Why can't I download Photoshop CC on Windows XP?

Having trouble downloading Photoshop CC on my Windows XP version 5.1.2600.
When I hit the download button here https://creative.adobe.com/products/photoshop
I get this message: You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports.
Any help much appreciated?

Photoshop cs6 should run okay on windows xp, but there a few things you might want to know:
The 3d and lighting effects functions are not available on windows xp
Camera raw  and the dng converter won't be updated for windows xp anymore after version 8.3, which is the newest version as of now for photoshop cs6
Just some things to consider if your looking for an excuse to get a newer computer with windows 7 or 8

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) to my Mac Pro desktop running OSX 10.9.3.  My Creative Cloud app shows updates for all apps that I have as CS6 on my desktop but I have only subscribed to Photoshop CC.  Lightroom shows Install but it is installed.  Trying to Install Photoshop CC(2014) results in and error message "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(7) more information.

I also cannot directly download from my account on the web.  This has been going on for a week or more and I have tried numerous suggestions on the forums but got nowhere.  I uninstalled Creative Cloud app today but could not find the installer again so I assume that was deleted.  I cannot download that now as on Adobe's site it says we are experiencing problems.  Aren't we all.
I was happy with CC until last week but now cannot recommend it.
I also have a Macbook Pro retina and Photoshop CC(2014) downloaded no problem on that.

  • Why can't I download itunes to my windows 7 computer

Why can't Idowload itunes to my windows 7computer?

Now I want to download the iTunesSetup.exe file, I only get the thank you page. On some occasions I get the 'save' button window (very seldom it goes to where I can select where I want to DL the file to) but overal, nothing happens. No download starts.
With that one, try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
If you can't get a working installer via the standard download links, try the following download links instead:
    iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
    iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe

  • Why can't i download Photoshop CC?!

When I click on the DOWNLOAD button, it says "Photoshop is a desktop app so you'll want to download it on your computer". I AM on my computer. It doesn't give me any other option to continue the download. What's going on here? My credit card just got charged over $50 for this so it better work.

I ran into the same problem using Google Chrome. I switched browsers, and when I tried the download in Internet Explorer it worked just fine. You will use Adobe Application Manager CC (v7.0) to download the new applications. Try switching browsers to see if that solves your problem? Good luck!

  • Why can't I download large files on Windows 7 in Bootcamp?

I am running Bootcamp on a New iMac running Lion. Everything on the Apple side of my partition works brilliantly. I need Windows to run some old programs which are not available to Mac.
I successfully loaded Windows 7 on Bootcamp after many attempts at downloading the Windows Support files. But now everything works fine until I try to download a file of more than about 2mb. I tried downloading HP printer drivers and Chrome and Firefox, without success. Thinking it must be IE8, I downloaded Firefox onto a Flash drive and installed. The problem still persists in Firefox. I have tried installing a new version of raspppoe.sys as suggested by one internet resource, but to no avail.
When attempting to download in Firefox, one has the useful option of being able to pause and resume a download- so I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader X (50.2 Mb) but had to pause and resume the download about 200 times. It downloads between 0 and 1.5Mb on each resume session and took over an hour in total. Can anyone help, I’m going nearly mad (my Mrs thinks I have already)
The only conflict I can see is that my isp router settings are for pppoa whereas Windows 7 does not seem to support this protocol, using pppoe instead.

Windows needs about 50GB of room, plus some breathing space.

  • Why can't I download iTunes on my Windows RT tablet?

I have just got a new tablet that runs on Windows RT and, unfortunately, I can't install iTunes. Why is this? Will I soon be able to?
    Thanks for your help!

Well i have to say something because every time i need some response of  Apple (un)Support Communities, i always get this kind of rude responses.
Apple (un)Support Communities are full of rudeness and funboys that dont help anyone. They always think that they have the best products.
You call windows RT a toy now, but let me say that i am a IOS, Android, and windows RT user in my mobile devices, and the one that is less productive is the IOS. With my RT now i can install rj45 network adapters, printers, wireless mouses, external devices and more. I can work with zip files and file manager that is very very productive comparing with the apple ios mobile devices and im not saying that i dont like ios devices.
And Ailsa, a valid response for us on this, is that itunes need  1 GHz CPU, 400 MB disc space and 512 MB de RAM but to work in windows rt devices, they need to program it to work in ARM processors.

  • Why can't I download Shockwave 11 on Windows 2000

I have a Windows 7 but I'm trying to update some plugins that keep popping up on every page that loads on my mom's computer saying it needs updating. (The computer only runs slow when it pops up which drives me crazy) She has a Windows 2000 and Shockwave has to be updated to Shockwave11 (she has 10.1 ). I tried to install it but when i do I get an error message that says
"Adobe Shockwave Player is unsuported on Microsoft Windows 2000. Adobe Systems Inc does not verify the behavior of Adobe Shockwave Player on this platform. Please see the technote http://www.adobe.com/go/kb40332 for more information"
Then it asks if i wish to continue and another error pops up and basically I have to abort the installation. Adobe says that Shockwave 11 can be installed on Windows 2000 but I would have to install "Microsoft GDI+library" for it to let me install it. I installed them and I still get the same message. What do I do???

I remember getting the same message when I still had Windows 2000 a few years ago.  Continuing from that message always installed Shockwave Player 11 successfully.
What was the 2nd error you were getting?
