Why can't I download photos from my iPhone to iPhoto?

When I try to download photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, it says:
Help please?

Only thing I can link it to is the Location services. somehow the phone thinks I can't allow anyone to download images that reveal my location... even on my own computer. A programmers oversight, but i can't figure out how to ALLOW it again!

When I connect the cable between my Cellphone (Vodafone) to my iMac, nothing happens. iPhoto does not recognize my Cellphone. Do I need to install Vodafone software so iPhoto recognizes my phone? I purchased a special cable from Vodafone designed to transfer images from phone to computer.
I download pics from my Canon 20G, Sony Cybershot and Canon G6 with no problems. I love iPhoto.

I may be missing something, but Vodafone is the service provider correct? What phone do you have (example: Motorola V3, Moto V3i, etc)? Does it have Bluetooth? It is much easier to put the photos on your computer first then transfer them into iPhoto.

Where are these files from? That does not sound like an image file. With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:

where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?

how much free space on your boot drive?

Are you sending an email using a return address of, say @xxx.com" but using an outgoing server from a @yyy.com service? If so, this is known as relaying. Many servers now reject such emails, as this method is often used by spammers. Depending on your email provider, you may be able to get around that by going into the settings for that email account and finding a place where you can enter a valid @yyy.com address along with a password. (You'll have to hunt around the settings to find this, IF the account allows for that.)
Example: A non-icloud exchange account: Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars - In the Accounts section, tap the account in question (e.x. yyy.com), tap the Account name, fill in the Username and password in the section that also includes "Domain Optional" where optional is in gray.

I had an iPhone 4, then I got an iPhone 5s and I always managed to transfer my photos to my PC using the assistant scanner and camera wizard. I can't transfer my photos off the iPhone 6 - I still have the same computer, windows XP, the iPhone software is up to date....my computer recognises the iphone 6 but if I try to transfer the photos I get error messages like "unable to transfer the image" and "incorrect image"......help!

Is it possible that you have antivirus software that may be blocking this? Try disabling the antivirus software when you import the photos. Since your PC is recognizing the iPhone, do you have a different software program you can try? You may find some other solutions on the Windows forums.

Why can't I download photos from my harddrive in PSE Organizer 8?

I've tried 3 different times to download my photos in PSE Organizer 8 from my harddrive. Each time I tried a smaller group. I just upgraded from Elements 4 and I was impressed with some of the features with the organizer and decided to try and use it. I have all my photos organized in folders and sub folders. According to the help information, I should be able to just tell it to download all my photos, including sub folders and once downloaded, I can click on folders view (can't quite remember exactly what it's called) and I will find all my photos organized the same way. I have Windows XP. I do have a large amount of photos. The first try included all of them for a total of 11,644, but part of these are .pub and .doc files which cannot be download. The last try was 8,843 photos which, again included files that cannot be downloaded. I was really hoping to download my pictures in an already organized way. Is this possible? Is it that it just can't handle downloading that many at a time, or could it be some other problem?

What do you see that tells you the photos didn't import into the Organizer? Do you get an error message? Does the Organizer appear to be empty when you finish importing?
More importantly, this is not the correct process when moving from PSE4 to PSE8. You need to convert your PSE4 catalog. To do this, open PSE8 and select File->Catalog->Convert.
My advice is to forget importing existing photos into the Organizer, and convert the catalog as described above.

HT201302 Why can't iTunes synchronize photos from my iPhone camera roll to iPhotos on my Mac?

I was really surprised about iTunes. It has option 'iPhone -> Photos -> Sync with iPhoto'. iTunes is so cool and can sync data through WI-FI so I am happy I don't need to plug-in iPhone to Mac with cable.
But this option works only one way. So I can sync images from iPhoto to my iPhone, but can not do it other direction.
I know I can do it with cable and iPhoto but it's stupid: use iTunes to copy data from Mac to iPhone and iPhoto to copy photos from iPhone to Mac. Furthermore iTunes is integrated with iPhoto and iTunes can talk to my iPhone without cable and internet just using WI-FI network.
I know I can copy my photos using iCloud and My Photo Stream, but it's so complicated, it uses my traffic, it stores my personal data on external servers. I don't like it.
I would be very happy if you can implement this feature. So I can go home and be sure my photos is already on my Mac cause I am using the same WI-FI network and it was copied by iTunes automatically.

Since updating to Mac OS X 10.7.3 I can't see my CannonZR 70 in iPhoto so I can import my Project Linus pictures. I have iPhoto 08. I cannot find the Source so I can check to see if my camera is supported. Help!!!

It worked just fine until I did the update to get to 10.7.3.
I am using the card option on the Canon when I take pictures of the blankets.
When I go to the VCR setting, usually the import operation would come onto the screen in iPhoto 08. Now nothing happens.
I have always had one end of the cable hooked to the DV port on the ZR70 and the other to the firewire port.

My mac won't download photos from my iPhone to iPhoto.

It stopped a couple months ago. When iPhoto starts up it says "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it." I hit the "repair" button, which lets me use iphoto, but then when I connect my iphone and try to import photos it says:
iPhoto cannot import your photos to this library because iPhoto cannot access the library. Please repair your iphoto permissions."
I have followed all the prompts, and all my permissions are read/write so it is not this.
HELP!

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
