Since you won't be carrying the mini around the apartment, ethernet might make more sense.

Why can't I connect to my 3520 via wireless?

I have a HP Deskjet 3520, and I am running on Windows 7/64 bit.
I have been able to setup my printer through the USB, and I have been able to get my printer connected to the same network, and have setup e-print even. However, I cannot connect to my printer via the wireless, and my iphone cannot detect it through the e-print app.
I have tried turning odf firewalls, re-installing, turning of every part of the chain (ie laptop, printer, router...)
I even tried to connect through my MacBook, and still, I can only "see" it through the USB, even though the printer has an IP address and is able to receive documents through e-print.
Is this a known issue?

On your iPad, go into Settings --> Wifi. Does your iPad indicate your device is on a wireless network?
If so, can you verify your wireless network is correctly functioning?
If not, connect your device to a wireless network. If the iPad refuses to connect to a wireless network. Go into Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset All Network Settings. If done correctly than you will NOT loose any data while reseting your network settings. After the reset, go back into wifi settings and attempt to connect to a wireless network.
