Why can't I download the latest version of Flash player?

My system recently updated from Windows Explorer 9 to Windows Explorer 10. But I was encountering issues with trying to update to the latest version of Flash even prior to that. I keep getting the prompt that an update is available, but when I follow the steps, I get to Step 1, and click on the "Install now" button, and the screen changes to Step 2 but nothing else happens. For a moment it says "Initializing..." and then it says "If you encounter any issues downloading Adobe Flash Player, click here." But nothing else happens. If I click on the "Click here" button, it just tells me that when the File Download box appears I should click "Run" and when the User Account Control box appears I should click "Yes." But neither of these boxes ever appears! Very frustrating! (My current Adobe Flash version is 11.9.900.170 and my security program is Norton 360). Thanks.

Everytime I go to watch youtube, or use websites that require the flash player it tells me that I need Flash Player 11.3 or higher. I go to the website to download the latest flashplayer and it tells me to download 10.3 (which I already have). What's the deal?!
I'm running Leopard on a Macbook Pro.
I get the same messages in google chrome and firefox!

I am running OS X version 8.0 (i think the most up to date). Why can't I download the latest version of iPhoto?

Can anyone help. I am trying to download Iphoto from the APP store. Everytime I try it says I need to update my operating system software. It also says I need to go to the updates screen in the AP store to update the software. When I go there, it says my system is up to date. Mac OS X 8.0. Can anyone help?

Difficult to say when you provide no details, not even the operating system running on your computer. Post back with more information, including what happens when you download and install the standalone updater (iTunes tab above) and someone will probably then be able to offer suggestions.

Why can't I download the latest version of iTunes?

I've tried at least a dozen times to install uninstall reinstall the last eat version of iTunes but nothing seems to work. I didn't uninstall the softwares associated with iTunes properly like it says to and now I can't do anything. someone please help! I hope I'm not the only one who did this by mistake :(

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Why can't I download the latest iTunes to my mac which is a 10.5.8

I have got myself in a real mess, I installed the new iOS 7 onto my iPad and I don't like it so I imported all my new photos to my mac, then I reset all my settings on my iPad thinking that it would go back to the original settings but alas didn't work.
Then I thought I would put up with it but now I cannot put my photos etc back onto the iPad because my mac needs the version of iTunes but when I try to install the new version I get a messy come up that iTunes cannot install this new version on my mac which is a 10.5.8.
So now I am stuck with the software on the iPad I don't like and I cannot sync the iPad to iTunes
So why can't I download the new version of iTunes to the mac which is 10.5.8

Put simply, the minimum system requirements for iTunes have changed. You need a Mac running at least OS X 10.6.8.
It's best you look online to see if your model of Mac can be upgraded to at least 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard". It should still be possible to order a copy of Snow Leopard if so.
