Why can't I create a new Apple ID??

Hello,
okay now I'm starting to feel really annoyed with this! I already posted a question, but I'm stuck again.
First problem is I tried to use my Gmail account for iChat, but because I couldn't reach some of my contacts (@mac.com).. through some advice I resorted to creating a new ID in order to get me this bloody @mac.com too. I know I have to use another email address if I want to do that. Therefore that's what I'm doing right know: creating a new Apple ID from scratch.
Now guess what?!? It doesn't work at all!
Got stuck at the registration form. I mean, I filled it all correctly more than once... but nothing. As I go to the bottom where the button says "Create" nothing happens. Instead it takes me again to top as if I had to do it again (all my text is still perfectly in the boxes). For the record: info correct, different email address (form the other ID), so the password. What on earth do I do wrong??

I am trying and racking my brains but I haven't got the faintest idea how to sort this out.

Hi,
What that page does not tell you is if the name already Exists.
Try a slight change in Name you are trying to Create.

Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut off. Hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logos appears then let go of the button and the iPad will restart. See if that helps.

Why can't I create a new version of a photo edited in an external application, without Aperture making a new copy of the newly created Tiff?

When Aperture creates a new version from a RAW file, no new master file is created. This makes total sense and I understand why.
When I edit a photo in an external editor (Photoshop CS6) from within Aperture, Aperture creates a Tiff file to edit in Photoshop and saves it along with the RAW original once I have finished editing it in Photoshop. I understand why this is necessary too. So far so good.
But if I then ask Aperture to create a new version from the newly created image edited via Photoshop, it creates another new Tiff. I can't see why this is necessary. Aperture should be able to apply further new Aperture edits to the newly created Tiff in the same way that it creates new versions from a RAW file without duplicating the master - by remembering any new 'recipe' changes applied to the Tiff. It only needs to remember the edits made as the Tiff already now exists.
Can I stop it creating repeat Tiff files each time I create a new version from the Photoshoped photos?

I clicked on the 'Show in Finder' and it revealed a new file called IMG_0961 (1) which goes with the original IMG_0961.CR2 and the edited new tiff created for Photoshop which was called IMG_0961.tiff
I noticed also that a separate version I had previously created using Canon's DPP stand alone software and titled by me IMG_0961 (DPP).TIF (same thing but from a different original) does not form a new master file when I create a new version of that one. I've tried this with a few images but when the original is edited in Photoshop via Aperture a second version of the Tiff is created for the 1st version of the image when I create a new version fo it.

Why can't I create a new backup if I don't remember the encryption password from an old backup?

I imagine this is so it can simply edit the old backup, but can't I just create a new backup?

Same issue. Have deleted the old backup and can't create a new encrypted backup without the password for the old backup. Can't create an unencrypted backup without the password for the old backup. This is a functional software defect that Apple needs to fix.
NOTE: I AM NOT TRYING TO ACCESS THE OLD BACKUP, I JUST WANT TO CREATE A NEW ONE.

trying on ipad, iphone and new iMAC. Trying to get same functionality I had in Outlook for managing email. I now understand I need to use email with IMAP protocol, and my current primary email provider (Frontier) does not allow that option. So before I dump Outlook and switch email accounts to an IMAP enabled provider I want to know how I will be able to manage email with Apple's mail program. Since I have all these new Apple devices I want to be able to manage all email from any of them. I was trying this exercise to create a new LISTENER to support a connect-time failover on my 10g Database using Enterprise manager.The steps were .1)I clicked the Listener's link on Database control page.2)Next I clicked the Net Services Administration link.3)I selected listeners from the Administer drop-down list and clicked Go.
I received the ERROR message that "Listener administration cannot be performed, as this Oracle Home

Is this normal?

Why can't I create a new site?

I am not able to create a new site. I have tried going to the
site menu and all it gives me when I try to manage sites is an
untitled site in the list. When I open the start menu to create a
new site, this message pops up:

I have tried reinstalling the program after deleting it and
all the preferences I could find. What can I do?

Why can't I create a new landscape document in Pages on the ipad?

I can create a keynote landscape page on my iPad. I can create a landscape pages document on my Mac, email to myself, open on the iPad and it is there, yet I cannot create a new landscape document on my ipad, this is crazy?

Yes, I rebooted but I had the same problem. I ended up entering a new name directly in the Character tag field from the Designer and was able to create it that way. Thanks

My uncle just purchased the new iPad mini and gave his old iPad to my grandfather. When trying to help him set up the old iPad, it wouldn't allow me to set up a new Apple ID. It says that the ability to set up something new has been disabled. How can I fix this?

Without knowing what the exact message is, I'm guessing that restrictions were set to not allow changes to accounts. If that's the case, your uncle is going to have to give you the passcode to get into restrictions.
Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts>Off. That would have to be turned on. You will probably also want to disable restrictions for your grandfather. I can't imagine that he will need them unless he still has very young grandchildren or great grandchildren that he will be letting use the iPad.
I'm curious....did you ask your uncle about this?

I'm trying to create a new character tag in the designer but when I click the down arrow next to Commands, I don't get the COMMAND box that allows me to select New Format. Is this a bug or is there something else I need to do get it to respond? I'm able to add a new paragraph tag with no problem. I exited out of FrameMaker and restarted but that didn't seem to help. Why can't I create a new user preset?

Hi there,
I recently got Adobe Lightroom 5 - upgraded to 5.6 but I can't seem to be able to make a new user preset. I have tried re-installing the program and upgrade but nothing seems to work. I've also clicked 'create' several times with the preset named 'test' but the preset is nowhere to be found.
I was previously using Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CS 5 but decided to switch over because I read about the ease of use of Lightroom. Would appreciate some help on this.
