Why can't I fill in captchas with Safari (I can with Firefox!)?

It has happened on more than one site with Safari. A form is rejected because the Captcha is not correctly typed when I use Safari. However using Firefox with the same site allows the form to be accepted. Is this because the captcha displayed by Safari is not cycled properly when the web information is loaded?

There are more then one site who has this problem. I thought i solved the problem not to use matt forms and changed it into capcha who did work a time but no also not anymore.
here are some sites.

As well in IE and Chrome (in both settings aswell IE and firefox) the forms work correctly.
Maybe mozilla has to change settings?

NoScript stops cookies, please disable this addon/extension as well as make sure that the language en-us is installed.
    # 1) Open up the Firefox Preferences tab. You can do this by typing about:preferences in the URL bar.
    # 2) Click "Content"
    # 3) Next to "Languages", click "Choose"
    # 4) Select "English/United States [en-us]", click "Add"
    # 5) re-open "about:accounts"
    # 6) Click "Get Started"
    </blockquote>
Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I already did all of these things. As you can see from the below screenshot, the language is already set. Also, this screenshot was taken in Safe Mode, so NoScript is not enabled. About:accounts still says I need to enable cookies for some reason. So, this solution didn't work....

  • Why can't Firefox find the simplest sites and sites that I frequent?

Why can't Firefox find ANY of the servers for the sites I frequent the most?
Were you bought out by Google Chrome? This is beyond frustrating and ******* off your customers even if you are a free service is probably not a good business model.

To disable IPv6, change the preference network.dns.disableIPv6 from "false" to true . Here are the steps:
Type '''about:config''' in the address bar, press Enter.
    Find network.dns.disableIPv6 in the list.
    Right-click -> Toggle.
Restart your Mozilla application and try again.

  • The Dolphin Browser is compatible with the Toshiba Thrive (I can see video). Why can't Firefox provide the same?

The Toshiba Thrive is not listed on your site as a compatible device. I have installed Firefox on my Thrive. I love the inteface. But, the lack of a flash plugin is a deal breaker. If Dolphïn and Opera and Maxthon can provide it, why can't FF?

Flash on Android is not the same as Flash on Windows or OS X. Adobe and Google have both radically changed how browsers and plugins interact. Without documentation about these changes the Firefox developers need to try and make educated guesses about what Adobe and Google designed. This is a slow and hard process.
Most browser are only a skin over the Android stock browser. Thus they get Flash support for free. Getting Flash working on a non-stock browser is a lot more work. Firefox 10 will provide very limited support for Flash in 2.2 and 2.3 devices.
Work is ongoing on getting Flash working on Honeycomb devices.

  • Why internet download manager is not compatible with firefox 5. can i found another download manager for firefox 5 like IDM???????

looking for download manager like IDM to firefox 5

There are parts of the CMS that don't work with Firefox 6. They do in IE and Chrome but I much prefer Firefox. Until they get their CMS updated to work with version 6, I need to go back to 5. And I can't undo the upgrade because I have a new laptop and the only options to load were Firefox 6 or Firefox 3.6

  • Why can't firefox deal with percent max-height of percent max-height?

I think this is possibly a bug.
Firefox is not able to use percent max-height of a percent max-height. Chromium does. But it is difficult to explain. Please have a look at this fiddle, with firefox and chromium, you will see the different behaviour by resizing the browser window: http://jsfiddle.net/qx75g/
I need this for my website but cannot use it, because it does not work with firefox :(
    ( archlinux with firefox 28.0 )

Okay, so the page on MDN says
<blockquote>The percentage is calculated with respect to the height of the generated box's containing block. If the height of the containing block is not specified explicitly (i.e., it depends on content height), and this element is not absolutely positioned, the percentage value is treated as none.</blockquote>
    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/max-height
That seems to be copied more or less verbatim from CSS2 Level 1: http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visudet.html#min-max-heights
Which makes me think that it isn't like to change in the near future...
Any reason not to set height:50% for .inner? How does leaving that unspecified benefit the layout?

  • Why Can't Firefox Uninstall Itself Completely?

I use MZ components because I appreciate the options to closed apps such as Outlook, IE, etc. However, one thing that bugs the heck out of me is the inability to completely remove itself when so directed. If an app like Firefox knows how and where to install itself, why the heck can't it completely uninstall itself?
I recently completed a clean install of W7-64b on a new machine and added Firefox 10. Experiencing an issue, I uninstalled it (or so I thought). From that point on, new installs froze the system and produced random issues of lockup. Checking the registry I found remnants everywhere even after asking to completely remove personal files, history - whatever. Removing all the remnants and reinstalling fixed the problem.
Like I said above, if you know where you're publishing during the install, why can't you also make sure you go back and remove everything when directed?
As a workaround, at least publish a checklist for following up to make sure all registry entries and directories are removed.

Delta Search in NO way comes with firefox, unless you downloaded a bogus firefox, always download from mozilla.org

  • Why Can't Firefox Zoom Feature remain constant on all windows?

Why can't I keep the same zoom size on every window that pops up instead of having to use the zoom feature under the view tab every time a new window comes up? IE has this feature. Why don't you?

    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
    * Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
    * Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
    * Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
    * Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
    * Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
    * If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • With Firefox 24, sign-on ID and Password were automatically filled-in. With Firefox 26.0, this no longer happens although password memory is enabled. What to do?

Neither the ID nor the password appear on one site but both did appear with Firefox 24. I have an iMac with OS X version 10.9 (Mavericks, which is also newly installed).

Can you confirm that the login is still saved?
Firefox menu > Preferences > Security > "Saved Passwords"
You could try deleting the saved login and saving it again -- if it can be saved again; some sites try to block that as well.

  • Why can't Firefox 3.6.13 (paticularly) download (there are no plug-ins that interfere with downloading or anything else)???

Since I installed version 3.6.13, I can't download ANYTHING. Firefox shows the Downloads window and that the file is downloaded, but there is NOTHING, and I'm sure it's not an AV problem...

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? <br />

  • Why can't Firefox make it a built-in option to display previews of tabs open as shown via the "Tab Sidebar" add-on? If this were an option I would gladly switch to 4.0

I have Firefox 3.6, with certain add-ons that I use frequently. The main one being Tab Sidebar. I like this add on because I know what tabs I have open specifically (God forbid you have two tabs open from the same site on normal tabs) with the window preview to the side. I like this because it saves me time and I love how easy it is to navigate my tabs. However, this add-on is not supported in Firefox 4.0. I guess I can just wait until the developer (if he ever) makes a newer compatible version, but why isn't this option automatically offered through firefox? I think I'm going to stay with 3.6 until the kinks are worked out.

hello, i think that this was an intentional change to have more space for website content - i don't know a way around that unfortunately...

  • Why can't Firefox still not show a pdf properly from within the browser and do we need insufficient and not working add-ons?

I never succeeded to show a pdf properly in the Firefox browser.
There is an add-on, but the add-on itself tells you already in most cases that you should download the pdf because it can't show the pdf properly. I can't understand why that is! It makes my live much more complicated, since we have an application running that constantly should be able to show pdf's from within the browser.

The add-on you are talking about is pdf.js. pdf.js does it best to show you what the pdf's it is given are, but pdf.js is not 100% compatible with all elements that can be put inside a pdf. Another problem pdf.js faces is that many pdf's generated with proprietary software either do not conform to the pdf spec or use proprieatary elements that only pdf readers that the company has designed or partnered with can interpret. I promise you Mozilla doesn't want your life to be any more complicated than it is but sometimes it is simply not possible for pdf.js to read a document when the manufacturer of the program that generated the pdf doesn't play by the rules.
