Why can't I download a book from computer to iPhone

I downloaded a free book Easy Recipes 123 from iTunes (via the code on the SBUX freebie card). I can find it on the MacBook, but when i select the download book option in iTunes it tells me that if i do that then all the songs, movies and TV shows will be removed from my iPhone. This is crazy and absolutely ridiculous when i have only used about 1 GB on my phone. Is there a work-around for this or am i missing something?

Are you using a different account on your MacBook, or is this the first time you sync to it?
Changing the computer or syncing to a different iTunes account will erase the content on your device and replace it with the content of the new library.
Back up manually by right clicking and choosing "backup". This does not include a sync, and you can use the backup again after the device has been erased by iTunes.
Transfer your purchases the same way and make sure there is at least one contact and event set up on the MacBook, to be able to merge data.

Thanks for the question. Was this song purchased from the iTunes Store? If so, it may be that your device is configured to show all of your purchased music that has not yet been downloaded. The following resource may resolve your issue:

View only music that’s downloaded. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store. Under Show All, turn off Music.

i tried to re download a purchased audio book after i contacted apple support team for iTunes they said it would be ready for re download or they said id have to re download it from iTunes store i cant remember, so i tried both couldn't re download it from purchased menu and the book id have to re download from iTunes store costs money as if i have never purchased what do i do? I don't have any warranty any more or money to purchase another warranty.

I have bought 1 MacbookPor 17, 1 Macbook air, 1 MacbookPro 15 , 2 ipads, 3 iphones, and this iMac27 and 2 of iMAC24 or 20 not sure   but I do not recall ever doing what you are telling me in your reply.   When you get a extended car warranty, you don't   sign up for it.. it is just there and is included in the sale.   You don't buy this warranty to use it.. You buy it, in case something happens.   Here a perfect iMAC with minimum 100 hour useage has a dead drive. That is not normal and I should not have to even be requesting anything since most MFG offer a 3-5 year warranty on their disc drives and I believe that is probably passed on to Apple regardless if an extended warranty is purchased or not.   Customer service dictates a more flexible approach to make sure the lifetime value of a customer is not lost due to some misunderstanding.
I was in the MacStore that I purchased the unit..and they found and pulled the invoice and confirmed
the purchase of it in front of me. I had paid with credit card and fortunately it was there in their system.   I do not also recall recieving any box or paper although most everything I ever get remains sealed.. I am not in the habit of opening anything since I have never encountered any serious issues before.
   I have used my Macbookpro warranty 1 time and that is all throughout the years I have been investing in Apple equipment.
I just recieved a letter from the store asking me to get the paper to them so they can register it... I don't recall getting any paper actually. But I do have several boxes sealed here.. On this iMAC27, it was a hurry up and get it done thing and I don't remember taking anything extra with it.   Regardless, my request does not seem unreasonable.

If you have Not On This iPad selected at the top middle of the Purchased tab in the iTunes app, then tap on All Songs at the top left of the screen and then tap on 'Songs By Most Recent' at the top right and change it to 'Albums By Name' - does the album that you want to download then appear as an album on the right-hand side of the screen ? If it does then tap on it and will hopefully download the whole album.

Why can't we download free apps from every region?

I am trying to get the full version for angry birds free, I know it is available to download, however when I do a search in the app store I can't find it.
When I do a search on google, I can find several links to download it, but when I do, I get a "this app is only available in the US store" error.
I don't understand why this happens in the first place, it are free apps, I can download them to my pc, android users can download them without any problems, so why can't we?
As for all the discussions about needing a different credit card for each region is a load of ********, excuse my language, a visa card or any other credit card is made for international purchases, that is the whole reason people get one, it makes no sense why apple is being so anal about it, or do they like o annoy people who spent a lot of money on their products.
Android is gaining on them and pretty soon a lot of people will change to that instead of an apple product unless they get their act together here.

@Demo:This is my first apple device, so I had no idea about those limitations, I knew I could not install Magic 2013 on an android, that's why I chose to get an ipad.
I just think that if enough people actually bother to complain instead of just letting people/governments/companies walk over them, they will actually care what their consumers want/need, that's probably just wishful thinking on my part.
@snozdop: funny you bring up the heinz reference, baked beans from heinz haven't been available in shops here for the last few years, but those are cans, need to be imported and that involves transportation etc. etc.
I am just talking about a digital app, available on the internet(world wide web) limiting regions completely destroys the point of having global internet access.

I just bought a HD movie from iTunes, but when I tried to download it to my iPod, it would recognize that the movie was on my iPod, but the movie woudn't be in my Videos App on my iPod. So then I redownloaded it in SD, and I tried syncing it to it again, but still it would not show up on my iPod. Yes, I've tried redownloading it several times, I've tried updating my iPod and downloading it, I've deselected the movie and then reselected it, I've tried both HD and SD, but nothing has worked. Am I not looking in the right place on my iPod, or is there anything else that I can try? By the way, I have the most recent version of iTunes and it doesn't give me the warning that my iPod can't play the movie. It doesn't even give me the option to make it compatible, if that's the problem. PLEASE HELP ME! I've been working at this for two days and have tried everything I can think of or have seen on the internet. Please give me some suggestions on what to do, or at least tell me if you have had the same problem so I know it's not something wrong with my computer.

hello all
i have a problem downloading previously purchased books from the store. They show up with the cloud symbol and download when I touch the icon. In my bookshelf the download completes then a greyed out cover appears and the Book disappears. I have tried downloading some books a dozen times. I have wiped my iPad and restored it from backup. I have also synced to my desktop via usB where the books are downloaded to but nothing works. I am running the current iOS 8.1.1on an iPad 2 Wifi. what should I do?
i habe no idea what to do. Never had this as a problem until iOS8.
