Why can't I download my updates...it doesn't accept my password...changed it several times no luck

Why can't I download my updates....it says my password is wrong...changed it several times with still no luck. What's wrong? When I login to my apple ID it works..whist am I doing wrong?

Have you tried logging out of your account by tapping on it in Settings > Store and then logging back in ?
If that doesn't work then you could try closing the App Store app completely and seeing if you can download updates when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Another option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Why can't I download IOS6 updateon my  Iphone4. I have more than required 2.5GB storage available ?

There is a box under the IOS 6 software update. The box says "download and Install" but I can't highlight the box to activate it. Under that there is a sentence that says "update requires at least 2.5 GB of available storage. I have 9.6 available.

  • Why can't I download the update to Firefox?

I have a brand new I-mac and just recently added Mozilla Firefox to my browsers. I get a notice that a security update is available. When I select update, it say "connecting to update server", but it just stays on that place and never downloads the update. I can wait 5 or 6 minutes and it keeps saying "connecting to update server" but nothing else happens. I am new to Apple after saying farewell to my 8 year old Dell P.C., so everything is new to me. Is something blocking the update? I never had this problem when I used Firefox on my P.C. and since I love it as a primary browser, I want to keep everything up to date.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop
    *Firefox 17.0.1: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application (e.g. open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded

I've been trying to download or update my apps for about last 3 weeks. But the system sends me to another page and asks me to change my payment method. Why is that so?! Maybe i don't want to change my payment method. If this order is coming from some bug or anything, then why there was no action to fix it???

    There is no bug.

OK, so try re-entering your current payment method.

  • Why can't I download or update my apps since new iOS 8 update?

Every time I try to update or download new app from iTunes store I get a waiting below app icon and even if I leave for hours it doesn't progress at all and is impossible to download anything from iTunes store. I ttied resetting my phone and powering down both but still does the same thing!!

I get the same thing... just a spinning icon and the download doesn't even start. This started after updating to 8.0.2.

  • Why can't I download app updates or new podcasts

    Hi,
I have an Iphone 4 with IOS 7.0.3 and I'm unable to download any updates for apps. Currently I have 3 updates available, BBC, Trivago and Facebook and when I go to update them the blue circle just keeps spinning around and never starts.
Along with that I'm not able to download podcasts, it just stays at the preparing to download stage and then just stops trying.
Can anyone give me some help with this?

    Hey ELSheepO,
I would try out the following troubleshooting steps to see if that helps the issue at all:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • Why can't I download or update apps running IOS 8.1.1

    help

had the same problem yesterday. However all is well today.
followed cali71aw advice but include making sure all apps where closed.
double press on the home button and swiped to close any pages on the various apps.
Reset set the iPad,  home button / power button pressed together until the Apple appeared
Went to purchased download the update, one at the time. After each one checking that the blue dot appears next to the app on the home page.
IF the blue dot is is next to the app which indicates a Sucessful download and the app is still showing update I deleted the app and reinstalled it.
if the download was not succesful I moved to the next app and repeated the process.
in my case I believe two apps were in limbo stopping a Sucessful download process. Once cleared the problem was cleared up
Good luck.  Some solutions work for others but sadly not all.........all very strange.

  • Why can't I download the updates?

When i try to update my Adobe Premiere Pro, the updater tells me to turn off the program; I do, then it starts to download and then tells me again to turn off the program. It is already turned off though. Then i get an error message:
    Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Since the program is working kind of funky, crashes alot, i thought maybe an update would fix it, but can't get anything to load.

  • Why can't I download Flip4mac update via Safari?

Because of continuing, apparently unresolvable problems with Firefox 3, I decided to use Safari instead. Apart from Safari being deadly slow, periodically I have had this problem. Each time I receive a "wmv" file, I am told that my Flip4mac is out of date – although I can still open and view the file– and I am directed to the download site. When I try to go to that site and update Flip4mac, I get this message: "Safari can't connect to the server at - download, microsoft.com" I find this strange and irritating. Should I be able to make this connection and if so, how do I make it happen? Any ideas?

I tried the new website you suggested. After proceeding through a series of windows without any difficulty or problem, I get to the point where I receive a window that thanks me for downloading Flip4mac with instructions that tells me how to install the .dmg file on the desktop. But in the processing of downloading, I receive the same message: "Safari can't connect to the server"

  • Why can't I downloaded or update apps anymore?

Ever since March 17th, 2012, I have not been able to update or download apps. I've already lost 4 apps now!
Pandora, Billminder, Movies by Flixster and Dental Expert refused to update. I couldn't use them because they were "Waiting". I deleted them to try and download them. They won't download, either. I attempted another app and it won't download - it just says "Waiting"!
I am very angry at Apple now. I shouldn't have to buy a new iPod just so I can continue using these apps.
There is NOTHING wrong with my account, I've checked.
I have an iPod Touch 3 with iOS 5.1.
I go to iCloud in the App Store and I won't let me download ANYTHING!

No fix yet. I'm testing another app for the time it takes to download. I started at 11:54 am PDT and it's currently 1:03 pm PDT and the app still shows "Waiting". I assumed 6 hours for Billminder because I had been away for about that time and when I got home it was downloaded.
Now, has anyone tested this on the actual computer? I don't have one anymore so I just use my iPod. I've got WiFi at home so it's no big deal to wait overnight while I sleep but this is ridiculous and I wonder if borrowing my friend's laptop that I've authorized with my account (used to upgrade to iOS 5.1) would be faster.

  • Why can't I download or update my apps?

I have a 64 gb original iPad, and I just updated to ios 5.0.1. All of my apps open and function, but when I try to update them, they show the progress bar momentarily, then disappear for a second, and return, with no update. Any ideas? I've tried deleting my cloud account, signing in and out of my iTunes account, neither of which made any difference.

You could try closing the App Store app completely and then see if you can download updates after you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Why can't I download or update apps?

My IPhone 4 will not let me download any new apps or update my current ones. It just says that the apps could not be downloaded at this time. It's been saying that for 3 days now. What's wrong with my phone? I have plenty of memory left.

I know it sounds weird, but often times syncing with iTunes fixes a stuck iPhone.
Update your computer to the latest supported version of iTunes
Connect your iPhone via USB cable and initiate a sync
(This will back up all your iTunes & App purchases, contacts, calendar, etc to your computer)
If that doesn't fix it (and it should), try this:
Right click your iPhone as it appeard in the left column of iTunes
    Select "Backup"
After that completes, initiate a full restore of your iPhone
After restoring, iTunes will ask you if you want to set up your phone as a new device or restore from backup
    Select restore from backup
(Everything should reappear on your iPhone as it was before)
