Why can't I download a song I uploaded in iTunes Match

Of all my songs in iTunes that I placed in iCloud, there is one that I can't download. The program (iTunes or Music on my iPhone) keeps saying it is not available. It was a song that I made digital from the original cd. According to the iTunes store, the album is in the store. So I don't understand why it can't match it. Does anyone know how I can get it back?

If it is not matched, unfortunately there is something missing or not tagged correctly for Itunes Match to recognize it. I have a few songs that it does that for, mainly some Beatles songs which is surprising since they are popular.
I have found that after a few updates of Itunes Match library, it is getting better on matching.
The song should be still on your computer, unless you deleted it.

  • Why can't I download anything online? This includes itunes, applications from the mac app store, and flash plugins.

Why can't I download anything online? This includes everything from itunes song files,to Apps from the apple app store, to flash plugins. I am also unable to install a game on disk. I get messages that 0 kb is available when I just got the computer a week and a half ago and only installed microsoft office and adobe photoshop. Help!

This is a confusing complaint...and kind of disturbing. Perhaps you could answer a few questions:
    1. How much space is left on your HD? If there weren't any available space left, it would be very difficult to boot your applications.
    2. Do you back up at all? Given your situation, it might be a good time to start, given the situation. Backup drives are relatively inexpensive these days.
If this problem persists, a visit to your local Apple Store might be a good idea - but until then, please let the community here help.

  • Why can't I download certain songs/apps onto my iPhone?

I just got a new iPhone 4s, and I was super excited to put all my music on it so I could put more apps on my iPad. The trouble is, when I tried to download my songs onto my iPhone, a lot of them came up with an error saying "... could not be downloaded at this time." and then either Done or Retry - there was no explanation of why. So I pressed retry a couple of times, to no avail, and clicked done. Then it started happening on a whole host of other songs, and now I have a music library with a very pitiful selection of music on it.
I tried ringing Apple Support, but the best they could do was tell me to sign out and back in again, which didn't work, then turn it off and on again - still didn't work. The guy also seemed to have the impression that I had just bought these songs - they're already on my account, I just want to download them!
I have literally no idea what to do. Has anyone else had this problem, and managed to resolve it?!

  • Why can I only download one song every 90 days?

Everytime I try to download a song from my purchased it says one song every 90 days!

    Hello, bridgeted.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your computer has been associated with another Apple ID in the past 90 days.  Here is some information regarding this process.
When you turn on iTunes Match or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it, with a maxium of 5 computers at any time. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated with your Apple ID, remove unused devices or computers, and view how many days remain before the devices or computers can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID

  • Why can't I get a song to load from itunes, or Amazon to the slide show?

I have created  3 slide shows in Photoshop Elements 11.  No problem until I tried to add audio.  First slide show used song from itunes, no problem, 2nd slide show complete try to add new song I downloaded from itunes JUST for this slide show.  Error message : codec required....I spent the next 3 hours attempting to solve the problem, downloaded same song from Amazon and still will not work.  I have also download Realplayer and still no luck. I even downloaded the song into media of photoshop but can't get it from the organizer to the editor on the slide show.

For itunes, try deleting the album artwork, then try again.

  • Why can't I delete music from my iphone using itunes match anymore?

I thought for sure I used to be able to swipe to delete albums or tracks on my iphone - on my iphone 5 I can no longer do this. I found that if I turn itunes match off, I can delete. But turning itunes match on and off a lot is really a huge issue. It seems every time I do this the iphone loses track of some of the music.
Why why why can't these problems be fixed?!

    Awful, awful awful.
Apple ... what were you thinking, and why did you mess up your product so badly?
Why are you screwing over those who are the most devoted, who paid for an extra?
Really.  Could this be more frustrating:
You download a great new album!
You want to listen to it on your iPhone!
Oh wait, your iPhone is full.  Over capacity.  AND YOU SPEND AN HOUR TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET SONGS OFF YOUR IPHONE, reading every forum and every trick to somehow make the product work the way it should.  Trying to clear some space for that great new album you just got!
    But it still doesn't.
... frustrated, you end up deleting the whole library.  Because there seems to be no other way to clear space.
    And re-download.
But "use cellular data" is back on, so it downloads when you're out.
And your phone bill is now $300 because you live in Canada and the data caps are so low.
Great.  Now I paid over $350 to get my music I already own onto the phone.
At this point, the old USB seems like a better option.  Or even the firewire 400.  Longing for the days of my 10 gig iPod with a FireWire cable.
Thanks. So much for "positive user experience".
Easy to buy music, hard to get it on to your device.  But as long as I've already given you my money, who cares right?!

  • Download all songs onto macbook from iTunes match cloud.

I just bought a macbook pro, i would like to download all my music from itunes match onto my macbook but don't want to manually select the cloud for each song. Is there an easier way to download them all?

This is not the best or most efficent way to get your music onto your new Mac. The best way is to copy all your personal content from an origional computer or backup archive. These Apple KB articles can help you:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1408
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
If you insist on downloading from the cloud simply highlight all the tracks you want, right-click, and choose "download."

  • Why can I not drag music to my iPhone anymore - iTunes Match

This is beyond a joke now. I cannot drag music onto my iPhone now.  Apparently I have to download the music from iCloud first.  It comes up with the message, "You must download items from iCloud beforeyou can copy them to your phone."
The music is on my bloody hard drive, why do I need to download it? Just a joke.
This is a frigging joke.  How can I turn iTunes Match off, I've had nothing but bloody trouble with it since I bought it last week.
    - Only about 60% of music is availble, I refuse to upload 8000 tracks, it will take months.
    - I can't drag and drop music anymore to iPhone
    - Why does it not match certain tracks off the same album 6/10 tracks from the same album, really?
    - 5000 tracks with errors, really?
How do I turn it off and go back to normal?  Is my library knackered now, will I have to reimport all my music.
    So bloody annoyed with this.

Well, I've solved the problem now, just about!!!
What I did was followed most of the guidlines in the link you gave me and set the folder location for Itunes library to the D Drive where it was present. I then re-synced my music (which deleted everything and added everything back to my Iphone) and now it is letting me check the point "manually manage music and videos" without giving me the message so I have lost my playlists doing this and had a very frustrating time trying to sort this out but everything as far as I can see is now in place and I've kept my apps etc....
Thanks very much for the link Peter, it did help!

  • Why are so many of my songs greyed out in iTunes Match

Paid for iTunes Match with almost 1400 songs in library.  Only 815 were "matched"  even though other songs from same album were greyed out and can't be played.   WHY?????????

Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

  • Why can I not add certain "files to iPhone because iTunes match enable on this iPhone?"

I have some files on my computer I tried to transfer to my iPhone 3GS. They are mp3s of talks/lectures. No copyright issues. But iTunes tells me that they cannot be added because I have iTunes match enabled on that phone. Any ideas?

iTunes says these files are not eligible for iCloud. So I can't upload them. They are not songs. I've turned iTunes Match off both on my computer and my iPhone. Still cannot add them to my iPhone. Not sure what to do beyond this.

  • Why can't I download the songs from my ipod to my compute

I'm getting insanely frustrated right now. I got an ipod about a month ago and was ecstatic. I could finally get the 12 gb of music off my computer (all songs I've taken the time to copy from my own legal cds) and onto my ipod. So I got the new itunes and I copied copied all the files to my library and then from there onto my ipod.
I then made sure they all played on the ipod and once they did I made sure that itunes was set to manually manage songs and then removed them from my library clearing my hard drive of them.
Then my ipod starts having issues, it will just randomly restart for no apparent reason, so I take it in to the apple store and they just want to restore it which will wipe all my music. So I say uhm no, can I please back it up first and they say they don't support that.
What the heck is going on here, why does it make any sense to have to leave the music on teh computer?!? It's a portable music device!
I found there are programs that will copy the files back but they cost money which makes no sense. Basically Apple has hijacked my songs and won't give them back.
I'd email them directly about the issue but I can't find any sign of an email link anywhere on teh webpage.
Any help would be much appreciated and please forgive the rant but I'm really getting sick of my ipod restating constantly.

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod to discourage it's use as a device for mass file sharing. However there is a manual (free) method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
Not all the third party programs are commercial offerings and you can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
If you want to check out the YamiPod utility it is free but you are also free to make a donation to it's developer if you find it useful: YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
The transfer of purchased content to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7, look under under File>"Transfer Purchases from iPod". A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

  • Why can't I download purchased songs on new computer?

Okay so I'm having a slight issue. I just got a new MacBook Pro and I'm having issues. I am attempting to download my purchased songs. I am in iTunes and when I attempt to download it prompts me to enter my password. Upon doing this it starts to download then gives me an error message followed by prompting me once again to enter my password. I know this is not a wrong password for sure haha I've double and triple checked. I have tried restarting iTunes my computer an other restart based fixes. Just really unsure what is happening.

    Contact iTunes Support -> http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.
As I'm not sure why that would be happening...
