Why can't I connect to my NETGEAR router all of a sudden?
This one is baffling me. So I have a wireless network set up in my apartment using a Netgear router. I've had it up and running for months without any problems. As of last night, my Macbook Pro has been unable to connect to it. It can recognize it along with all the other networks in the area but when I try to join it and enter my password, it says the password is invalid. Before, I never even had to enter a password other than the time I set it up. My xbox, ipod, etc. can still connect to the network just fine using the same password. I switched to Windows on my Macbook and was still able to connect on that side, and I could see that my password was still the same as I remembered. For whatever reason, I cannot connect to the router from the Mac side, even with the correct password, without it telling me the password is invalid and kicking me out. I've tried resetting the router, resetting the computer multiple times, changing the network's name and password, and everything else I can think of. I'm all out of ideas. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Without moving my router or iMac, I can not now connect to my router which is downstairs and almost directly below my iMac. Yes, on-line chat is nothing but a nuisance. I've just scanned their current system and it has changed markedly. You could try another route. Call BT and through their technical department you could 'complain' that your neighbours system is impinging on yours. Talk Talk uses BT anyway.

I can't seem to access my router. whenever i open my router settings through firefox and input the correct username/password, it won't go through. My other router can be accessed but whenever there's a need for the username/password the router can't be accessed.

I have an original iPad 32 why can't I connect on my home wi-fi but can connect anywhere else? No problems at home connect with other iPads and MACs.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

On your iPad, go into Settings --> Wifi. Does your iPad indicate your device is on a wireless network?
If so, can you verify your wireless network is correctly functioning?
If not, connect your device to a wireless network. If the iPad refuses to connect to a wireless network. Go into Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset All Network Settings. If done correctly than you will NOT loose any data while reseting your network settings. After the reset, go back into wifi settings and attempt to connect to a wireless network. -

Why can't I connect to WiFi when asked for a password, but I can connect to the same WiFi if no password is required? When I type in the password, I get the following message, "There was an error joining the AirPort network "Verizon SCH-LC11 d8dd Secure".
When using my PowerBook G3 Pismo, running 10.4.11, I have no problem connecting to any WiFi that does not require a password.

I decided to return to i studio to ask them the reason, but when I gave my IPad to the staff, he just put his wifi password, then the iPad can work as ussually , then he told me maybe my Internet problem, but I can connect to surb my web, I can do everything except to connect the iTunes.
Then after I call to the wifi provider company, they ask me o set up all the proxy then now I can connect to iTunes store as normally.

You say "I am paired" but unless you are a Bluetooth device yourself, what device are you trying to send files from? A computer? A mobile phone? If the latter, which one?
To send files Mac to Mac, Bluetooth Sharing needs to be enabled on both Macs in the Sharing system preferences pane.
If you are trying to send files between a Mac and an iOS device via Bluetooth, then that won't work as iOS devices don't have that functionality. -

the iPhone uses active sync. Desktop clients do not. Desktop clients use another exchange protocol (which i can't remember as i'm not a microsofty).
Just because you can access via active sync doesn't mean you can access it by other methods, and vice versa. -
