The Windows Media codec you are using is running in the "demo" mode. To export full clips you must purchase or upgrade to one of the export capable codec components like those included in the "Studio" or "Studio Pro HD" software package.

Why can't I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1? Every time I try it gets all the way done downloading it; however when it's processing the file the page tells me "There is a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. or try again later." and next to the file it has err = -3259. I have tried this 17 times and it won't work. My iTunes is completely up to date. I have made sure that my connection is fine and I have tried turning my firewall off with no avail. This has happened to me before but usually the update will go through after 2-3 tries, never to this extent. I don't know what to do. Help!

The songs on my iPod Video 5th Gen now, were at one time on my computer, but have since been erased. Why can't I export the songs from my iPod back on to my computer? I have this same problem with my other devices (iPad 3rd Gen and iPod Nano 6th Gen). I am really frustrated now, because it seems as if I have to start all over again. Why can't I download my already purchased music and other files from iCloud, even though I owe money to iTunes for my most recent purchases. Doesn't seem right that they keep me from accessing those files which I've already paid for!
- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

Why can't I export a 4k ProRes movie in premiere? There is no quicktime codec listed anymore...
In all of the previous versions of premiere i was able to select my ProRes codec for exporting a movie.

I'm from Denmark and I need it just to convert into TXT with OCR with out looking af the language.You can't do OCR without knowledge of the language, because a crucial part of OCR is spell checking to test the possible text extraction. Well, you could try claiming the language is English, but the result may be unhappy.

Am afraid I don't quite understand your question since we can export and create/author DVDs. If you are asking why iMovie does not do so directly, then yes there is a problem of technology involved. QT is basically a "temporal" synchronization multimedia "engine" while DVDs are based on "spatial" compression and synchronization. Therefore, a different "engine" is required for processing the data -- Compressor alone for advanced compression and DVDSP for advanced authoring or a combined simple compression and authoring application like iDVD. If you are asking if it is possible to combine the capabilities of iMovie and iDVD into a single application, then I suppose it would be possible but probably violate the standing policy of Apple's normal "KISS" (Keep it Simple, Stupid) approach of doing things and likely create a whole new level of problems to add to the current ones already present. -

Can you please tell me how the PDF that you're converting was created? Sometimes, PDF files created by third-party PDF generators (that is non-Adobe applications), don't contain all the tags and file information necessary to ensure a proper conversion to Excel. There are no settings that you can change in ExportPDF to adjust how the file is imported.
You can tell how the PDF was created by choosing File > Properties in Reader and looking for the PDF Producer on the Description tab. If the PDF was created by a third-party, it just may not be written to spec. Please see Support Policy for PDF Files created by non Adobe applications.

Absolutely. Go to File->Export->QuickTime Movie (do NOT use QuickTime Conversion). Make sure you check the Self-Contained box. The export will be an exact copy of your Sequence, complete with any filters or other effects you've added. Import the self-contained movie back into the project (or another project) if needed.

Why can I no longer add photos my iPhoto book? Is there a limit to the number of photos? Must I delete unused photos?
This is book # 13 and I've not encountered this problem before. I am dragging photos into the sourse pane but they are not imported. I have other books w/ over 700 pics (not all used) but this has only 300+ so far. I've copied the book to a pdf and it looks as if I'll have to redo it unless there's another solution.

Why can I no longer, after having downloaded Lion, write accents and other diacriticals when in the Google, Yahoo, FaceBook, or even here in this post? The new method for getting at the "option" symbols works fine in other places like spotlight, but now even the older "option+letter" doesn't work in most places.
Chrome doesn't support the new accent/diacritics/macron chooser. I'm not sure about other browsers such as Firefox. You can use the old Option+letter combination that Doug suggested. Hopefully updates will solve these little incompatibilities shortly.
