Why can't I find my back up music from my iPad on my mac?

I updated my ipad which had a itunes british account and I have my American itunes account. I would like to have my music that was on my ipad back on my ipad. I am very upset. I did back it up. I don't know where it is.

By 'uploaded a load of CDs' do you mean that you added them to your computer's iTunes library and/or synced them to your iPad ? And you are using the same computer that you added those CDs to ?
An iPad is designed to only be synced to one computer at a time, so if you have connected it to a different computer then iTunes would want to replace what was on your iPad with the contents of that computer's iTunes library.

There has never been a function to copy anything from an iPhone and paste it to a computer.
All of your media should be in iTunes already.
If it is not and was purchased from iTunes, right click on the device and select Transfer Purchases.
If the media is not in iTunes and was not purchased from iTunes, how did you get it on the device in the first place?

What country are you in ? Re-downloading music isn't currently possible in all countries (the record companies need to agree to it for each country). If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, then if the tracks are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

WEll, I send messages to everyone on my iphone, just cant get certain ones on the ipad. Only 4 or 5 people so far can get my messages and respond on ipad. All the people have iphones and I use facetime to talk to them, but no imessages.....frustrating. I have read all the articles and tried my best. I might go straight to the apple store locally, and see if they can help me.

Most of my music wad not purchased on itunes so i can not sync the ipad and download it. Any good suggestions on a software transfer for me to try?

Why can't iTunes find any of my music

The photo above is only the start of my current issues.
Bascially after moving my music from my Macbook HD to a seperate Wifi HD in my house iTunes can not "locate" my music. That is kind of a seperate issue, as I know how to put music back on to my computer from the Wifi HD. THe reason I moved it was that I was consuming 90% of my 320G memory.
Now I am getting this iCloud error message on almost every single iTunes song I have bought. That is thousands and thousands of pounds of music cant be played.
This iCloud problem is also effecting iMatch to my iPhone and iPad as well...!!!
Anyone have any ideas whats going on ????

HI THanks for this helpful post. I will try this. I have 2 iPods. One is 3rd Gen. I love the little small square, so I bought it on ebay. Then I got a little iPod nano ( again a tiny square shape)
So I tried to sync them today and update them.
This is the response I got.
I get a message that the original file cannot be found and asks if I want to try and locate file. I locate the file and it's empty?!
This freaked me out because I have all this music I love. The only thumb drive is my back up drive which is not a thumb. Will the back up drive have my music files too?

Why can´t I see contacts and calendar events already registered in my iPhone, in my Mac Pro ? I already actualize LION OSX and selected these items in the adjustments menu of the icloud. I could do it just once, after I installed Lion OSX, but up to the moment it does not updates.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.

Why can't I find App Store or iTunes on my iPad Air anymore?

I got this iPad Air as a late Christmas present this past Christmas. Up until this point, it's worked very well, but now nothing to do with the App Store can be found. Siri cannot see any app named AppStore or iTunes, the search cannot find anything to do with it on the iPad, and it cannot be found scrolling through All the apps either.
What do I do To fix this? sorry but my mom let my little brother cover this iPad in stickers, and all basic info is covered for now other then this is a iPad Air

It looks like its had 11.7 GB usable, with just 1.1 available. I don't know about the processor, but I suspect is clocked slow by factory for battery since my iPhone is far faster in all equal areas but battery on this lasts far longer then the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s
